Oval Renewables Bewertungen

I came across Oval Renewables via a series of YouTube videos. They came across as extremely knowledgeable and professional in the videos and I noted that they were located in the York area.

We moved to our new house 14 months ago and had been exploring options for renewable solutions. We were restricted by the local planning authority to only up to 5 solar panels on the Car Port (we are Grade 2 listed).

The sales team of Nick and Sam were excellent, providing excellent, well structured advice on the various options. We received an initial quote following a remote survey by Nick. Once we had amended the spec to suit, Sam came out to do a detailed survey. This exposed a couple of challenges that resulted in further design and spec changes. They were very happy to amend the design to meet the financial envelope that we had and were not in any way pushy. They also pointed out an earthing problem with another system which they fixed as part of the install. We ended up with 4 panels on the car port roof, an Alpha smile battery with integrated inverter and an upgraded electrical system pre-prepared to add an electric car charger in the next 12-24 months.

We were able to show a bit of flexibility in our ability to accommodate them when they had capacity to fit the system at short notice and they in turn offered us an element of flexibility in terms of scaling of the design which we hugely appreciated.

In terms of delivery, the team were polite, punctual and clearly highly skilled. There work was extremely neat and to the correct specifications etc. The on-site team had outstanding customer service skills and were a pleasure to have around the house throughout.

We are delighted with the system, the after care has been thorough and the whole experience has been really easy. The only caveat I would make is that they are so popular that it does take some time to work your way through their waiting list. I fully intend to use them for further upgrades and can provide an unconditional recommendation. They are simply outstanding.

I first encountered Oval Renewables in January 2022 after solar panels installed by another company developed a fault. The original installers showed no interest in helping me. In contrast, Sam from Oval was extremely helpful, being honest from the start about what may need to be done and making suggestions about the best way forward. The fault turned out to be very difficult to pin down and we ended up having to replace the whole array. From start to finish the team were very professional, there was no sales pressure and the men were pleasant, knowledgeable and tidy and always arrived on time.

During the following 2 years I engaged Oval to fit a storage battery, a replacement solar diverter, a car charger, extra solar panels and most recently an additional battery module, and without exception I have always been happy with their work. They are not the cheapest, but only install quality products and this is backed up with excellent advice and after sales service if needed. They have become the standard by which I judge the performance of other tradesman and companies.

It is easy to be impressed with a firm when they install something and everything goes to plan. The real test comes when there are problems. Much of this technology is fairly new and it is not surprising that I have needed help with technical problems on several occasions. None of these issues were caused by anything Oval had done, but they are always happy to help and do their best to fix things as quickly as possible. It is clear that they pride themselves in looking after their customers and their frustration if 3rd parties are slow to respond is obvious. They welcome suggestions and constructive criticism and are keen to improve their already excellent service.

I would not hesitate to recommend Oval Renewables to anyone interested in this type of technology.

From initial inquiry to installation the Oval team were very helpful, friendly and professional.
I would highly recommend Oval Renewables to anyone who is looking to install solar panels and batteries.

Definitely a company to recommend if you're looking for a top quality solar and battery setup that is installed with care and attention to detail. Helpful, polite, friendly and hardworking engineers all backed up with a supportive back office who are only a phone call or email away to answer any questions or queries you may have before, during and after the installation.
Examples of the extra care taken was engineers Bill and Michael who went and purchased some plastic sheeting to cover over my garage queen car so it would not get dust on it during installation. Plus Nick in the office who has happily answered or gone and found out the answers to my many sometimes quite technical questions about the inner workings of some of the equipment.

The best of the best - there is no one harder working or more honest than Sam and his team at Oval.

This company will be huge one day and is built entirely on a high standard of morales and dedication, you will not be disappointed you took my advice and use Oval, because if you use them once, you will only trust them and them alone to fix and improve your home, time and time again.

Thank you Oval! ⚡️

The explanation on how the system works etc they did well too.

From a customer point of view, Oval Renewables are an excellent company.

I’ve no hesitation to recommend Oval Renewables to anyone, keep up the good work

From start to finish the job exceeded my expectations. Sam, Dean and Ahmed were great to work with. We had some of the hottest weather on record and these guys still completed the project on time. Any snags were quickly resolved. Sam is very prompt at answering any questions. The project was a very tricky to install an east-west system on a flat roof on an outbuilding 30 meters from the main house. I was most impressed with Sam where he would state if he did not know the answer to a question. He would come back with the right answer (not the quickest or often wrong answer).

I decided to go with Oval Renewables after looking at some of their online content. And it was the right choice! Like many solar installers there was a wait but in my mind it was worth it. Their attention to detail was first class and they ensured we have a system that fits our current and future needs including a few last minute changes. Since the install the system has worked without any issues and we were surprised with what we can generate even on a dull day. Sam, Jess, Dean and Nick thanks!

