These are basically ‘disposable shoes’. I got two pairs for Christmas. After 2 months the heel of one was coming apart, bits of foam were coming out above the toe, the insole was worn through. I emailed (assuming this was a one off poor shoe) and was told ‘we have never had a problem with these, you must be wearing them wrong.’ Since switched to the other pair and the heel has cracked in under a month, so one shoe makes a loud squeaking noise as I walk (worse after rain as moisture gets in). So avoid! Absolutely dire quality and dismissive, unhelpful customer service.

Happy with the Louis Leather trainers I…
Happy with the Louis Leather trainers I bought from Pod Shoes. They come in a nice presentation box and smell nice and leathery. I spiced them up with a pair of flat waxed dark brown cotton laces from Big Laces (just £3.19) in a 120cm length - whereas the shoes come with 140cm laces from Pod, which are a little too long. Otherwise happy with the shoes which are genuine and well made.

AVOID - Terrible design and terrible customer service
I ordered some cup-sole shoes from POD for my husband and I. When they came and my husband tried them on, he said my heels are slipping out. Mine seemed OK at first but he immediately said they don't feel right. They look great but are slipping off. I send a picture to pod next to a pair of an old pair of cup-sole shoes I have, and you can clearly see the heel is short and dead straight, rather than curved like the actual shape of a heel. It's very very clear there is a design issue - see profile picture above - pod shoe on the left. After a first response, they made me pay to send them back, even though it clearly says on their website, faulty shoes are returned for free and have sing ignored my last 2 emails. When I actually wore mine I found that you had to do the laces up super tight to stop them slipping - definitely issues with the design - I would avoid them like the plague - extremely unprofessional at dealing with clients and cannot admit, even though it's as clear as day, that there is a design issue with their shoes. Customer service 101 - don't ignore clients - At the end of the day, whether they look nice or not, shoes are primarily for function and these shoes do not function.

I know you ordered 5 of the same style of shoe and then wanted to return the ones for your husband and keep yours. When the size 12 was inspected by our in-house technical team it wasn't deemed as a manufacturing fault, it is just the design of the shoe, as seen on the website. We do not offer free returns, as a small brand we offer free shipping at this time. I hope you can understand.
