Price increase

Was a customer for half a year. Overall nice performance and very stable with a nice DDoS protection.

Unfortunately have to change host as OVHCloud randomly increased prices of all my VPSs over 50% more randomly with an excuse of RAM prices because of AI.

This is one seriously deluded company:

POV: You hire an #antifraud specialist for your business. They then ask your customers to send you images of their credit cards over the internet.

Would you be even slightly concerned about your decision to hire them?

OVHcloud aren't.

The irony isn't lost with them, when you employ an #antifraud team who ask people to put their personal data at risk.

This is one seriously deluded company:

This was the information they wanted from me (directly quoted from the email received):

A government-issued photo ID,
A picture of the credit card used in the transaction including, the name matching the listed name in the Manager account, AND
The last 4 digits of the card number,
A photo of yourself holding the government-issued Photo ID provided above.

This is the information they wanted from me.

They wanted an actual image of my credit card,

Did they not get the memo that this is 2026 &there are services that deal with verification. Even if I were stupid enough to send an image of my credit card, it's a virtual one - which they should realise that virtual cards now exist - because its 2026, not 1956.

What planet are these people living on? Because it's certainly not this one...

The response to this review is a lie. The information they wanted - stated above - is directly taken from the email I received. They wanted me to send an image of my credit card to them.

If you want to sue me for defamation though - go ahead. Sue me. I’ll wait.

Update

Still no defamation lawsuit. Guess I was telling the truth after all then….

j'ai loué un server pour un mois sans…

j'ai loué un server pour un mois sans engagement et au bout des un mois j'ai arrêté d'utiliser le serveur et a ma grande surprise je vois que j'ai été facture pour un renouvellement automatique. J'appelle pour avoir des explications le conseiller me fais comprendre que c'est automatique et que c'est a moi de le désactiver, c'est bizarre quand pour quelqu'un qui a été clair au départ je veux le server seulement pour mois sans engagement.

Absolutely terrible service and…

Absolutely terrible service and support. Unless you are highly technical and never need assistance, I strongly advise against using them. Their support team does not read the issue properly and responds with generic documentation, even when detailed explanations and screenshots are clearly provided.

This shows a complete lack of effort and accountability. I would never recommend this service to anyone. I have all the ticket numbers and can provide full proof or clarification if required.

Top quality servers, great customer service.

Our company has been a customer at OVHcloud for a decade now, and both the products and service have always been top notch. We run hosting for about 200 Wordpress sites, and their performance has never been this good.

We very recently hit a bump when cancelling one of our bare metal servers, where the commitment lapsed and renewed itself when it wasn't supposed to happen. The Claims department was understanding and cancelled our commitment renewal [CS15080302], and took less than a day to resolve this.

As I mentioned earlier, we've been using OVHcloud servers for over a decade now, and we will definitely continue doing business with them for the foreseeable future, as we are 100% satisfied with everything.

Took a long time to settle a simple…

Took a long time to settle a simple error of double billing. The original support Agent could have fix it in a breeze but he/she prefered to be rude.

This is not a good way to deal with a client.

lo cual nunca sucede. Luego te envían un correo diciendo que lamentan informarte que no pudo ser validado, cuando intentas contactar a soporte no hay forma. Solicité la cancelación y reembolso del dinero a lo cual dicen que se demora un mes. Pésima empresa para gestionar soporte y compras. Absolutamente no recomiendo esta empresa

Estou com problemas com o servidor desde quando eu contratei, eles não resolvem o problema, solicitei o reembolso e a empresa ficou de me reembolsar e não me reembolsou só falácias em fim paguei por um serviço inutilizável por esse lixo de empresa não recomendo nem pro meu pior inimigo.

They nuked my server and all its data because of a fake address

I spent a full day migrating my project from a free host to my first—and obviously now my last—VPS at OVH, hoping for something more stable and professional. The irony is so thick it’s suffocating.

Yes, I used a fake address for signup. I live in an active war zone. Addresses here are theoretical.

Here’s what “professional” looks like at OVH:

Silent termination. No email. No ticket. My service just went dark without a note. I spent hours trying to diagnose it—SSH failed, the client panel said “login incorrect,” password recovery sent nothing. Radio silence. My project was just gone.

I had to hunt down their Twitter account to learn I’d been permanently banned by "fraud prevention" team. No prior contact. No chance to explain, verify, or even back up my data. Their support’s response was a robotic: “Account closed. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.” You weren’t sorry. You were indifferent.

Punishment: total data annihilation. My crime? A fabricated address. Not spam, not abuse, not illegal content. A form field. Your response? To incinerate my VPS and every hour of work I’d put into it. Now I get to spend another day rebuilding from zero—because OVH values checkbox compliance over human context.

Update. Issue resolved. I got my data from the VPS, which is back online with all my data intact. While the initial suspension was quite stressful, it was rather justified. The support team showed flexibility and effort to resolve the situation properly. Their servers are fast, affordable, and the service has been solid.
Lesson learned: Provide accurate information from the start to reduce the chance of issues.

During an identity check, if the information entered in the OVHcloud Control Panel is non-compliant or incomplete, we ask our customers to update this information.
