Northumberland Luxury Stays 

Very poor experience with Northumberland Stays – would not recommend.

We booked a property through booking.com, managed by this provider and arrived to find it in an unacceptable condition. The accommodation appeared to have not been cleaned: beds were unmade and we had to make them ourselves using what appeared to be stained bedding, and dirty laundry had been left, including in the bathroom which made the bath unusable.

The hot tub, which was a key feature of the booking, was appeared to be green and smelt, therefore not usable. The host indicated it had not been used for some time which raised questions about when maintenance was last completed. There was also an old, scruffy hot tub lid left in the garden. The outdoor furniture did not match the photos advertised and appeared to be uncomfortable. It was also not made clear that the neighbouring property has access to the garden.

When we raised these issues, we were told to go to Morrisons to purchase our own bedding, which is completely unacceptable for paid accommodation. The questionable bedding was then delivered. Following this, communication was extremely poor. The host was initially unhelpful and then became entirely unresponsive, ignoring multiple reasonable requests for a refund made on the first night of our stay.

Due to the condition of the property, we were only able to stay approximately 18 hours before leaving early. We had booked two nights and politely requested a refund for second night before we left. This led to sporadic contact from Northumberland Stays and a WhatsApp from someone claiming to be associated with the property.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The property was not as described, not fit for purpose, and the lack of accountability or communication from Northumberland Stays only made matters worse.

Luxury accomodation in peaceful setting near the coast . Houses are exceptional with everything you need , spotless , warm , decor beautiful great outdoor area and large hot tubs

Stayed in copper cottage
Lovely cottage in the centre of Morpeth 2 minute walk to all shops, restaurants and bars. Nice hot tub in garden however not able to use due to terrible weather rain, rain and more rain! Could do with cover over to protect from the elements. Quality of bedding and towels could do with upgrading but apart from that loved it, lovely cottage decor to high standards throughout. Would recommend it for break.

We stayed mid week.
We thiught we'd try a mid week break and it was absolutely worth it. The name certainly shows in the full site.
We stayed in a recently completed property called the Gavel. Stunning to say the least.

Will definitely be staying again!

Excellent very clean and tidy house with great facilities. Very relaxing and quiet. I could not recommend highly enough.

We stayed here for new year. We were blown away with how beautiful the property was, very spacious and perfect for a family of 6 adults, 2 children and a dog. Close to a local pub which was handy and the beach which was 5 minutes driving distance. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will be back.

Absolutely stunning properties, just returned from a weekend stay with the family. We all loved it, decorated to a high standard, stunning interiors, immaculate , comfortable and luxurious. Hot tub was lovely, especially at night with the pretty lights.
Tom welcomed us and left us some perishables in the fridge to get us started. Would recommend to anyone to stay at this beautiful place, just booked for New Year and can't wait, thankyou 😊

We stayed in this amazing place for 3 nights, what a place, luxury from the minute we drove up and walked through the gates, then once we opened the door WOW, the hot tub was with twinkle lights was so romantic, we ventured out through the days there was so many places to explore. We have already booked again for the spring, so excited to return.
