Wonderful clinic and staff

I am very impressed and I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic. The result exceeded my expectations, everything was taken care of, the surgeon is a true professional, and the clinic staff is wonderful.

Nuo pat pirmo kontakto iki pooperacinės priežiūros visas personalas buvo itin rūpestingas, dėmesingas ir supratingas. Kiekvienas žingsnis buvo aiškiai paaiškintas, o bendravimas – šiltas ir pagarbus, kas leido jaustis ramiai viso proceso metu.

Didelis ačiū klinikai, kurioje buvo operuotas mano sūnus. Operacija praėjo puikiai. Nuo administratorių iki gydytojų – visi labai profesionalūs, dėmesingi ir rūpestingi. Jautėme didelį palaikymą ir ramybę viso proceso metu. Nuoširdžiai rekomenduoju šią kliniką!!!

I had upper and lower eyelid surgery at Nordclinic in Kaunas.

My journey from emailing Julija (customer service) to being discharged has been seamless.

Since early February 2025, I developed symptoms that led to an ultrasound that diagnosed me with gallbladder disease. I’m from an area in England where the waiting times for the NHS can be over a year long, and private surgery is too expensive.

Desperate, I was researching anywhere outside of the UK that could do gallbladder surgery. There were plenty in Europe that could do it for cheaper, until I saw Nordclinic. What sets Nordclinic apart from the other clinics is that they offer S2 funding. This is very helpful, as the NHS provides partial funding for treatment abroad.

I enquired about gallbladder surgery at the end of October 2025, then submitted my S2 application, which was approved in mid-November (very quickly). By around November 19th, I paid the deposit for the surgery. I chose to pay the remainder of the surgery cost upfront. Julija provided me with hotel information, and that they have apartments; however, these were not available during my stay in Kaunas. I bought a flight & hotel package from Expedia. When my plane landed at Kaunas airport, I was greeted by a friendly Nordclinic employee at arrivals who drove me to my hotel and assisted me with my luggage.

The next day, they picked me up to take me for pre-op tests. They message you on WhatsApp letting you know what time they are coming and ask you to confirm their message. Then took me back to the hotel afterwards. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the staff at the front desk are lovely.

Nordclinic picked me up again for my surgery on January 30th. Usually, they pick up other patients along the way. It was nice to meet other people! The ward room I got was nice. The nurses gave me a gown and slippers to change into, then I was given a numbing injection a few hours before my operation. I met the lead anaesthetist, who was very kind and polite. I was not nervous about my operation; however, when it was time for the surgery, I was led to the operating room. I did not know that I would see the room at all. It was a little overwhelming to see the operating team prepare and lie on the bed per their instructions. I was immediately given general anaesthetic via cannula and was sedated within 5 seconds.

I woke up while being transferred to my ward room on the wheelie bed. When I fully recovered from the sedative, I was told that the surgery went smoothly and there were no issues. That is a relief. I told the nurse I was cold, and she gave me a warm, grey blanket. I was quite sore after surgery, so changing positions was difficult, but I utilised the electric bed to keep me upright. In the evening I had soup. Throughout the night, I watched TV and slept on and off. In the morning, I was given more pain medication in the cannula and had plain yoghurt. I was discharged at 10am and told what I should be doing post-op in recovery. Four days later, I was picked up for post-op checks, where I had an ultrasound to check my abdominal area to scan for any issues – thankfully, there were none and I got the all clear to travel home. I experienced some side effects while my body adjusted to having no gallbladder.

Since being at home, I have been resting, I’ve been tired, but getting enough sleep. I’ve been having a restricted diet as I had pre-op, but also having slightly fattier food so my body can adjust gradually. So far, I am doing well. My incisions are healing well, and most of the scabs have gone. By March 1st, I will be able to return to having baths and going swimming. I’m grateful for Nordclinic offering this surgery. I have undergone an abdominoplasty and am very satisfied with my experience at NordClinic. From the first to the last minute, I felt safe and professionally cared for – the administrators, nurses, and doctors are extremely attentive and caring.

My greatest thanks go to Dr. Tautvydas Urbonas – a top-level professional in his field. Precise, focused on results, and at the same time very human and with great energy. My trust in him was absolute.

The anesthesiologist took all my needs and fears into account, and complete comfort was ensured during anesthesia: there was no nausea, although previously after/during surgeries (3 Caesarean sections) I would always experience it. Tremors were maximally controlled, and the pre- and post- operation process itself went so smoothly that I barely remember much of it – which, in my opinion, is a very important indicator of comfort.

The nurses are incredibly helpful, sincere, and compassionate, always there when needed. The food is tasty and more than sufficient.

The incision was done very neatly and precisely, sufficient medication was provided for a comfortable recovery period, and a compression garment was also supplied.

I sincerely recommend NordClinic – all my expectations were exceeded.

The clinic has outstanding, highly professional specialists. I would not trust my surgery to any other clinic.

I am extremely satisfied with my ear surgery performed by Dr. Gytis Baranauskas. He is highly professional, communicates clearly, and takes the time to explain all available options. From the initial email to meeting the van driver at the airport ( which collected us and dropped us off daily from hotel to clinic). The process was like a well oiled machine. The staff were brillant, polite and spoke better English than my Lithuania. From the surgeon to all the medical staff they where 100 percent. Surgery and after care was second to none. All hospitals take a leaf out of there books. Efficiency, clean, helpful and down to earth can not fault them. Did I say also they dropped us back to the airport. What a service. Even got meds to travel back home with.

I had a breast reduction and lift surgery at Nord Clinic, and I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their professionalism, care and attention. From the first consultation to post-operative care, I felt safe, listened to and well supported throughout the whole process.
