I wish I had come here before ordering. I have not received my order that was placed in September and got the same response as others. “Will be shipping in the next two weeks.” But I get a couple of emails a day trying to get me to order again. I’m so disappointed that we have so many deceptive people in our world.
This company is a scam. I ordered a fruit tree in June of 2024 and was told it would ship in 10 days. After 3 weeks I called asking and was told that it was to hot in the shipping lane so they would be shipping when safe for the tree. In October I called again and still the same answer. After many more calls and getting the same answer I decided to get smart and read the reviews and realized I should have done that before ordering. Reviews are terrible. I contacted the Nebraska Consumer Affairs and filed a complaint. I was contacted by phone from the Consumer affairs and was told that they would contact Nature Hills on my behalf. I asked if they read the many bad reviews and the lady, Stephanie Odvarka, said that she did and was amazed how many negative there were. I did get a reply from Nature Hills telling me that management has approved a full and complete refund in 10-12 business days. 16 business days later I did get a refund but of course they charged a 10% restocking fee even after telling me in a letter that they would refund in full. Buyer beware, this company is very, very bad.
I ordered some blueberry and grape vines on Oct 30, 2024. My credit card was charged the same day. However, never got them. Two weeks ago, I called customer service and they said the back orders would be sent within two weeks. Still, not arrived by three weeks. Now, the customer service number states closed ‘for the holiday’ even though it is Dec 1st. Also, emails to support do not work, and an important telephone number on my credit card statement has been disconnected.
This place is a scam site. Please let your social circle know!
I can only agree with what many many others have said. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING from this merchant unless all you want is to throw your money away. Ordered two trees the end of August and CC charged immediately. After contacting them several times and always being told "will be shipped out this week" I finally canceled the order and was given the "10 days to 2 weeks" refund promise. NEVER happened. Finally filed a dispute with CC bank and they have credited my account.
I ordered two shrubs in July. I've been trying since to either get what I paid for or to get my money refunded. I called them every two weeks. Each time I was told they would be shipped in two weeks. After two and a half months of this, I called and told them to refund my money. When I asked them when I'd see it back in my back account, they told me, wait for it, two weeks! Four weeks later, I still have no shrubs and no refund. Next step is to call the police and to file a complaint with my state's Attorney General's office. Scumbags!
Ordered plants at the beginning of September, got charged for them right away. After waiting a few weeks, I emailed them and got the "too hot" excuse. I have emailed them two more times since the weather has gotten cooler and get a vague response that they are going to start shipping but nothing is happening. I have put in a dispute with my credit card because they were going to charge me 20% to cancel the order. This company is horrible.
This online nursery is definitely the worst online nursery that I have ever used. In the past 6 years, I have ordered plants from 9 different online nurseries. Yes, I realize that I have an addiction.
This is incomparably the worst experience I have ever had. It has now been 2 months since placing an order for two trees. I have called customer service multiple times and they keep saying that shipping is delayed due to weather. Ok.....it was hotter than normal in September this year, but we have now had two freezes since then. The worst part is that customer service cannot even begin to give an estimated shipping date. They have no idea. I am starting to wonder if this is actually just a sham company.
I got tired of waiting and actually ordered the exact same two trees from another website over a month ago. They arrived within a week and are already planted and doing well. At this point, I am only leaving this order open as a test to see if they ever do ship the trees. I honestly doubt it. They are probably just hoping that I forget about the order.
I placed my order July second. Today is October 30 and my order still hasn't shipped. They want to charge 10% to cancel my order. 10% for NOTHING.
Customer service doesn't want to deal with anyone, and they tell you the same things over and over. Their recommendation was to keep waiting. They billed me months ago and yet i'm still waiting for the item to ship.
Horrible products and customer service! I placed an order for four trees and invoice was over $400. When they arrived, they were twigs with a few leaves and not labeled. I was shocked by the horrible quality. After sending photos and many emails and callls, they offered no replacement or refund. I wouldn’t order anything from them!
Ordered plants in August, two months later, after multiple inquiries, still nothing received. Customer service is awful, no hint at when they will fulfill the order. [Update: I have just been informed that Nature Hills has finally shipped some of my plants. It is now the end of March, seven months after ordering. Still no apology or explanation, or word on the other plants. I wonder if the company is in financial trouble.]

