Very disappointing experience with Plumbing Force.

We were charged £444 to replace a simple tap, which already felt excessive. On top of that, they added a parking fine caused by their own engineer and even charged VAT on top of it.

This was never made clear upfront. Completely unprofessional and poor customer experience.

Customers deserve transparent pricing before work starts, not surprise charges after the job is done. I would not use them again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service and billing ethics of this company. My boiler broke down due a faulty spark generator, and I ended up being charged over £1,400 - a new spark generator costs approximately £50. The engineer insisted on replacing several expensive, functional components first (the PCB and gas valve).

Most shockingly, the engineer actually admitted during the visit that he didn't think the expensive parts were the problem, yet he proceeded anyway. I was even charged £300 just for his travel time to go and collect these unnecessary parts. To top it off, he took the functional PCB and gas valve away when he left and PlumbingForce are refusing to return them or to reimburse me for their value. The after sales manager has been arrogant and dismissive in his responses to my complaints, hiding himself behind jargon such as “standard industry practice” in an attempt to make me go away. He has now stopped responding to me altogether, while not denying that the company has a responsibility to return the PCB and gas valve (which tells me they know they need to).

PlumbingForce has refused to take any responsibility for the botched diagnosis, claiming they "followed manufacturer’s instructions”. This was a "trial and error" repair at the customer's expense rather than skilled diagnostics. I only chose this company due to their high rating, but I now strongly advise future customers to think twice and get a second opinion before agreeing to any significant repairs they suggest.

Unfortunately, we got caught by them instead of using a local, recommended plumber.

The ‘so called’ engineer arrived with no ladder and no torch to inspect a tank in the loft. He stood on the toilet and said the tank needed to be replaced at a cost of nearly £6000!

When we complained to Plumbing Force and asked for a refund of our initial £144, they replied with what I imagine are their stock answers and refused to refund.

A lesson learnt! I say again, avoid this company.

A new macerator was tidily installed and is working satisfactorily. Thank you.

Engineers were very polite and friendly . Unfortunately an hour after they left we experienced a low pressure issue and had to to refill the boiler. When I contacted the office they were very unhelpful and told me they would need to charge me again to send another engine to check out why!! Id already paid £144 for the service and told them I should not have to pay again as message only appeared one hour after the service!! They still insisted if have to pay! I will not be using them again next year if this is their attitude!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not prepared to offer any.help once they've taken your money!!

Called and arranged a visit to identify issue within days, on visit located problem and ordered parts needed and revisited within 48hrs to install and repair. All good.
