The Nextbase Rear-View Camera is designed with a narrower, telephoto lens, to record the view of the road directly behind your vehicle. The view recorded is similar to the image seen in your rear-view mirror. It uses a 30° telephoto lens to look back through the vehicle, capturing details of the road behind, making sure you are guarded against tailgaters and rear end impacts. The Rear-View Camera can easily be installed by clicking it into the side of your front facing Nextbase Dash Cam model. Compatible with: 322GW 422GW 522GW 622GW (Will NOT work with Piqo) Resolution When you are using a rear-view camera module the resolution of your front camera will automatically adjust to manage the two high resolution video files. The options for these settings are: 622GW Front 4K, Rear 1080p 422/522GW Front 1080p, Rear 1080p OR Front 1440p, Rear 720p 322GW Front 1080p, Rear 720p Module connectivity Connects directly to your Dash Cam and records the rear view of your journey through your car. Compatible with Nextbase 322GW, 422GW, 522GW and 622GW models. Not compatible with the 512GW or 380GWX.

Clear videos captured of traffic behind. Take care when mounting to ensure that when your passenger puts their sun visor down, you do not obscure the cameras view.

Initially I had issues getting the rear view camera to work. I soon realised it needs a careful but firm push into it's mounting connection due to it's connection mount shape. After that it worked fine. When reviewing the camera footage it is possible to see following vehicle number plates & generally get a reasonable view of what's going on behind. This might also be dependant on your car design & size. Mine is a new MG ZS EV with a reasonably big rear window. A point to note is the telescopic lens on this camera is adjustable for direction which make it easy to line up without moving the front viewing camera. So far, really pleased with it.

When I plug it in, it causes the camera to crash and freeze. I'll probably return it and buy a second dashcam (not nextbase) to use as a dedicated rear view camera.

Whenever I adjust the rear view camera lens, any movement of the rear view camera itself causes the screen pop up window to go green. I then have to restart the whole unit.

I would suggest checking that the cabin camera is fully inserted into the port on the front camera, as this may be the cause of the issue.
