We had an allegation and thankfully we had joined the Union a year before
Robin was brilliant and kept us on track through this awful procedure.
Nothing was too much. The advice given was very helpful we wouldn't have coped without Robin in our corner.
My advice is to join the Union as, like us, an allegation can come out of the blue and suddenly all the support is suddenly gone from LA and Agency.

All foster carers need Robin, Sandra and the rest of the NUPFC in their corner on their side, they know so much and it is shown in the volumes that they support. When we had an allegation made the support that Robin and Sandra gave me and my family was invaluable, they managed to move things along, get answers id been asking for weeks and got to the bottom of things, they genuinely were in my side. I will be forever thankful and shout from the roof tops about them. I have also had to reach out to them recently for a different scenario they gave me honest advice and supported me and my partner. All foster carers should be part of this union.

I am one of the 3 main witnesses in the current high-profile Employment Tribunal court case.
I came across ROBIN @ NUPFC in 2021.
Since then Robin and his team have always been by my side helping me and advising me.

Recently, in a separate court case, the NUPFC came up trumps! Robin helped me to secure a large payment settlement.
Without UNION help - I would not have received any settlement.
I strongly recommend all Foster Carers to join the
NUPFC.

When I was having persistent issues with a local authority funded agency, Robin at the NUPFC supported me to find an IFA.

Robin also advised on potential next steps relating to the decision making of the original agency.

Even though my complex case is still ongoing, this is the first time in my entire fostering journey that I have ever felt truly supported by anybody. I had to use the union when children had been placed with me, and on day 10, I still had no placement plan and no visit from the CSW. By 9:30pm that night, I had a placement plan and the CSW coming to visit the next day

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Robin and his guidance in a recent matter. My foster children were refused permission to go to my daughter's wedding, despite having the full backing of their schools and written permissions given. Today after they realised the union was now involved that decision was reversed. The children can now go. The upset and emotional stress the children have been put through these last few days has been awful. Putting that aside, I am pleased that the LA have relooked at the situation and allowed the children to attend. If anyone feels that they are alone out there as fostering can at times feel such a lonely role, especially as a single carer. You aren't. Join the NUPFC. peace of mind this will bring to you is worth every penny. Thanks again to Robin and the NUPFC.

Well I couldn't have got through a SOC/ the LA not returning the children who had been in my care for 4+ years without the Union (and inparticular Chris). The children were returned after nearly 5 weeks. The support and daily phone calls and updates were amazing. Gave me the strength to keep fighting. Robin has been very supportive of me when I went through issue with an agency I worked for. It went to arbitration and was resolved and then I moved to a new agency, who have been brilliant to work for. Robin was always there when needed.
