Awful service
I needed a prescription for my medicine and they declined my request for no real reason. I was able to get it prescribed by my local GP but why have a service that prides itself on being an online pharmacy if you don’t want to be transparent with your customers and help them with their pharmaceutical needs.👎👎
Don't buy for the £5 online doctor help and support
So I am having problems with the NHS at the moment. I have been booked in to be sterilised. This was back in February this year. Still haven't seen anyone about this. So I thought I'll get a test to see if I am fertile so really no need to be sterilised if I'm not fertile. I saw that superdrug do this at a cost but we're the cheaper ones online. After spending £5 for some doctor to say which test I should have. The test they said as I looked online doesn't tell you if you are fertile or not. Just tells you how many eggs I have or not. I don't want to know that. So I message this doctor to say which test should I have as I'm not spending £70 odd pounds on something that isn't going to help me with. Never got an answer. This made me unhappy as thanks for just taking the £5 I just gave you for a useless answer back. She eventually came back to me to say there isn't a test for that. Yes there is as I googled it in the end and your GP can do it. I wished I just went with my GP in the end and save myself £5. These private doctors just take the P now picking on people. Never again will I go to superdrug online doctors.

Bad service from Superdrug pharmacy in Edgware
Last night I rang Superdrug pharmacy in Edgware (North London) to ask if a prescription for my daughter was ready for collection. While I was saying:”thank you for your help and goodbye” the person who talked to me did hung up. No reason at all to do this! I really cannot understand why she did hung up! It is not nice!

I've wasted an entire morning putting over 20 meds individually line by line to first tell them what's on the prescription I wanted to register THEN spent time having to enter line by line each of the items I want to order from said prescription (all of them) only to then be told they won't be able to prescribe most of the meds. I tried to ring to cancel only to be told that the phone line opens only between 1 and 4 pm, and your only option is a useless chatbot. I would only bother if you have one or two items.

Why is everything store collection only?
What is the point in having a website when 50% of the stock is 'in store collection' only and then 90% of the time products are never available. Maybe because the shop in my area is so small...but that's exactly why I choose to shop online!
I don't understand. It takes forever adding and then deleting stuff from your basket and trying to find alternatives because most things are only available to pick up in certains stores, but surely the whole point of having a website is so that people all over have the chance to purchase things not directly available to them. Otherwise they'd just shop in store and wouldn't need to pay for a delivery charge either. Maybe I'm just thick and completely missing something.......

AVOID superdrug online pharmacy
AVOID superdrug online pharmacy if you don't want to be waiting for two weeks while your meds run out and they blame everything on you for having a complicated prescription (i.e. controlled medication).
I'm chronically ill, neurodivergent, and live alone. You would think that an online service that delivers to your door would therefore be perfect and designed to suit my needs, right? Absolutely could not be further from the truth. They can't send controlled drugs via Royal Mail (fair enouugh) and the usual process is to contact your closest superdrug for them to process the prescription and arrange delivery. This usually works reasonable well. The last occasion was delayed, this time has been an absolute nightmare.
They received the prescription on the 1st August (according to my online GP records). Normally, you get an email within 48 hours saying they are processing your prescription. I didn't get this. Looked on the dashboard - no active prescription. Chased this up with them on the 5th August. They replied saying they were attempting to contact my local pharmacy to sort delivery. The prescription then magically appeared in the dashboard.
8th August, I hadn't heard anything and realised I'd run out of one of my meds. So I chased again, was told the pharmacy could not deliver before the 11th August and from my other local pharmacy, not the usual one. Ok, not great, but it is what it is.
Didn't get a phone call on the 11th to arrange delivery, so chased them again after 5pm to ask what was happening. Was told on the 12th " after calling the pharmacy they tried to call you yesterday, as no answer they did not deliver. Do you have a friend or relative that can pick up from Albion St on your behalf?"
No one tried to call me, checking my phone log I had no calls since the 9th August. This was a blatant lie. And no, I don't have friends or family to collect a prescription for me, if I did would I really be using an online service that takes two weeks to deliver?
After telling them this, I was told to call the pharmacy myself. This just shows how little they understand or care about chronically ill people. When you have chronic pain, chronic fatigue and struggle with phone calls due to being neurodivergent, a simple two minute task for you can literally make us feel worse.
I signed up for an online service. It really isn't my job to do your job, is it? Obviouisly there are problems behind the scenes, but rather than explaining the delays they'd rather lie and then make it my problem.
I'd just like my prescription please, is that too much to ask?

I ordered items from Superdrug totally £82. I then received an email from Hermes (Evri) which stated the items were on their way. Then a text to tell me they had been delivered and signed for. No one had called and no one signed anything! There was no copy of the signature. I raised this with Superdrug who then stated I would need to file a form which I did. I then received a further email to tell me they were acting on this. Needless to say 24 hours later nothing! I would advise anyone contemplating using Superdrug online to avoid and go elsewhere. Their aftersales is abysmal. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!

Wrong brand delivered, customer service don’t care
I ordered a specific generic brand medication, as I don’t do well with the original brand name. (I think I’m intolerant to one of the non active ingredients in the original brand version. makes me nauseous).
I received the wrong brand. They would not do anything about it.

Having used this service during lockdown, I ordered again from them recently. I needed medication that many pharmacies have been unable to get hold of due to a supplier issue. After trying highstreet pharmacies, I placed an order with Superdrug online pharmacy and spoke with an advisor via their online chat to make sure they had the medication in stock. They told me they did. I had less than one week of medication left, so they told me it would be processed and shipped as soon as possible. This was Tuesday.
Fast forward to Friday and there have been no updates. I contacted their online chat and was told it was being processed and would be shipped soon. On Saturday, there was still no update. Again spoke to an online advisor who said they raised it with the pharmacy, that the medication was in stock and I would hear back within 24 hours. Sunday, I had not heard back and had to chase again. This time I was told they were waiting on a shipment of my medication and it was due 'very soon'. They said it would still arrive within the 7 working day period and to go back to my GP it I needed emergency medication until then.
It is now Monday morning and I have now contacted the pharmacy directly. They were lovely and helpful, which is the only positive thing I can say about this experience. I was told they only have half of my prescription in stock and when I told them it was urgent and I had now run out, said they would send one month supply out today and that I would need to go back to my GP for an alternative due to stock issues.
Had Superdrug told me this in the first place, I would have tried other online pharmacies and failing that, gone back to my GP before I ran out. This medication is vital and I cannot go without it, so this entire experinece has left me stressed and upset.
I will not be using this service again and will close my account after I finally receive this prescription. If I had not called the pharmacy and given them the go ahead to only fulfil half of my prescription, I would not be getting my medication and the Superdrug team had done nothing to advise me of this, despite contacting them several times.
