Absolutely disgusted with the new installation my neighbour had done yesterday.
The cable has been brought across my property and is cm from my washing line. This is restricting my use.
If the engineer had assessed the situation of positioning the fixing from the property to the post prior to fitting this matter could have been avoided. The engineers seem to put the customer before the the people’s property these cable affect. Trying to contact open reach is like getting blood out of a stone. Get the humans back at the end of a phone 😡😡😡😡🤬

If I could give zero stars I would. A telegraph pole was replaced, close to our property, without informing us and this resulted in us losing internet and telephone service. I found out by chance what had caused no WiFi when I saw a dangling cable from the pole right across our garden. Very safe!!!

There was no engineer about when we realised but shortly after one turned up next door and asked him about this. He said it would take an hour to put internet back. The engineer left the job without checking connection, what a great guy! This resulted in us trying to make contact with open reach through our network provider Sky to inform them of this issue.

This was 30 hours ago and we still have zero connection as you can’t speak to anyone at open reach. We have gone through Sky, our network provider who has tried to liaise with OR and they have said it’s going to be at least another 72 hours. All of this because a useless engineer hadn’t done his job properly. Not only are they incompetent but very dangerous.

Open reach actually start and do something about this as up to now, their response has been shocking and totally unprofessional.

My husband put a review on trust pilot yesterday and OR response (Catherine) was they will make sure this doesn’t happen again! I mean how does that help us??? Maybe OFCOM can help?!

Had a temp repair to fibre on2/1/24 and was told they’d be back to do full repair shortly. No further contact and now temp repair failed 3 days ago. They have been told only occupants are very elderly and both have heart conditions and recently released from hospital. We rely on the internet for alarm purposes but no action from OpenReach. Monopoly!!!

First of all, they cold-called me pretending to care about the broadband service; how they got my landline is unknown. An East Asia accent (perhaps Indian) will contact you (quite stereotypical) to get you to go onto speedtest.net for a speed test to win over your trust to make it seem professional to the general joe, however one should realise how unprofessional this is. Plus, openreach is not A SERVICE PROVIDER therefore would NOT contact you with such problem. Then in his poor accent, he will convince you to A FAKE openreach website, also unprofessional (they use a free Webnode site), to download malware-thankfully most modern web browsers block this automatically.
