The QR code we received when booking a space online didn't work at the entrance so we had to get a ticket, so we had to pay double (the prebooking price and the price at the garage because the QR reader didn't work.
Terrible experience. Could not get our car out, even though sign stated they had after hours service until 3:00 AM. Called the number listed at midnight and the first person I talked to said there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. The second time I called, the rep was kinder, but said they were a 3rd party call center and they had no contact information for after hours service. I was told there was no way to get my car until 8:30 AM and had to get a very expensive hotel room.
I reserved a parking lot online for my trip to Washington. But I encountered a problem that the scanner in the parking lot took a long time and did not work well. I could not scan my parking pass.
I wanted to reserve a spot for an entire evening until the garage closed. However, when I made the reservation, it said it was for only 30 minutes. I had to call in to confirm that I had paid for the whole evening. Then when leaving the garage, the QR code on my phone could not be read by the scanner. I had to call an attendant to open the gate. Overall it was a hassle.
Parking went fine, easy entrance, spaces available, however, it charged me another $15 to leave the garage because I left 20 minutes past the time I signed up for. The problem being that if I signed up for another 2 hours, it would still have only been $15 and I wouldn't have had to pay extra. I signed up for 3pm to 10pm, arrived at 5pm and left at 10:20pm and I was charged another $15 on top of the $15 I paid already. If I signed up for 3pm-11pm, I would not have been charged extra. It makes no sense.

I had an issue using the app to park here- the manager Mekides went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Well worth your time for a safe place to park.
The space: 3+ floors. My car wasn’t broken into, so a plus for DC. Very clean and gated.
Great for parking for the Anthem or other wharf activities.

I visited DC with kids. It is very easy to find a parking and pay in advance. Price is reasonable.

The provided addresses was 1201 Maine Ave SW Washington DC. That entrance was closed, twice I called the posted phone number and explained my situation to the operator and both times I was put into someone's voicemail. I had to go into the office building where a security guard told me there was an entrance at 445 12 st SW that might be open, I went there and was able to get in, I explained to the cashier what had happened but he appeared uninterested. All in all I wasted nearly half an hour and was late for my appointment.

Everything worked as expected. We reserved a parking space in advance.

The garage was easy to access and the process was very easy. I printed the QR code and simply scanned it to enter the garage.

No need to scan QR code if you put your plate number in the reservation. Camera will recognize you by plate number automatically.

The reservation was easy to set and the parking lot was easy to find. The entrance scanner wouldn't take the QR code at first, but an employee helped soon enough.

I reserved a spot in a DC lot that turned out to be inaccessible due to road closures. The hoops to jump through to request a refund were not clear, so I sent a contact form and simply never heard back. Spot Hero had no such complications.

I used Parking.com to find and book parking for a sight-seeing day trip to D.C. While the service was effective at finding parking, it fell short in the booking category. I paid in advance for the reservation ($22), but when I showed up at the garage the kiosk threw an error when I tried scanning the QR code I was given to access the facility. Using the call button I was connected to a central, off-site location. The operator was helpful and was able to let me in. However upon departure I encountered the same problem. This time, unfortunately, 1) the call button didn't work; 2) calling from the adjoining entrance kiosk, the operator wasn't able to help me; 3) this second operator was much less enthusiastic to troubleshoot our problem; 4) after the operator disconnected from the call my only recourse to exit was to pay $22. Again. (TL'DR: $44 for a $22 reservation.) I'm a digital product director, and while the concept of Parking.com is sound, the execution fails in the details. They need to troubleshoot these issues, then scale the solution.
UPDATE: Parking.com refunded the additional $22 charge after seeing my post, for which I'm grateful. Thank you. It's worth noting that there's no obvious mechanism for the customer to address an issue like this. The Parking.com website offers a Contact Us page that is an email form, which means the user has no 'receipt' of submission (unlike a 'sent' message to an email address). Alternately, the website proffers a toll free support number accordioned under "FAQS > General FAQS > I have an issue or question about reserved parking. Who should I contact?" It also bears mentioning that the way I was able to solve my problem in the moment—namely, to escape the stanchioned garage exit—was to pay more money with no expectation of compensation. I dare say that's a luxury that would overextend many drivers.
