Up until last June i paid all my payments on time, but. I had to ask for a reduced payment of £20. ,still paying £50 ,per month ,which they agreed to ,went bk to full payment last December, which put me in arrears of £190 ,now they are threatening to send a default because I haven't made arrangements to repay the arrears although I am still making my full monthly payment, can't wait to get rid off them ,absolutely avoid this company, no compassion to anyone's circumstances all their interested in getting there money back .

They did not respond within the fourteen days. They then said I had to pay the full amount of the end of term agreement price rather than the amount they transferred. They even refused to cancel the agreement within the fourteen days when I contacted them.

Please do not use this company regardless of how desperate you are I took out a loan for £5000 over three years received an annual statement claiming my closing balance was £74.75 the same day I saw a pending transaction for £160.75 no one could explain why said interest £90 I dont think so particularly as they had made 37 payments. I stopped the transaction with my bank logged a complaint they confirmed I only owed the original closing balance but still could not explain what had happened I told them to apply for the amount no response so today went online to pay and to my amazement they have charged me a late payment fee This company attacks vunerable people
Extremely disappointed with Oakbrook Loans – unfair default despite full repayment
I am extremely disappointed with how Oakbrook Loans have handled my account. After experiencing temporary financial difficulty, I kept in full communication with them and entered into a payment plan that reflected my circumstances.
Unfortunately, one small payment failed due to a bank card issue, but I immediately contacted them and took a family loan to clear the full balance within one month. Despite my cooperation and early repayment, Oakbrook still went ahead and registered a default on my credit file.
This has caused serious and lasting damage to my credit rating, even though the debt was fully settled almost immediately. I genuinely feel this is unfair, disproportionate, and lacks compassion, especially for someone who was proactive and transparent throughout.
I’ve since raised a complaint and will be escalating to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Oakbrook Loans talk about supporting customers in financial difficulty, but in my experience, they did the opposite.
I would give zero stars if possible
I unfortunately had a life changing episode that resulted in going in to arrears to all my creditors. I contacted each one, offered repayment and all accepted except Oakbrook/Finio Loans. I have been incessantly harassed and asked to repeat on numerous occasions the painful incident that occurred. The most recent interaction I spoke with a customer service representative and he told me that they would review in 2 months. Then 10 minutes later another customer representative called and asked me the same questions and asked why I didn’t pay. I explained I had set up a direct debit and been paying monthly consistently for some time. She went silent on the phone and repeated the same questions over and over again. I received an email in August 2025 saying they would review in 6 months and then over the last 7 days the calls/texts/emails have started again. Is this not harassment? I believe this is

This is simply a cow boy outfit. They have no concept of GDPR, or identification and verification. They will call you and text you off random mobile numbers asking for your date of birthday and mother’s maiden name and do nothing to provide who they are. They also clearly prey on people with poor credit so they can lend with sky high interest rates.
Avoid, I can't even pay my loan.
I am unable to pay my loan early, or make payments at all as their online system hasn't updated with the loan. Their customer service is copy and paste responses, they don't touch any complaints and they're woefully inexperienced in dealing with customers clearly. I would steer clear of them and their other associated companies. When I put my complaint in I received 2 emails, one stating it had been received and escalated and the next saying it was closed with no resolution due to my inaction. What a joke.
Avoid This Company – Total Scam!
Stay far away from this company! They approve your loan, make you wait, and give you false hope. After endless waiting, they suddenly email you claiming there was a "system error" and they can't provide the loan. Meanwhile, they've already done a hard credit check, which hits your credit score. The whole process is misleading, and it ends up damaging your credit. Save yourself the hassle and avoid them!

Terrible. Recorded missed payments on my credit filer when I WAS paying every single month via DMP. Complete liars, who destroy your credit for NO REASON. Horrible company. AVOID.

Loan approved and money still not received 5 days later. Customer service is shocking. Emails not answered, live chat has no one available and phone operators are rude and cannot answer queries like 'when will I receive my funds?'!

I am actually so disappointed with this company. They offered me a decent deal to consolidate my credit into one affordable payment through them in a "triple lock guarantee on both clear score and Experian so I thought I have this no issue. 4 whole days later of calling and emailing they told me no as they said my income was different from what I initially claimed. I have no idea where this came from as I provided both a payslip, contract with work and bank statements so the fact they can say something totally incorrect and decline me is aggravating. Since this has run a hard search on my credit my credit score has significantly dropped from good status to poor status and I'm remortgaging my house in a few months so to say I'm livid is an understatement. STOP OFFERING GURANTEED LOAN OFFERS IF ITS NOT GURANTEED. THATS ALL I ASK
