Avoid this scam!

This company cold called to offer a package of discounted holidays (5 holidays self catering for one week) to use during a 3 year period, paid in advance. Unfortunately I fell for it as they made many promises about wonderful holidays at fantastic resorts in many different countries but when I actually wanted to book there was very little choice and most resorts were in Tenerife. We eventually had one week self catering in Tenerife and the resort was ok but in a very inconvenient location. Because we wanted to get some value out of this, I've just tried to book another week in Tenerife but now I've been told they no longer offer Tenerife and only have a couple of places in Bali.

Scam artists

I'd welcome Platinium Weeks to reply to all the hundreds of complaints by defrauded persons why their comments are unjustified
In reality, the company IS crooked as are their staff who know what's going on.

Easy Consulting SL of Alfaz Pi, Alicante, Spain

This company (Platinum Weeks) now operates as 'Beach Travels' or 'Extra Time On Line' and continue to rip customers off. My late wife purchased accommodation with them two years ago but sadly died suddenly last year. Beach Travels then subjected me to high pressure selling to extend the time period of that offer or lose the money she had paid. I paid extra to extend this period not knowing the full arrangements. As I have no desire to travel without my late wife (nor now have the physical ability to) I have asked the company which owns these firms for a refund of just over £2000 as no flights or hotels have been booked. They refused stating their 'Terms & Conditions'.
Do NOT have anything to do with any firm owned by Easy Consulting SL. (They also operate under other travel firms)They are rip off merchants who will take your money and then bleed you for more!

as per many of the below messages

as per many of the below messages booked in covid on what seemed like a great deal. Tried to cancel day after booking and sent a letter to the address which I believe is bogus and then tried phoning. Got through to the manager who was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with and refused to refund any money, even though it was within 14 days which I am sure is illegal.

The company then badgered and harassed me for 3 years to try and spend more on upgraded products even though I told them I had written off the money and wanted nothing to do with them. They promised me on numerous occasions that they wouldn't phone me any more but would give it a month and then start again usually from various places around the UK on the called ID.

Luckily for the past few months haven't heard from them so hopefully they have been shut down by whatever country they operate in and prosecuted.

Worst experience ever.

Unfortunately I have a really awful experience with Platinum Breaks as other customers say. It all started for me with COVID and I am embarrassed to say they probably ended up with a couple of thousand pounds as I kept extending the period I had with them in the hope of getting holidays. They are based in Spain and call you all the time from various mobile numbers, they never leave messages or email. You get you into a contract and you have to pay a yearly admin fee. When you ring for a holiday they put you through to Horizon Travel and all holidays they either haven't been able to find anything or I could find a holiday cheaper elsewhere. The representatives who ring you are all very polite and convincing, they give you a high price so you can keep your weeks holidays and then drop it down. They also got me involved with Best of British breaks who will still be wanting more money from me. I am totally embarrassed about the situation I have got my self in and don't discuss it with anyone. The only holiday I ever booked was at an Holiday Inn Express in Bristol and I could have got it cheaper with Booking.com. I have told them I want nothing more to do with them and have written my money off. They will still ring me wanting more money. Please have nothing to do with them.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM - they sell you bargain price holidays (too good to be true) and yes you guessed it right. Once paid up - they will come up with 100 excuses why you cannot book the holiday that you want or when you want or that particular holiday is fully booked or its available in the middle of winter / etc etc. The customer service team is well trained and they give you real (not true) stories like "Ohh I went there last month and it was great / etc etc" "You will enjoy it - lots of fun" etc etc. - in the end years will go by for you not being able to use the holidays that you paid for!! And they will keep calling you to sell other packages and to extend your package for a dirt cheap / discounted cost "especially for you" - but you are not getting anything out of them.

DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY

If I could give zero to this company I would. They contacted me by cold calling during lockdown told me that they were doing a deal on short breaks it sounded really good so I paid the money and was told I could book anytime up to four years. I tried booking a couple of short breaks but was having to give several dates, resorts etc proving very difficult to book anything. A couple of weeks later they contacted me to ask if I wanted to take out five weeks holidays over four years for literally the price of one £549.00 for five weeks a bargain right NO BE WARNED this is a scam. They took my money for these so called weeks. I was unable to book anywhere due to covid restrictions. Then I got another phone call to offer me some dates but I had to pay an extra couple of hundred pounds. Well I did not book anything, they have called me several times since 2021. I have asked for my money back on several occasions, they say they do not do refunds. So they have £549.00 of my money with no holidays times booked. I advise you not to take these platinum weeks as everything is not as it seems. I will never get that money back they must be rich by now as I know of several other people who have experienced the same thing.

I am not sure where to start except my…

I am not sure where to start except my Husband and I were cold called by this company offering several weeks of accommodation for a low cost in exchange for a upfront payment. We were advised flights were not included and we would have to pay more money to use a supplementary resort. It all sounded straight forward and we were told that we would need to go to a sales meeting at some resorts. We agreed to a initial purchase of week only accommodation and paid upfront. Within a very short space of time we were contacted again and offered a 'upgrade' and also mini breaks which did include flights. The weeks were apparently better accommodation. We agreed to the upgrade. Since purchasing we have been through 2 lockdowns and were always advised not to worry at the package could last until 2024 and then advised further extended until 2027. We have not booked any accommodation due to covid and having a child and working with vulnerable people. Last Summer we did phone the bookings number and attempted to make a reservation, a man who could barely give us the time of day said all of the resorts were shut and no future bookings could be made as the sales staff were all out of work. He advised a call back later in the year.
We have for the last 3 months been contacted by so say representatives of Platinum weeks saying that they have being trying to get hold of use as our weeks are running out? The last female actually said 'you need to start paying some maintenance for these week'. I was so shocked , this was not sold as timeshare. Each phone call there is a different excuse for calling and trying to get us to part with more money , the last calls being told our weeks expire 3 February , this was not what was sold and appears to be a never ending cycle of being asked to part with more money. Just to be 100% clear we have never taken 1 of the weeks that were purchased and have now been told that we need to pay more money to keep them. I asked the last person who contacted us from Platinum weeks where she was calling from as the number was a 0117 (Bristol) area and she advised that she was calling from Spain. Be careful if you part with any money ad it appears that some very under hand practices are used and even though something is put in writing to you , they will still ring you and ask for more money and tell you all your weeks that were purchased are expiring. The mini breaks are not apparently also gone. I am awaiting a response from Platinum Weeks but unless you answer a Sales call they are very hard to get hold of and despite being told you can make a booking of their website , you cannot. Be warned.
