Rude Staff No Flexibility at all

Rude customer service staff with no flexibility at all! I booked a London break for December and have had a very important hospital appointment come through so asked if I could change the day to any other day. No flexibility at all, 10 weeks in advance is poor!!

I am surprised to read that you found our team to be rude, this is very unusual and I would like to look into this for you.

As per our terms and conditions agreed to at the time of booking you do need to let us know before the 10 weeks until travel in order to receive a refund.

Great value

Great value. Basic but great hotel with amazing breakfast choices and very good quality. Staff were lovely. Tower was fabulous. The whole thing was a really good experience. Thank you!

Theatre and hotel stay

We booked a theatre and hotel stay through Travelzoo and it was excellent. All the information came through in good time and communication was excellent. I would definately book another trip through them.

Love the Good hotel London!0

It was a brilliant break. Only one problem. I didn't receive the email with entry tickets codes for the tower of London. However . This was rectified promptly. I called the contact number and it was resent immediately

What was written was what you got…

Everything was as described even the price! The hotel was fine breakfast left a lot of more pricey hotels way behind. Timings worked well

It took us 7.5 hours to get to London…

It took us 7.5 hours to get to London and home again from Sheffield. We didn’t get a stop in the first 5 hours. Travel was on country roads and not motorway with way too many pick ups for a v small number of passengers. The coach had to reverse out of roads totally unsuitable for a coach and we had no communication from the driver. The whole journey was very badly planned but was obviously done to just get as much money as possible to fill the coach

Brilliant experience & our driver was…

Elvis Evolution

In brief: Hotel changed at last minute, unable to reach hotel before event due to road closure as Triathlon taking place. Therefore unable to freshen up. Spent 8hours on the coach due to unnecessary pick ups, very often going back on ourselves. Arrived at EXCEL where informed the event was cancelled. Appreciate this is out of Omega's control. However, very poor communication. We decided not to travel home and at our own cost bought National Express tickets for the 2 and a half hour journey home.

I am aware that the London International closed their hotel to all reservations very last minute which impacted your trip and that the Elvis event team cancelled your show at the last minute - I can only apologise for the disruption you encountered.

Above and beyond booking experience!

I spoke with Carolyne who managed to assist with securing me on an eclipse tour in 2027. When the first was found to be sold out, Carolyne not only went above and beyond with finding me another tour, but was able to hold it for me due to myself being caught in holiday traffic during her work schedule. And with the increase of the price during the hold period, which I was assured would not affect me, my booking experience with Omega, has been perfect this time round compared to my previous trip.

Ruined by the coach driver, everything else was excellent.

The hotel was excellent, with helpful staff, great rooms, and really good food. The bar area was great, but should have been staffed with more bar staff. The only point we were not happy with was the coach driver. On the Saturday he succeeded in confusing everyone by announcing that instead of departing the Silverstone circuit at 6.30pm, if there were any unusual circumstances, he would delay departure until 7.30pm. Because this was not explained properly, a few passengers took this to mean we were not departing until 7.30pm, and when they returned to The coach at this time it caused an argument with other passengers who had been waiting for over an hour. Things got even worse the next day, when the coach driver, who should have waited in the coach park, decided to drive out at lunchtime to get a sandwich. He then fell fowl of the one way system, which he should have been well aware of, and was not allowed to return to the circuit. When passengers returned to The coach park at 6.30pm our coach was nowhere to be seen. Some of the passengers had to take it upon themselves to contact the traffic management supervisors to allow the coach to get back to the coach park, which it eventually did, 1 1/4 hours late, at 7.45pm. Some of the passengers were elderly, and were cold and distressed. The delay ruined what was otherwise a brilliant day, and it was galling to think that the passengers had had to facilitate the return of the coach when the coach driver should have done much more. The driver made a half hearted apology, during which he heaped the blame on traffic management instead of himself - this met with a stony silence from the passengers. Many of them had booked evening meals and further travel arrangements, which were severley affected.
Sadly, this is not the first Omega/Just Go holiday we have been on which has been marred by the driver making their own arrangements.

There are always two sides to these types of things and while I would not take away the annoyance and frustration you experienced - for which I really do apologise - the driver in question did check with the Silverstone staff before he left the site to make absolute sure he could return to the car park - he was aware of the traffic management system - but when he tried to get back in, he was denied access. He was mortified and I would assume embarrassed, but I totally appreciate that did not help your situation. All I can do is apologise that this marred your experience.

I am pleased to read that you had an otherwise enjoyable time at this fabulous event.
