Avoid at all costs — The worst of the Worst
If you value your time, money, or sanity, stay far away from Plaza. Endless issues, zero accountability, and a deposit process that feels like a tactical obstacle course. Communication was either slow, contradictory, or simply nonexistent. Even basic obligations turned into months of chasing and confusion. I’ve rented in multiple countries and never experienced such an unprofessional, chaotic system. Absolutely not recommended.

This is not “student housing.” It’s mismanagement, negligence, and disrespect packaged as accommodation.
If you’re considering moving into one of Plazas complexes, think twice. Although there is limited housing in the Netherlands and you should take what you get, this company is one of the worst ever. The price is excessive (1,200 Euro P/M) for what are ultimately poorly managed and unsafe buildings. Plaza’s communication is genuinely some of the worst ever experienced. Tenants are constantly ignored, dismissed, or given contradictory information. Concerns are not taken seriously, no matter how urgent or legitimate they are.
Non-residents frequently enter the buildings, urinate in common areas, openly take drugs and offer them to residents, harass women, hang around in stairwells, smoke indoors, steal, damage property, loiter outside and make tenants feel unsafe, especially women walking alone. Despite repeated reports, Plaza does nothing to address it.
Recently, in De Flier, the entire common area flooded and the company refused to deal with it the same day, leaving foul, dirty water everywhere. This level of neglect is not unusual, it’s the norm here. Rats and mice are also frequently spotted indoors and plaza does nothing about it as apparently its 'normal'.
Studios are handed over in poor condition, black mould in vents, excessive dust that never goes away, maintenance takes ages, and staff often respond with unprofessional or dismissive remarks instead of solutions. The attitude seems to be: ignore it until it goes away.
The neighbourhood where De Flier is located is also far from safe, which makes Plaza’s lack of security and lack of care even worse.
Overall, the communication is awful, the management is unresponsive, and tenants are treated as an afterthought. For the amount of money people are paying, this is completely unacceptable. This is not “student housing.” It’s mismanagement, negligence, and disrespect packaged as accommodation. For the price they charge, the quality and safety, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

They are scammers avoid them at all mean it was set up to scam unsuspecting client who innocently apply for an accomodation after collecting a fee and sending vital document you always never get any room or anything, I wonder why all they have not been cracked down

Oh and washing machine? 3€ and 2,75€ for drying, also more than somewhere else.
In addition to that in the play I stayed, we paid 200-300 € more than others in better housing situations.

The platform fails at communicating to the users when a property is in treatment with other candidates, unless the property has been accepted by a candidate (from that moment on, the listing is moved to "in treatment"). The lack of feedback and silence (that can last up to 20-25 days), makes it basically impractical to use the platform.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. The oven produces a loud, disruptive noise similar to a lawnmower when in use, yet the company refuses to repair or replace it, stating that it is 'still functional.'

Houden zich niet aan afspraak
Plaza resident services houdt zich niet aan afspraak. In moest vandaag mijn borg terug ontvangen en er werd tegen mij gezegd dat het nog verlegd wordt met 5 dagenlang Terwijl dat niet de afspraak was. Ik ben student en moest vandaag mijn nieuwe huisbaas de borg betalen anders kan ik daar niet wonen, maar hun boeit het niet. Jij moet wel op tijd alles betalen.

De grootste oplichters ooit!!!! Als ik nul sterren kon geven had ik dat gedaan. 9 jaar gehuurd bij Plaza en alleen maar problemen gehad, met ratten, defecte wasmachines, geen warm water, verwarming die het niet doet, liften die het niet deden, schoonmakers die niet goed schoonmaken, brandalarm die zeker meerdere keren afging in een maand, ventilator die het niet doet, schimmel in de woning, geen verlichting op de gang, Owjah en ik krijg ook niet mijn borg terug.

Sinds 2022 niet meer een bewoner en als nog stuur ze elke jaar een “servicekosten” en nu uit 2023 komt ze weer met dat bull.shit!!!! Wil je betaald worden oplichters ga dan via de rechter ja!!!!
Grootste oplichter in EU!!! Vriend je kan beter onder een brug wonen dan bij deze grote oplichters Plaza Resident!!!

My review is in regards to getting a apartment in Maastricht. In short, the plaza service is like a casino, pay first then ... maybe.... if you're lucky there's a slim chance you might get a place to stay. A place that is around 15m² and is exorbitantly expensive for the size (+ - 700€). The customer service shouldn't be called service because it feels like you are providing them a service. They require a vast amount of documents from you and provide almost nothing in return.

Ik zit al maaanden bij plaza.
Ze zeggen "reageer sneller", maar ik plan dagen uit waar ik om de 10min-15 min de app open doe om te refreshen en dan de seconde dat er een woning is reageer ik. DANN worden ze allemaal gecancelled?(dit gebeurt heel regelmatig)
Ook krijg je pas meldingen van de woningen om 18.03 terwijl er gewoon door de dag nog wokingen geplaatst worden waar je geen meldingen van krijgt.
Ik weet niet echt waarvoor ik betaal ik heb het gevoeg dat ik stiekem opgelicht word....als ik hier doorga blijf ik bezig.

1. No transparency regarding the offering procedure. You will never know your rank on the list, whether your documents are sufficient, and how long you are supposed to wait.
2. There are many messy codes in the description section on nearly every detail page. And never expect basic information like floor plans and housing allowance eligibility from them. They are just literally incapable of maintaining those basic things on their home website.
3. Bad, bad, bad client service. They are never providing real solutions. On the contrary, every time you reach out to the client service trying to get some problems fixed, they will treat you like a troublemaker and be hostile instead of helpful.
4. Just search their old name Camelot Europe, and you will find many interesting things. Why bother improving your service if you can simply rebrand to get rid of all those negative comments?

I'm a working professional and have taken a subscription with Plaza Residential Services. I've applied for several places, uploaded all necessary documents, and kept everything updated.
