Niva bupa is a fraud insurance they said at the time of given policy to me that's all cover in pregnancy with 9 month waiting period .Now I want to use policy for my wife pregnancy delivery they said they give only rs 12500/- only.i am very disappointed and feeled very very cheated by by the insurance company and their fraud agent who do,nt give exact information about the policy.I am unable to understand what I should do against the insurance company.

Very Bad experience

Very Bad experience. I paid for 3 years adavance and still my claim got rejected by them. I am sharing my documnets all to this company but they are fraud people.

I am going to consumer court for this case.

I am extremely disappointed with the massive and unjustified increase.

I am extremely disappointed with the renewal pricing of my Health Companion policy. I paid ₹41,495 in April 2024 for a two-year policy and did not make any claims during the entire period. At renewal, I have been asked to pay ₹54,717, which is a massive and unjustified increase.
There was no clear explanation provided for this hike, no transparency in premium calculation, and no proactive communication about changes in pricing or benefits. A claim-free customer should not face such a steep jump without proper justification.
This experience has created serious doubts about pricing fairness and customer treatment. I request the company to provide transparent premium breakdowns and treat long-term customers more responsibly.

It is the worst company with worst support system and pathetic app . Customer literally struggle to access the app. And it rejects claims frequently.One of the recent report said that they have earned 40000 cr from insurance in India and the claim amount they processed is meagre 4000cr. So be aware and dont buy any insurance from them.

Niva Bupa took my money and no insurance provided!

Niva Bupa has failed to refund my payment for a policy they were unable to provide.

The policy was cancelled, payment was taken, and despite repeated follow-ups over several weeks, there is still no refund confirmation or timeline.

The sales agent was professional and helpful — the delay appears to be entirely due to Niva Bupa’s internal processes.

I am now escalating this formally as a grievance. Very disappointing experience and poor accountability.

I am a existing customer of niva bupa since 4 years,this is the fifth year of policy the company manger mr pranjal who is manger is very rude,& very unprofessional I am paying fifty year premium With any claim of single rupes but he thinks he is the ceo of the company kindly not he is even getting religious byas

My daughter got admitted for 3 days due to some emergency. It's been 70 days still i dint get approval. They are asking for the same documents repeatedly even after submitting the same. I am fed up with your service. They should be shut down. Stay far away from NIVA BUPA.

Niva bupa has issued the life policy…

Niva bupa has issued the life policy without providing proper terms and conditions (they got some tie up with HDFC credit card) . I requested them to cancel this policy with immediate effect but still no proper response.

The girl who called me from Nivabupa was +916382756545 Latha. She was literally threatening me that I cannot cancel my policy without paying any money and without her help. Such a worst behaviour and worst attitude from your employee.

They explained while I was getting a credit card that my limit is 25k and I can use upto 15k and the rest of the 10k will automatically be deducted from my card and I don't want to pay anything for this. But now they are asking me to pay for this and I really don't understand this procedure.

If your employees cannot be true to their clients there is no point running a business. For God's sake don't steal our money for us it is hard earnings.
 
For your customer services I don't like to give 1 star, if there is any option to give in minus I would have chosen that.

Niva Bupa Health Insurance - A SCAM

I bought a Niva Bupa Health family plan this year. In July my daughter got admitted for 2 days due to some emergency. Up to now (end of November 2025) Niva Bupa has not yet cleared my claim amount and are making so many excuses, asking for the same documents repeatedly even after submitting the same. Its so frustrating and time consuming. Please dont ever go for this company policy. They are cheats.

No grievance team and customer care

I have written a email explaining my issue to customer care no response for 15 days then I have escalated to Grievance no use they are just sharing the acknoledgement mail no one is working on the issue

worst experience we faced when my sister applied for insurance. She went under treatment for breathing issues from last 3 months and apollo doctors mentioned she has heart breathing issues instead of immediate surgery they tried to improve her breathing levels with tablets. but her heart pumping is not supporting more then 28% and decided to go with pace maker.and we submitted niva bupa insurance but they rejected. The family is holding since since more then 8 years insurance ported in January 2025 to niva bupa for better network hospitals this was big bad decision by the family taking niva bupa. They can't go for reimbursement as their financial doesn't support.

Sure the family need to file with law suit and now her life is in risk with this insurance company.

Please guys avoid niva bupa

Niva Bupa - Fraud Health Insurance Company

I had a very bad experience with Niva Bupa. They rejected my reimbursement claim three times without providing any valid reason, even though my claim was completely legitimate.

I strongly advise against purchasing a Mediclaim policy from Niva Bupa. Even their network hospitals often refuse cashless treatment for Niva Bupa policyholders. And when you apply for reimbursement, they reject the claim without any proper justification, despite it being valid and covered under the policy terms.

There is also no proper support or direct communication channel with Niva Bupa. They rarely respond to queries. So, please review and cross-check every policy term carefully before purchasing a Niva Bupa Mediclaim policy. I would never recommend buying it.

Niva Bupa- fraud company - fraud agents - don’t buy online

Hi All,
I am reportin against a specific individual arti, who works for bupa.
Buying insurance online is very deceptive and not useful as agents don’t take responsibility once the the payments are done.

Remarks:
1. i have taken this policy with preexisting diseases amd provided all the details but they were not listed in there.
2. My covid claims were rejected while it got approved from my company. It’s a shame that the team were not helpful and left me to ombuds with out taking care of it.
3. ⁠Not received a single reminder to track the annual payments and yet the policy was cancelled siting rubbish reasons of expiry while your team was at fault not sending the reminders at first.
I have continued paying for my mother for 3 years to get the access to pre existing diseases related ailments but look on the fourth year, they stopped sending the reminder and i lost the track and payment delayed by a 1 momth 10 days and all the three years of money amd time wasted.

Bastards agents and afraud company.

Very disappointed with the service.

My family had a really bad experience with Niva Bupa Health Insurance And the person dealing with our account (Ajay Sankar) was the branch manager of their Guwahati office in Assam.

Being part of the investments and insurance industry myself, it is extremely disheartening to see how some individuals misuse their position to take advantage of families, often in their 40s and 50s, who may not be fully aware of the fine details, all for the sake of commissions.

In our case, key aspects of the insurance contract were deliberately misrepresented or not disclosed. And when confronted, the response we received from Mr. Ajay Sankar was: “What proof do you have that I have not explained?” This, from a branch manager who consistently ignored calls and messages, only to later hide behind paperwork.

This kind of conduct not only damages customer trust but also tarnishes the reputation of the entire industry.