Really disappointed that they will not send out the paid order. I have called 3 times to get information on when it would be shipped. I paid for the order in August for a fall delivery it is now Oct 23rd they still have no delivery date for me. The next week to 10 days has nighttime freezing temps in my location. I NEED my trees ASAP.
I ordered plants in early Sept that were listed as "in stock". After weeks of no updates, I called and was told that the shipping was delayed due to high temperatures (despite receiving plants from other companies). I called back multiple other times and was given a different excuse each time ("there was a backorder", "the temerpatures were still too high for shipping", "we should be shipping them plants any day now"). Now, over a month later, there have not been any updates and we have not received any plants. However, if you cancel the order they state that there is a 20% cancellation fee (which is not displayed on "check out" page, but rather can only be found if you click on a small link at the bottom)....for what.....for deleting the order in the computer? It seems that their business plan involves customers paying for plants, not delivering them, and then trying to keep 20% when customers try and cancel. Hopefully people read this review so that this terrible business practice can come to an end.
SCAM-SCAM-SCAM Bought plants two and a half months ago and they never shipped them, when I called to check on my order the person I talked to (Barry ) gave me two options, he told me to keep checking my spam folder for tracking information or take a store credit, why would I take a store credit when they can't even ship what I bought ten weeks ago, I took my own option and filed a dispute with my credit card company. They also want to charge a 20% restocking fee if you cancel your order, a restocking fee for something they never shipped that's a scam in itself,
Nature Hills is a scam. Ordered in July and here it is October and no delivery. non delivery of product, They repeatedly say cant ship cause of hot weather, cannot talk to anyone in management.
Going against my credit card company now otherwise we go to small claims to get my $260 back.
This is a horrible horrible place do not order!!!!!!!! they shipped a dead tree and charged me shipping to replace it !!!!!! The worse ever and rude, i paid shipping 45 $ and took 4 weeks.
I placed an order with these people two months ago and are telling me for the second time that they weather is not good enough to ship out yet. This company is a HUGE SCAM and will getting it investigated. If I were you file a report, call your credit card company and get your money back. They messed with the wrong person.
They charge your card right away, then keep giving excuses for not shipping. Somehow it has been too warm for them to ship, even though I've received plants from other companies during the same period with no problems. Then suddenly my login to their site no longer works. Be sure to dispute the charges with your credit card company, don't fall for their "restocking fee" nonsense....the credit card companies will stop accepting charges from them if enough of us victims dispute the charges.
I'm betting most of the positive reviews they have are fake...
Got 2 plants on bogo deal. The thing is when they do bogo , you can’t get one plant. It automatically adds 2 plant Both arrived without any protection. Still planted them. Both didn’t show any growth after a month. Emailed and sent pics, was told to wait . Another 3 months later zero growth.emailed - replied with circumstances happen , you get 50% of plant price. Ok. Since you got on bogo - now you need to order 2 plants more + pay for shipping. Why do they get to decide how we use our 50% of the money?
I think they are doing this as a scam. If you paid for the extra warranty, you get good plants. If you don’t pay for that you get subpar plants and you either pay them more and more as they die or people just give up . Win for them both ways.
Be aware. This company is a scammers. I purchased a white snow fountain tree and Yoshino flowering trees on June 19th, with a guarantee of 2 to 4 weeks for shipping. So far, only the white snow fountain has been shipped, and I’m still waiting for the Yoshino tree. I’ve contacted them four times since June, and they keep saying the shipping is delayed due to weather. It’s been four months, and they’ve told me to keep waiting. Now my lease has ended, and I’m moving to another state, so I need to cancel my order. However, they informed me I’ll be charged a 20% cancellation fee
I placed an order on Monday evening. On Tuesday night I noticed on the order confirmation that they had charged me $19.99 for shipping when the website said Free Shipping on orders over $139. Customer service was closed by then so I intended on calling the next day but my dog died suddenly and I didn't get around to calling until Thursday. The man on the phone was not helpful at all and just claimed there was nothing he could do since I had failed to see there was a code and had thus not entered the code. Easy mistake to make on my part and easy for him to fix on his end. However he refused to do so and they have thus lost yet another customer. This is not good business practices and successful business owners would not ever dream of treating their customers this way.
