Horrible experience
I went into Novo at Harbourtown this afternoon to find some heels for my birthday. I walked in to no greeting, I had to ask one of the sales assistants (young blonde)for assistance in finding the sizes in 4 styles I was interested in. After trying on all 4 styles I needed other sizes in two styles I really liked, after struggling to find some that I liked. She said she would go check. She then proceeded to serve 3 customers at the counter while her manager (older woman with glasses) went outside and brought in her dog and showed the other sales assistant. Without any acknowledgment whilst I was waiting for my shoe sizes. The girl then finally came back asking how I went, which I responded I was still waiting for the sizes I had asked for. She responded “sorry we don’t have them”. Without offering me any other styles or service. I left frustrated and felt ignored. Do better Novo. This isn’t the first bad experience I’ve had in your store.

Sent the wrong items and they're refusing to refund me
Ordered online and was sent the wrong item. Then got told I had to send them back AT MY COST in order to get a refund or get the correct pair sent to me. When I pointed out this was in breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act they then back tracked and said they would give me a return label but still said they wouldn't refund me for the items I didn't get unless I sent the wrong items back. At the end of the day, you're a business and it's your responsibility to ship customers what they actually ordered so if you stuff that up it's on you to fix it - should not be the customer's responsibility. Absolutely disgusted and will never ship at Novo again.

Blisters and bleeding
Bought shoes from Novo (Harbour Town). I wore them, and within 5 minutes they started causing severe pain, which turned into a blister and bleeding. I returned the next day to show this, but the manager at Harbour Town was rude and dismissive, saying, “You wore it, so I can’t do anything.” No concern for customer comfort or safety — very disappointing.
Misleading Information and Refusal to Honour Sale Terms
Purchased three pairs of shoes during their “Nothing Over $40” sale and requested an exchange for a different size. My exchange was manually blocked by staff, who repeatedly claimed the shoes were “out of stock.” Despite raising that the same sizes were still showing as available on their website, Novo continued to insist they were unavailable.
To avoid missing out, I repurchased all three pairs at a much higher price — and today, all three pairs arrived in the exact sizes Novo claimed were out of stock.
Novo is now refusing to refund my original order and still maintains the items were unavailable, despite the fact that I am literally holding each pair in the requested sizes in my hands.
It appears that Yashyavi intentionally disrupted my exchange and misrepresented stock availability as they did not want me to have the shoes for the sale price I purchased them at.
Misleading stock information, refusal to honour sale terms, and shockingly poor customer service. Unbelievable.

I purchased shoes a few days ago and today I receive notification that they don't have any in stock (yet the size I purchased is still showing that it is available on the website). I now have to wait 3 days for a refund of funds. Incompetence personified.
Scam!
I ordered two pairs of mules for sale at $25 each. They were on sale. Before ordering, I read the return policy, but unfortunately, I did not read far enough down because I saw that they take returns. At the bottom of the policy, it says they do not take returns on sale items.
These shoes are total crap. The material is so flimsy, and they feel like foam on the bottom. This company is a racket. Let's put everything on sale and then not give refunds for them. There is no way these shoes are even worth $25 let alone twice that much which is what the original price is.
It took 6 days to get an answer from the company, The finally responded when I said I would dispute the claim with my cc company. Now, I am out $50 and left with two pairs of crappy shoes.

Novo staff sent through the wrong bag colour and it was a herculean task to return it as the customer service person Yashyavi deliberately delayed the process. This was not the main issue, I have been trying to exchange a bigger size for a smaller one and Yashyavi is making this very difficult as he/she is not responding to emails on time and I actually think it is deliberate to make the shoe remain in my custody for more than 30 days which would make me unable to return them. Yashyavi, I am on to those gimmicks. Do better.

I’m really disappointed with my recent experience with Novo Shoes. I purchased two pairs of shoes online for click and collect in-store. When I went to pick up my order, I saw that they had a "40% off second item" promotion running in-store — and had been for weeks.
I checked their website, which clearly states:
"40% Off Second Item – Discount applied at checkout. Online & In-store."
But when I contacted customer service about not receiving the discount online, I was told the online store doesn't offer the same promotions as in-store. This was frustrating, especially since their terms and conditions don’t mention any difference between online and in-store offers.
I raised this issue several times and kept getting the same copy-paste response — that online and in-store run separate promotions. If that's the case, it should be clearly stated in their T&Cs. Other retailers usually note when an offer is “online only” or “in-store only” — Novo does not.
It feels like Novo doesn't care once they’ve taken your money. I was left with no resolution, despite their customer service saying they are “happy to help.” This experience has really put me off shopping with them again.

Their online return policy is absolutely appalling. I ordered shoes online and received them just yesterday — within one hour of trying them on, I contacted them to request a refund or exchange due to sizing issues. I’ve bought from them before, and sizing has always been inconsistent — sometimes size 5 fits, sometimes size 6. Based on that, I ordered size 6, but it turned out to be the wrong fit again.
When I asked to return the item, I was told I couldn’t do it in-store and would need to post it back at my own cost — which ended up being more expensive than the shoes themselves! That’s absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.
When I reached out to their customer service team, they casually dismissed me by saying they’re an Australian business and only follow Australian Consumer Law. If that’s the case, why are they operating in New Zealand and using a .co.nz website? Why are they accepting NZ orders if they’re unwilling to follow New Zealand consumer rights?
It’s beyond frustrating. I feel completely ripped off and misled. This company has no ethical backbone, and their customer treatment is shameful.
To anyone considering buying from them: please don’t. Their business practices are deceptive, and they take zero accountability once they have your money.

Not dispatching parcel .....
They advertise on Debenhams market place, ordered shoes 6 days ago, paid for express 2 day delivery at an extra cost. Still waiting to be despatched. They send a 'it's on it's way' email, with tracking number to appease the customer BUT they don't actually dispatch the parcel. Terrible service.

Really bad store
Before New Year, I bought 3 products from the store. I wore two of them only once and both hurt my feet so bad that I still have wounds. One of them, I wore for the New Year party and I couldn’t wear it til the end - I had to take them off. I went back to the store and the managers said that they couldn’t do anything because I didn’t have the boxes and that there was nothing wrong with the products. They are really bad in problem solving, customer service and relations. I felt my money was stolen from me. Their products are of low quality, just as their services.

Can o give ZERO starts? Worse customer service ever. Illegal return policy. Low quality shoes. Stay away from this shop , as far as you can. They will do everything to refuse refund, return (they ask for the box!!). They claim shoes do hurt your feet, is not a low quality issue, even when there are sharp plastic edges inside the shoe that cut through the skin! A good case for Fair Trade to review.

They sent the wrong size shoes. I am expected to pay for postage to get them exchanged myself, even though the problem is their fault. I am appalled. Never using this company ever again.
