I would love to write a good review about this company.
Unfortunately after 9 months, when it rains our PV system causes a fuse in the control panel to trip.
Phase energy have been out about 6 times to fix the problem and we have probably had upwards of 50 rain related fuse trips. Now the company don’t respond to my emails and don’t pick up the phone either.
Prior to having PV panels installed by this company there had been no fuse trips.
I would expect this system to not cause fuse trips on rainy days having spent 10k
Perhaps consider using another company.

It’s always a worry when responding to cold calls but on this occasion I was very glad I did. Phase Energy are excellent, their staff are experts and know their stuff and I will certainly be using them again.
There aren’t many people who have this depth of knowledge about electricals.

I left it a year after installation before leaving this review in order to get a full seasons worth of data and i can confirm Phase energy were extremely accurate with their proposal.

Our installation was a small business, 80 panels in total and all was done in a day with the scaffolding erected the day before and removed the day after.

All very well done. couldn't ask for more.

From start to finish Phase Energy were a great company to work with.
The whole team were easy to talk with and had a friendly attitude.
Any issues were resolved quickly and professionally.

I bought a 40KW ground mount PV system with 2x20kw inverters and 20Kwh battery for my business. I paid £55,000 and now 8 weeks later in February 2026 the system is still incomplete, unfit for purpose, and I recieve no export payments.
Liam has not tried once to rectify the issues or even contact me of his own back. I have chased him up just to get poor excuses and no progress.

The contract was based on a survey by Phase energy.
In their sales pitch there seemed to be no limits to what this company could do and they praised themselves for not taking payment before the system was fully completed and up and running.
The instalation team seemed to be poorly instructed and even the fact that the ground was sloping seemed to come as a supprise! Not the instalation teams fault but some comunication problems clearly.
Materials arrived from the day before install (inverters) and during the first two weeks of install including lories turning up to a private property at 8pm asking for a forklift! This meant that I had to help the driver offload equipment that should have been offloaded with a forklift. It was no problem (apart from missing an apointment at my sons school once) but it may be worth others knowing.
The weather was not good and the ground workers and installers worked hard in the rain to get the pannels installed over 3 weeks which was much longer than anticipated. This was partly due to the weather and partly due to poor organisation by the office.
I was disapointed that even though I paid 55K for this system, the designers in the office could not spare someone coming out to look at the site just once to deal with issues. But as Jessie from the office said "I am in the office and to busy selling, I cant come out"

Anyway the install team worked really hard to complete the install and we really appreciated it.

However, I noticed that although we had clearly agreed and signed a contract for two 20kw inverters, Jessie and Liam decided to install a 17kw and a 20kw inverter. No one told me of this change and when I questioned it, Liam told me that they could not get 2 x 20kw inverters from the supplier at the time of order. They had 3 weeks to sort this out and there are plenty for sale. I was then told that it would perform almost as well and with only a 0.4% drop in performance compared to two 20kw inverters. So 0.4% in the system lifetime is just over £1000 of lost performance according to their own calcualtion at POS. They did agree to a £1000 reduction but I would ideally have wanted the correct inverter which I told them.
This is absolutely not ok but luckily I noticed.
I had also made it very clear to Jessie that the monitoring of this system on an app was very important for me and Jessie assured me that this would not be a problem. He had many ways to overcome the fact that there was no internet signal where the inverters and battery were to be installed. The electrician installing the inverters also had a good idea of what TP-link was need to get the system online based on its location.

So the install was switched on on 12/12/2025 but work for the internet connection was to follow in early January.
Despite promises of not requesting payment before the system was fully completed, Liam requasted the final payment at this point. AND how silly was I!!!

On 19/12/2025 the system was completely dead. I phoned Liam and he could not say what was wrong with the system as there was no internet connection. Fair enough, but the interest in helping me getting the system online was mildly put as lacking. After sending him an email to chase him up I finally got the info I needed to reset the system manually.

The system has since been offline 4 times and despite me chasing Liam up in January he could only give poor excuses and he has shown zero interest in fixing this. Absolutely unbelievable when a customer has paid £55k and the system is now still not fit for purpose. He has also failed to supply me with the DNO details which I need in order to get my companys export payments. This is the whole buisness case and there is clearly no appreciation that this is now losing my company money every day.

It is now early February and Liam has still shown no consideration to the fact that his install is unfit for purpose and what he should be doing. So I am now contacting NICEIC to see if I can get the system removed and have my money refunded. Next step is legal.

I had alot of sympathy for the issues due to the poor survey or what ever went wrong there, as well as the deliveries and the poor weather. We even gave the team some money for their hard work.
But sadly Phase Energy has no consideration for peoples money and with Liam being the director it comes right from the top!

Shame on you!!! Please spare me anymore excuses althoug I am sure your response will have lots of them.

Really bespoke service, friendly team and dealt quickly and fairly with all the challenges we had including running building work concurrently and ensuring the install was very neat and how we wanted it. We went for 16 panels & Powerwall and couldn't be more pleased, it's simple to use and saving me money.

Phase Energy exceeded all our expectations, from the initial assessment through to smooth installation and commissioning. Moreover, the subsequent customer support allowed adjustments and optimising to best deliver to our changing needs. (Which enabled replacing our petrol car with a PHEV). After one year of use, this 17-PV panel system has never failed to deliver good results. We are proud to share that after four seasons, the resulting annual energy profile is: 10,365 kWh produced, 24.3% exported to the grid, and 12.5% imported from the grid. I wish we could have done this years ago. A solid company, highly recommended.

We have had our battery and solar panel setup for nearly a year now, superbly installed by phase energy. We have had no issues at all in that’s time and the electricity saved has been amazing. The only regret has been not doing it sooner!

The phase energy team did a great job fitting our solar panels and explaining how the app works .

Great service from these guys, I enquired with a few companies of which Phase was quick to answer any questions before arranging a survey to ensure solar with right for my business.

Following this, the representative visited & completely broke down the proposal and benefits we would see including a rough ROI.

We then proceeded to have the system installed on our large outbuilding by their electricians quickly & efficiently while walking us through the whole process from start to finish. We even received an aftercare call from Liam a few weeks later to confirm everything was running smoothly.

We highly recommended this company!

Phase Energy are a very good reliable honest company also very helpful and friendly. Always there when and if needed. I would definitely recommend Phase Energy for your solar panels and batteries. 👍

Everything with the experience was good, from consultation through to insulation went very smoothly and the aftercare was also very good.

Very good info on product and helpful to design the system we required. Very quick to install the system and a very nice team of installers and office staff. They have been very helpful and their aftercare has been great too. The system works better than we expected as we have now had it for a year. I would definitely use them again.

From start to finish have not got one complaint job was completed on same day whole installation thoroughly explained how to use any time I’ve had a query it has been sorted highly recommended

We had our solar panels and batteries installed Nov 2024. After a year of use we feel we can comment properly on Phase Energy. They have been very good and provided the support we required. We are very pleased with the installation and it continues to perform well.
