Saw Peter last night in Glasgow. A 2024 Christmas present from our daughter. We thought Peter was a little "off kilter" in part one. However, I think he maybe had a cold. Drinking lots of water. Sad... Mehr ansehen

Absolute has-been. Don't waste your money.
Absolute has-been!
Hasn't changed his act in the slightest to move with the times or written any new material.
Younger generation must be so disappointed having to listen to old adverts from 20+ year ago which they'll never have seen or heard. Rather than make up new material tries to interact with the audience to run down time and still talks about his nana. Give it a rest.
Remember though, he can pick on you in the audience but if you heckle, him he has no comeback, so will have you evicted.
Unfunny
So disappointed the first 30 minutes or so people singing old adverts what the youngsters thought I have no idea. After 30 minutes we left it is disgusting you can’t get a refund!! Very poor performance we weren’t willing to wait any longer to see if he improved
Overall Weird experience
Went to see him at Newcastle, just a rly weird experience. I’m in my 20s and have liked videos of his stand up on YouTube but an entire half hour dedicated to singing ads from 40-50 years ago is just unfunny to the vast majority of people. And why is there an AI Noel Gallagher with a shovel that was just very strange
Peter Kay Newcastle 23/8…
Peter Kay has been on my list to see for ages and had never been able to get tickets before now. We went to his Newcastle gig on Saturday 23rd August. What a let down. Bitterly disappointed. A couple of gags that made me chuckle that’s was it. Filming the audience, a singalong to old adverts and tv programs. Mis sung words of songs topped off with Mr Blobby flying above the audience. Dreadful. Never again. Time to call it a day Peter.
Well done Peter Kay
Well done Peter Kay. He put his heart and soul into the show and didn't disappoint. Great night watching a naturally funny bloke
Aw Peter you weren't very good mate
Aw Peter you weren't very good mate . Ive loved your shows for years . No idea what this was about at all . Singing old adverts the audience entertained themselves you did very little .
Last time for me pal .
We saw Peter at the Arena in Newcastle…
We saw Peter at the Arena in Newcastle last night, 22/8/25. I found him still really funny but the element of using swear words and being blue didn’t sit well with me. However, I would go again tonight if I could. The second encore was brilliant and well thought out. Thanks Peter 😂😂😂
Proper belly laughs
Newcastle last night- bloody brilliant. Loved it !
Proper belly laughs.
Great start to the weekend
Peter Kay..laughed from the beginning…
Peter Kay..laughed from the beginning all the way to the end.
This bloke is a comedy genius, after reading some of the reviews we were considering not going to see his show but we are so glad we did.
Thanks Peter
Peter Kay - Newcastle - truly dreadful.
Just returned home from seeing PK at Newcastle and it was truly dreadful. In fact it was so dreadful we and quite a few others left at the half time interval. The old funny comedian is gone...replaced by an unfunny act that relies for almost a quarter of the show on trying to draw comedy from 60's and 70's tv adverts. Another big change from his previous persona is the vast overuse of foul language. I'm far from being a prude but I remember seeing him live where the use of such language hardly featured in his act...now its 'f' this and 'f' that every few minutes.
Watching his old live performances you could see the audience almost rolling in the aisles...tonight there was hardly a ripple.
Methinks it's time for him to retire gracefully while hes ahead (but only just)
Had his day
Clinging to his good old days by a thread , poor
What a disappointment!
I was looking forward to this SSE concert but I was so disappointed and bored most of the time.I didn't pay to hear Peter Kay sing TV adverts and TV themes for about 30 minutes in total.I think I laughed twice all night.I can't understand anyone giving this a good review. If you have a ticket for a future gig my advice is sell it!
Agree with everything many others have…
Agree with everything many others have said. After such a long time it was very disappointing. Very few funny anecdotes and too much singalong
So disappointing
So disappointing. After almost a 3 year wait, we were really looking forward to seeing Peter as he was definitely a favourite of ours. We don't remember him swearing as much in previous shows or being a little bit 'blue' but maybe that's a new direction for him and it isn't something that would put us off but he never needed to go that route before.
There were a few funny parts, but most of it seemed to just be filling time. After such a long wait for the show, it would have been great to experience material that is worthy of him.
The first bit was a little nostalgia, singing along to old tv ads, but where exactly was the comedy?
The encore also held no comedic value for us.
Disappointing and sad to say, we probably won't bother going to one of his shows again.
Has Peter lost his mojo?
One of my favourite comedians after…
One of my favourite comedians after Billy Connolly, Peter is a nice person, I got my ticket nearly 3 years ago after his original tours was cancelled, Friday the 8th Belfast very disappointing, similar to some others it was like a pantomime the first part audience singing to Old adverts, his material after was very dated and the punchline predictable, I left early at the interlude
What a wonderful evening
What a wonderful evening. Peter can make you laugh at anything and it was wonderful to see him back xxx
I would go again tonight if I could
Disappointing
Saw Peter Kay at the SSE Arena in Belfast last night. I had never seen him live, but I’ve enjoyed most of what he’s done on TV. So with a massive sell-out audience, I was expecting a great evening.
Sadly, it wasn’t so. There was a lot of somewhat strange apparently ad-libbed audience interaction for the first half hour. This was based around signature tunes and advertising jingles from the 70s and 80s, and it descended into a holiday camp-like sing-a-long. Goodness knows what the younger members of the audience made of it. Even to this 60-something it felt very strange.
He then launched into his “act”, a series of loosely connected mildly amusing anecdotes. His vocabulary was a lot more blue than I remember from TV.
The second half began with (I think) a recording of Richard Burton narrating the opening lines of HG Wells “War of the Worlds”, and Peter then appeared, singing “Is this the way to Amarillo”. Weird.
There was then a somewhat cringe-worthy video tribute to his now deceased nan, and that was it. Except it wasn’t. We then had one rather boring encore based on his often repeated gag “misheard song lyrics”, which really should have been retired a long time ago.
And finally, there was a second encore. I won’t spoil it, suffice to say it gave new meaning to the word bizarre. It had me wondering what on Earth I was doing there, and immediately after that thought I began to plan an early exit to the car park.
Peter Kay does come across as a nice guy, but he desperately needs new material, and someone to give him some direction.
Disappointing
We went to see Peter Kay at the SSE Arena in Belfast. The experience was desperately disappointing and unfunny. He didn't seem to have prepared an act. It was full of old or boring material only suitable for Butlin's. And it relied on audience sing alongs as fillers. A shocking waste of time and money. Sell your ticket if you have one.
Peter Kay at the 02
Went to see Peter kay at the 02 last sat. We were so disappointed. The mouse je made eating the sweets that 'dropped' onto his stage was disgusting. He started singing old commercials then also at the end he descended over the audience singing songs like scoobybdoo etc. Focusing too much on audience participation....we went to hear your jokes not stupid childish songs! A total waste of time and money! We were such fans but so much old material too.
Peter Kay 2025 Tour
My husband and I went to see Peter Kay at the AO. We’d had the tickets for two years and we were so excited to see him as he was one of our favourite comedians. I did laugh, but his material was old, the encores were probably the most entertaining, I hate to say it as I love him but I think with the weight loss he has lost his funniest. After such a long break I would have thought he would have had new material but it consisted of panning in on the audience and tv ads from the 70/80s, very disappointing.
