Not even arrived yet after 2 weeks. Reading these reviews, I wish I hadn't ordered. I noted these are all recent so I guess recently put up site. Readers, do not touch with a barge pole!! Meanwhile, can I stop order?

Fooled into believing they were a genuine company.
Initially didn’t proved tracking, said I needed to re submit address details. One month later Linen shirts arrived but were 35%cotton, 65%polyester. E mails from Loek (seemed AI ) initially refused return, said could keep them, then like other have mentioned offered 20%,30% and 40% Then added cannot be refund as “in the sale”.. Said he was a scammer and taking people for fools ( seems he brags about this on TickTock) Sale or not Linen as advertised was not received. . Contacted Mastercard and they gave me a charge back refund. But still find Old Monarchy can challenge this this.

Dutch trading standards and police need to prosecute this ‘company’. Buyers beware.

It's a shame I can't give a 0 star rating for this company as this is what it deserves. Ordered 2 linen shirts that took an age to arrive & when they did they were a mix of polyester and whatever.
Easy returns as stated, it really isn't, so don't waste your time and money with old monarchy, be warned.

If I could give zero stars I would. Same issues as others have raised; website and customer service looked legitimate. Item took weeks to arrive, poorly packaged, the wrong size and damaged.

Refund being refused, stating I have to return the item at my expense to China despite (on the face of it) being an EU company, no acknowledgement of the many issues.

Planning to chargeback to my card as it’s going nowhere fast.

So I googled orthopedic loafers as I am a teacher and thought after years of wearing the same shoes I'd treat myself to a new pair. Old Monarchy came up on the search and the website looked lovely. I placed the order and the shoes took longer than expected to arrive. When they finally did, the packaging was a flimsy parcel bag; not the nice shoebox I was expecting. I tried the shoes on and they were too big, including width. The material was also very cheap. I went on their website to see how to return them and emailed them. I was polite and explained about the size. They asked for a photo before proceeding with the return. I sent it. After that we were locked in negotiations about how much of a refund I'd receive. Despite me explaining that I had only tried on one she they would not refund me anymore than 40% and claimed I agreed to their policy of sales items being non refundable. This is an outright lie. I even went back on their website and put the same shoes in my basket a went through checkout up until a payment was needed- there was not mention of sale items. Very disappointed in this shop. They're clearly dodgy.

This is a fraudulent shop. They advertise their men’s shirts as linen but when they turn up from China, they are viscose, of little value and horrible quality.

Wish I'd looked at reviews before buying from them. Website looks very professional, but they're just dropshipping from China. Shirt was sized closer to a medium than the claimed XL. It has cheap white buttons instead of the black buttons on the images. It was sold as linen, but its label shows it's made of 35% cotton, 65% polyester!

This is a one man dropshipping scam masquerading as a legitimate internet retailer. There are no exchanges, or refunds. The goods being supplied are extremely shoddy and ill fitting, with a jacket I ordered being delivered torn. When you complain you will experience a polite reply from Loek Vergouwe but I suspect all replies are generated by an AI bot, as there is no attempt to address any issues you have. The images on the website are copied from other legitimate websites. As other reviewers have suggested, seek a chargeback from Visa or Mastercard as this will probablly be the best way to get this site shut down. You could also complain to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets.

Absolutely appalling Customer Service. Didn't even listen to the comments in the email. I wanted a full refund instead offered only 30%.
The sizing of the clothing was totally wrong.

Don't use this company stay warned
It's just run by one man who calls himself loek, he orders items from temu, everything is sent from China which are nothing like the clothes you see advertised on his artificial website.

Bought shoes that didn’t fit and tried to return them. Their policy promises “easy returns,” but there was nothing easy... They illegally refused a full refund and gave no instructions on how to return the product. The shoes arrived in a plastic bag with no box, the quality was poor, and delivery took almost two weeks despite their “few days” promise. They claimed the sale price prevented a refund — not mentioned anywhere in their policy. If “easy returns” means endless frustration and getting low-quality shoes in a bag, then sure, they deliver… but otherwise, beware.

1 star is far more that they deserve

Looks like a really good quality EU site ordered a linen shirt, only to get some absolute synthetic junk that was shipped from china

Blatant Chinese scam. Clothes are unwearable and do not match product description and refuse to offer a refund. AI chat bot and phone number is fake. Do not buy!

I ordered a linen shirt ..
I’m really upset with my self for even giving this website a go . Shirt arrived it wasn’t wearable! the fabric wasn’t even cotton! Most certainly not linen it was the nastiest indescribable fabric . I can’t even get my money back

Well on the face of the webpage it looks like a well established company with high end items. Purchased 2 shirts £30+ each for husband for anniversary 2 weeks ago to then look when they were arriving and they are posted from china. There was no delivery information provided on website and I still haven’t received the items which are pointless considering my anniversary was 2 weeks ago.

A real scam. Items arrive weeks late. Bad shoddy quality. Terrible fit. Not as advertised. Refunds refused. Avoid at all costs and report!

Tops flimsy & ill fitting can't wear them, not even around the house and i went up a size!. 4 emails sent over 6 days, they finally replied today: keep with 20% discount or pay full shipping costs to return and by the way we're in Asia! I'm absolutely disgusted and want a full refund.

They sent a very poor quality garment that is at least two sizes too small. They won't refund, but keep offering me discounts for something that is too small. I've refused these offers and now they won't answer my emails.
DO NOT BUY FROM these people!!!
