I dont think I ever have tried that horrible service before - we was late due to traffic, was not allowed to eat there the rest of our booked time slot of cause still offering to pay the full amount but we were offered to wait an hour to next time slot or pay cancellation fee = 300 £ per person. As we could not make it for the later time slot (flight schedule) we payed 1200£ for nothing - no we actually had the joy of a long conversation with the very rude phone keeper trying to explain to us that we could not come late because they wanted to ensure their guests got the perfect experience!? What a f….up customer philosophy

My wife and I were taken to the restaurant at Petersham Nursery as a special treat. The food was great but not great enough to justify the price.

We had a very good lunch here, recommended especially weekdays when it's quieter.

I have had an opportunity to visit Petersham Nurseries recently and I must say it was a big disappointment. I live in Petersham so I have heard so much about this place so I was excited to visit it. I have received a gift voucher from my client so it was a perfect time to explore this please. The restaurant looks lovely, great interior design and that was probably the best part about our experience. The menu is way overpriced. You cant order one meal it has to be a set menu which I is very limiting. My fiancée and I don’t drink any alcohol due to our professions so we had two courses each with water only. The moment we have mentioned we don’t drink alcohol I felt funny attitude as of course we won’t be spending any extra money on alcohol. The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. Portions were very small. We had two starters and two mains which coast us £70 each plus 13.5% service charge which I think is way too much considering the service we have received. You can’t find out about the menu , neither prices unless you make a reservation. After you get your booking confirmation you get information about prices of set menu and if you cancel less than 24 hrs you get charged £30 per person. I have booked the table on the same day so of course couldn’t cancel and found out about the ridiculous set menu once booked the table. No information about % 13.5 service charge anywhere. Apart from being greeted, seated there was nothing extra about the service, we didn’t need any information about alcohol so our service was very simple. I know so many lovely restaurants in Richmond area that serve beautiful food for way less with an amazing atmosphere and service. Our total bill was £160 minus gift voucher. Also forgot to mentioned when I booked the table I have mentioned about our voucher but at the end I had to chase after it. I would think if you have made notes about clients gift voucher you would ask for it. My fiancée and I weren’t impressed at all and I don’t think we will visit this place again.

Attractive Nursery different to the norm, but hugely overpriced goods and restaurants, be careful not to take a celebration cake as they want to charge ‘cakeage charge’ as you would ‘corkage’ if taking wine etc. Utterly unacceptable and just another hit on the paying customers, nothing to do with food safety or hygene as it was never going into their kitchen anyway. Their own menu was overpriced and small portions of food that was just ok not fantastic as you’d hope for at the price, won’t visit again seen & been I’m afraid, service & front of house was depressing.
