Stressed
We got involved with Poynton Law end of Apr 2022 from May 2022 what should have been a straight forward business transaction on their part we were given a time slot of about 6 to 8 weeks. It went on for around 23 weeks when we finally gave up on Poynton Law.
Communication with these people was on the border of impossible sorry Dan's in a meeting I'll get him to ring you when he's free ( In your dream's ) Sorry Nick's not in today. the excuses went on and on.
I emailed the man Nick Stratford the man in charge of this company for some answer's about the 9th December 2022 but they never came.
We have never come across such an unprofessional gathering of people in my life. They are always on the
phone in meetings or out visiting clients doing anything that avoids facing up to their clients needs. I have never in my life been so stressed out and getting NO WHERE.
My advice to anyone needing the advice of a solicitor
stay local avoid Poynton Law like you would the plague.
After going on 8 months of stress and frustration is they are unprofessional. infuriating and boarder on being ignorant to the people who employ them and their Company.

My advice is simple. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

What an appalling company. I have never dealt with a company quite as incompetent as this one. Their staff managed to completely mess up a SIMPLE transaction due to poor communication and inaccurate information. After giving Poynton Law ample opportunity to resolve matters, they refuse to communicate with you and will make sure the person you need to speak to is always otherwise engaged on the telephone or in a meeting...sometimes both at the same timel! Harold and Dan have been particularly poor, but in all honestly the entirety of the staff force are just not interested after they have taken your money, which has been the issue in my case. After raising a complaint about the service and the TERRIBLE communication, I would have expected updates on the complaint, no such luck. Never-mind, I thought, I will chase them up myself. After speaking to Dan on 7th September 2022, I was told Harold would contact me ON THAT SAME DAY to update me. 16th September 2022 and no phone call so again I have to do the chasing. Lo and behold, Harold is on the phone I am told and Dan is on holiday, I ask how long Harold will be and the phone line gets cut off, strange. I call back instantly to be told Harold has now gone into a meeting, strange. Anyway, I've still to get anywhere with this appalling company, this transaction is still not complete, I have still not found anyone willing to take my call on the first time of asking.

If you value basic levels of customer service and any form of decency, please find someone else, there can't be anyone worse.

While doing Equity Release with Key on recommendation we decided not to use our own solicitor but Poynton Law as they specialised in property. We certainly made the correct choice as the whole process was painless and so professionally handled by Alex Briscoe at Poynton Law. As with our experience with Key, Alex fully explained the process and legal side and kept us updated with regular phone calls and emails. They arranged a home visit by Selena Bawa who is a solicitor to go through documents and sign. Selena was so very professional and helpful reflecting what we have experienced with Alex.
Because they specialise the whole process of the equity release was completed in a week of Selena visiting us.
We would highly recommend using Poynton Law and would not hesitate to tell family and friends to also

Shocking service. Our Equity release case was slightly out of the ordinary as it involved a property as part of a managed estate. This completely threw Poynton which showed their lack of skill in such matters. It seems they can't deal anything unless it's presented to them all on a plate. VITAL documents received by them not reported to us thus delaying the process by over a month. Couldn't be contacted via phone and emails took weeks in replying. We've issued a formal complaint. We would have disputed their fee but they took it at source. Go with your trusted local solicitor. You'll end up doing all the leg work if you go with Poynton. Avoid.

This is the second time I have used Poynton Law and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them. All staff are friendly and polite, and are great at keeping you updated as to what’s happening with your case. Nick, Dan and George were extremely knowledgeable, polite, friendly, and couldn’t have done more to help me. Thank you all so much.
