Quick and excellent service from euan at octane. Got my issue resolved once and for all. Thank you so much for your help

Been this morning for a stage 1 remap on my X-trail, I phoned on Saturday to ask about doing this and felt confident it was a good move. Delighted with the instant results, car is much more enjoyable to drive, smoother with better power and much more responsive. After a 5 mile test drive my mpg had already gone up by 5 mpg which Euan says will improve and it has on the way home. Ideal person to speak to if you are thinking about doing this and it does what it says on the tin, many thanks for a great service.

Review for octane

Booked a service, dpf delete tune and mentioned about existing problems with the car on the phone. Was reassured it would all be looked at and taken care of.

On arrival the mechanic was under the impression that I was getting a stage one remap which is not what we discussed on the phone, with my little knowledge I assumed that’s what the dpf tune was; so just went for along with it.

Went to pick the car up and majority of the problems I had mentioned hadn’t been solved - infact the guy that did the service on the car hadn’t even been informed about the problems I had mentioned! Sidelight, break pad wear sensor, corroded suspension arm, exhaust fixture problem..

Also the service light and check engine light still blinking post service.. All these things were mentioned either on the phone or in person at the first visit.

Lack of communication between owner and the mechanics is what went wrong here.

Euan & Team at OCTANE Tuning, have been absolutely 1st Class from, initial diagnostic to dealing with Issue that I have been back and Forth to main dealer and still fault persisted left me with no confidence in Main Dealer, Euan and Team diagnosed fault picked up car from Work dropped it back off and fixed also minor fault as they were underneath anyway and to them an easy fix (not charged) Truly Genuine Guys that do what they say and always willing to give advice.... Give them a call my car is now running 100%.

I took my van here to get remapped after having some long terms issues i'd been unable to resolve. Was very impressed with the service, knowledge and ease of communication which made me wish I had taken it there as soon as I started having issues. All seems to be working fine now!

Got my nissan nv400 problems sorted add blue delete agr, stage 1 , talked through procedure etc no more driving Miss Daisy.

Both individuals were welcoming and were comfortable talking to me throughout the process. I had my Audi S3 booked in for a stage 1 engine remap and gearbox remap also. Car went from 296bhp to 346bhp and torque from 380 to around 490nm. Car feels alive now and a whole lotra fun. Will definitely use Octane tuning in the future. Guys you can trust and process was very professional.

Their expert knowledge solved a problem that had had my local garage stumped, and went above and beyond to get me back on the road the same day. Wonderful customer service and the car is driving like new. Highly recommended.

2020 Ducato Rollerteam Toleno S remap -
This 3 tonne plus van felt underpowered with stock 120hp/320lbft engine. Took it to Octane for a remap to 150hp and 410lbft. Appointment on time and took only 2 hours, with friendly service which answered all my questions. Did a '30-50mph in 4th gear' test on the way to the tuners - 10.5 seconds. On the way back it was 7.8 seconds! Van drives much better and it looks like mpg has improved from 32mpg before tuning to 37mpg after though it is early days. Fantastic value and great service.

Does exactly what it says on the tin ewan took my r/s megane in popping and banging did his stuff now it has nice sooks and whistles gets up and over it’s momentum faster than quick I will use him again highly recommend him very reasonable price thank you very much. Tom

Bought a Vauxhall Insignia 2 months ago. Seemed a little underpowered and a lot of revs to go from first to second. Checked a few companies who do a remap and spoke to Ewan at Octane Tuning at Haddington. Dropped car off 2 days later. After approx 2 hrs drove a different car home. Extra lowdown torque cured the gap between first and second. Extra power was a bonus it's not far off the performance of my Z4. Very Very pleased. If your looking for a remap give them a ring you will not be dissapointed.

Just had my Mini Cooper S Clubman remapped. Mid range is now amazing, acceleration incredible and drive ability hugely improved. Great job

Great service went to get dpf clean but that didn't work as was clogged told to bring it back in and had done a much thorough job with it now it feels like a completely different car well chuffed

I own a Fiat 500 Abarth which I know can be mapped but was unsure who to trust to do it. Euan came recommended by a friend and presented me with my options, explaining very well what each entailed. I opted for a stage 1 map which is just brilliant. I didn’t think it would make THAT much difference but it’s really opened it up, just pulls and pulls. Definitely smoother too. Euan was a terrific guy to deal with and overall it was a really great experience, can’t recommend him highly enough.

This is the second car I have had remapped by Euan and I have to say once again the results are brilliant. The car now actually responds as it should when I press the accelerator and it pulls through every gear even in 6th. The engine now seems to run a lot quieter and the acceleration is unbelievable compared to the standard 136bhp. Highly recommend to anyone, get your car remapped you won't believe the difference. Used Euan's services for a stage 1 remap on a bmw 435d. Can't fault the remap with noticeable gains on acceleration through the gear with any turbo lag gone.

Highly recommend!
