I signed up for the starter plan on November 13, and just today I got an email that my account was suspended.

I was using my phone number for the occasional phone call with a client, and during my first 1-2 weeks I sent some cold texts to businesses in my niche. I sent a maximum of 20 texts.

Not once did I spam anyone or send an inappropriate text.

After they suspended it, I requested a pro-rated refund or credit, which they didn't provide.

I'm glad this happened early on so I didn't waste a lot of time and money with Phone.com's sub-par services.

Don't Use to Conduct a a Business, you will lose customers

Anyone considering phone.com as their voip provider needs to look elsewhere. I have been a customer for over 4 years and they completely turned off my ability to text people who have reached out to me. They claim it's due to Federal Regulations but the regulations were never meant as a roadblock to a company that does not engage in sms marketing. My customers who have found me online and have decided themselves to use sms rather than a phone call are completely blocked from receiving a reply. I had many conversations with phone.com customer service agents but it didn't change anything. Now I have customers upset that they are not receiving replies but my hands are tied.
Besides the above problem, at least half the time it takes repeated dialing to call someone. The first few times, is just silence. I've even had to use my personal line because it's gotten so bad.
Overall, there just have been many other issues along the way which I've tried to overlook. Now, I'm going elsewhere to someone who wants my business.

Terrible service

Terrible company. Major hassle to set up, poor coverage here in Las Vegas, needs frequent updates that are a hassle to do, text messaging quit working and it was so much grief to resolve that I just went without texting for months, made it hard to port out my number out, kept billing me after I ported my numbers out. I switched to Tello, VASTLY better service. If you hate your life and want stress and wasted time, then phone.com is for you.

If there was a way to give 1/3 of a star, I would do so. Horrible! They are leaving us high and dry, and we are psychotherapy group practice. Endless run around and new regulations and administrative hoops that have rendered our phones non-functional. I am about to walk away and eat the cost. Our clients need access to us.

Worst phone service ever

Worst phone service ever. Had them for 2 months and no calls can be made or received. Customer service is almost non existent and they use promts that don't answer the question. Then when you get someone if you ever do they ask the most basic things and the issue never gets resolved. Avoid this if your trying to run a business for a professional company. Phone.com is for anyone who wants to pay money but not have an actual working service.

Phone.com is not for the professional business. Spotty and static phone service makes you look very unprofessional when you use their service, I used one of the vanity numbers paid top dollar and never worked right. When I canceled I told them I want my money back for the wasted time, and the time I haven't used yet and they refused. So now, I have to get the Mad Men involved for the principle of the matter.

SAVED MY COMPANY!

I don't understand all the negative review's when I got the best customer service ever! Tirthraj and the team at Phone.com are the best. They work very hard to satisfy their customers. I have been a long time customer of Phone.com. Many times I have had trouble paying my bill. They usually work very hard to help me keep it. Unfortunately, I recently lost my business 800 number because I couldn't afford to pay my bill again, this time it was too long. I have had that number for years and it was published everywhere. I don't recommend not paying your bill cause you run the risk of losing it. Sell something, anything, but pay your bill! It definitely hurt my business when I went to run ads and that number was all over the internet. No way can you change decades of publishing and sharing of that number. In both print and online. I really want to thank everyone for getting my phone number back as it was in the process of being assigned to another company. Blessing to you all. Phone.com is the best company for your business.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. I paid for a year in advance and everything was good until about 8 months in, when i receive micro charges on my account. I disputed these with my bank, which they are still looking into. Since I filed a claim on these charges, Phone.com proceeded to cancel my phone service within 3 days of this with no compensation to my 4 remaining months. I filed a dispute with my credit card company for these charges but unfortunately too much time has passed and i am unable to get any of my money back. i will never work with these guys again and i had multiple numbers for my business thru them. if you dont listen to me, at a minimum, DO NOT pay in advance!

Don't use phone.com, you'll regret it.

I was with Phone.com for three years until their Yealink phone had a vulnerability that allowed a hack into our business systems. I reached out to their support team and received no response. I had just renewed my annual subscription. I changed service providers over the whole debacle and phone.com would not give me a prorated refund. Shameful business practice.

Terrible customer service, terrible tech support, terrible product. Still trying to cancel my account- that’s becoming yet another strike. Don’t even begin with this company. Pay a little more elsewhere and get a lot! RUN!

Scam Likely

i have a lot of the same issues as other reviews. Calls constantly drop and worst of all I gave them and ID name but my number displays as "SCAM LIKELY"!!!!! I paid for my LEAD calls!!! I completely Wasted about $1500. Phone.com really has no customer support either. and the ones who answer are not trained at all!!!
Two stars for the HYPE. They make you think you got a deal but you get what you pay for.

The company charges a $200 "hold" fee up front to make international calls, so if you have a VA, you need to pay this. I stopped using the service about 5 months ago, and when my $200 was depleted, they continued to charge my CC for additional months. I asked if they could return the last charge, and they refused and said the cancellation request must be made 15 days prior to your next invoice, which is a shady way of scamming you out of at least one additional month of service. I have dealt with many other companies who refund payments for honest mistakes or services not actually used. Phone.com acts as if the 15 day rule is not subjective, and can't be changed. I will never use this company again, and I would recommend you find an alternative company for your needs if you are considering using them.

You someone else do not use Phone.com

The service was terrible. There was such a delay when speaking on the phone the customers it was just terrible. Eventually I stopped getting notifications about phone calls. I had my phone number transferred to another service but phone.com. Continue to charge me for months. When I called them to find out why They told me because they haven’t spoke with me to cancel. I was not able to use the service for two months even though they were still charging me. When I called, of course the phone call goes to India, and their English is not very good. They refused to refund one month of my service that had just been charged to me the day before I asked to speak with a supervisor and she was rude as well and said they wasn’t returning anything to me, even though I didn’t have service for two months. Beware of these people I think they are scammers and just out to take your money and they are hard to cancel and will continue to charge you even though you’re not getting service. I would choose another company if I were you and not use Phone.com there, Service and Customer Service and business ethics are awful.

Two Aluminum Cans and a String Would Work Better

App does not work. They asked me to make phone calls from my laptop.

Notices about incoming calls were delayed.

They refused to give me a refund.

I filed a complaint with the FTC.

I disputed the charge with my bank.

Sometimes incoming Phone.com calls displayed myself as the caller.

Text notifications delayed. Text notifications were often wrong.

They keep promising to fix the app. But they don’t.

It used to be good, now it's a broken mess.

It used to be good. Now when something actually rings through, the call shows on the log of the other number (the one it didn't ring to). I have notifications set up for text and email. They come hours late and multiple times. I've worked on some of these issues with customer service for weeks. Today, even the customer service chat is showing everything typed in twice. They told me to call phone support and that kicks me out saying I requested a callback instead of hold which I did not do. I give up.