Great pre-work online to understand our needs and design a system to suit (2 x inverters AC coupled battery to work with our Zappi EV charger).

Sam called in a few weeks prior to the install for final checks to make sure the installation went smoothly.

Equipment has been installed with attention to detail by workmen who take pride in their trade. Highly professional approach with some items other installers consider optional (scaffolding, bird protection) are all in as part of the job.

Good support and follow-up to any questions as we get to know the system, but even in the dark North Pennine winter, the solar panels are already making energy and the battery is charging up overnight to keep us in cheap electricity through the day.

Five star service from a five star company.
Attentive staff from day one. Installation very thorough and carefully thought out - no corners cut. Solar edge inverter and Myenergi Eddi work seamlessly with the Zappi EV charger.
Would certainly recommend.

Sam has helped me with Nest product installations and general electrical work, and more recently installed solar panels and battery system. The team is knowledgeable, takes pride in their work, and takes time to explain what they are doing and why. They are polite to neighbours (even giving one neighbour flowers when they had to park outside their house for a short period of time!) The work was completed on time and to a high quality. All the team are enthusiastic about renewable products and I'd happily recommend them.

Sam and Dean did a fantastic install of our system and we are really pleased with how well it is working and how tidy it looks. They were very careful when surveying and specifying the system so that it would properly use our roof space and meet our needs. Oval Renewables are a brilliant company to work with.

We waited some time for Sam and his team to visit for a site inspection. They have been quite busy but will not sub contract. Once inspection done, date set for install the following week. Sam and his team arrived on time and set to work. Our install was not difficult and the prep work had all been done. Clean and tidy workmanship and all work explained. The equipment is quality and fitted well. Only took two full days and we were up and running. The Solar Edge software is simple but impressive. Nice to see that Sam takes pride in his work, keeping the quality up rather than taking on more jobs than he can cope with. Also nice to see he recruits local electricians to give him a hand when short staffed giving them some experience of solar installations.

Sam and the whole team have been brilliant throughout the installation of first a charging point and subsequently a 4kWp solar system with 10kWh battery. During the site visit, Sam's knowledge of all the different options was very helpful. Communication throughout the whole process has been excellent and the work was completed to a high standard. We had an issue with the battery (not Oval's fault!) which was efficiently sorted without any fuss. Overall, we're very happy with both the system and the service and I've already recommended you to others!

Oval Renewables have recently installed a superb system for me - 5kw solar panels, 11kw battery and EV charger. They have been really good to work with all the way through the process. From specifying the system that I wanted, liaising with the DNO, scheduling the work and eventually doing the work Oval Renewables have been amazing. They were easy to contact on the phone and by email and the email responses were incredibly quick. Nothing was too much trouble. Sam and Dean were great to have around the house doing the installation. Good chat, good humour, knowledgeable and very professional.
Thank you Oval Renewables.

Following recent general concerns about global warming and price hikes in the cost of domestic energy my husband an I decided we would investigate installing a solar panels with battery back up on our house.
We researched solar energy on various Internet sites and YouTube for advice and help and then contacted individual installers.
Jessica of Oval Renewables provided us with a very comprehensive and detailed proposal of a system for our property using Solar Edge inverter and battery. We then asked Sam to survey the house to ensure that our roof was suitable and the location for the battery appropriate. Sam was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable answering all questions asked. I asked about the Tesla Wall system as an alternative battery as, at that time, it seemed the only system available that could provide electricity during a power cut. Jessica provided a further quote which included the Tesla system as an alternative to Solar Edge.
After consideration my husband and I decided that we would not go down the solar route as the cost outweighed any benefit for ourselves at our stage in life.
Throughout this process Oval Renewables were extremely professional and had we decided to have solar installed we would most certainly have used their company.

Sam and his team provided an excellent service both before and during installation. Communication was excellent even when they are busy. We are delighted by the quality and standard of the installation, and feel confident we will be able to contact them in future for any queries that may arise.

Sam and his crew installed a Sonnen battery at our property. The team were all really nice and worked hard to get it all installed in a day.

The installation was in a visible location in the property, so it was important for us that everything was done tidily, they put extra effort in to make sure wires and trunking were as hidden as possible.

We've had a couple of follow-up questions and Jessica has been helpful in trying to get these sorted for us. Overall we've been really pleased with the service and would definitely recommend them.

Had a MyEnergi Eddi installed to work alongside my existing Solar Panels and a recent Air Source Heat Pump installation.
The work by Sam and Dean was carried out to a very professional level, taking great care with the existing set-up.
I would definitely recommend using Oval Renewables for any electrical work and I will certainly use them again in the future.
