This was the cheapest misleading product I ever ordered. It will also cost me a fortune to return even though they claim 100% return policy. I’m so disappointed. Thin material, you can’t even call it a jacket. PLEASE do NOT order anything from this fake company.

Beware! These items are knock offs. I ordered a pair of Lara ergonomic sandles. The sandals I received were knockoffs the pictures in the description versus the ones that came to me were totally different. The souls were different, and obviously the quality of the shoe that I received was not the same when I tried to get a refund, they wanted me to pay money pay shipping to China or accept some lousy deals like 50% refund and keep the shoes or hundred percent credit for other store merchandise (wouldn’t consider.

Let me start by saying that this was the worst shopping experience ever. The item arrived too small, so I wanted to exchange it, and that's where the problems began. I couldn't return it without a fee (where it says returns are free). The man or woman offered to refund 30% of the purchase price and let me keep the item, even though it's too small—what's the point if I won't wear it anyway? I told them I wanted to return it and send it back; I didn't need it. They replied that I'd still be responsible for the shipping costs and wouldn't refund the entire item. They offered to send me a second set, but larger. They sent the same size. I told them I received the same size and already have two sets that are too small. They demanded photos of both sets. Honestly, I had no desire or inclination to deal with them anymore. I have two sets that are too small, and I wasted $56 and time. I know I'll never order anything from Nancy & Ruth again, and I recommend them to anyone. I know that the company covers costs and the like, but why they propose to send the same set and lose money just to not return it, I don't know.

If I could rate this company with 0 stars, I would. I ordered shoes from them. They came and were way too big. I asked to return or refund. They basically told me I would have to ship them back to China, which would cost $30-40 and then they'd refund the money. The shoes were less than $60. When I explained and even sent pictures of how improperly sized they were, they still wouldn't refund me, and only offered a 35% refund. DO NOT buy from this brand. They do not stand behind their manufacturing.

Do not order from them. They are not a store here in the US. They are overseas. The shoes I ordered were $54 and pure plastic. Not worth $5. Will not let you return them unless you pay the shipping back. They offered me 20% back. Total Scam!!!!!!!

If there was a zero I would give this company a zero. This stuff comes from China and is resold and you cannot return it and get your money back. They only give you a portion of a refund plus they charge you shipping, and if that wasn’t enough, there’s a restocking fee as well. Instead, they’ll pay you 20% to just let it go. It’s a big rip off. Don’t do it!

Nancy Ruth Charleston is a scam. The items do not look like the items on the website. They are clearly cheaply made, smell of plastics and chemicals and come from China, not a boutique in Charleston. Do NOT buy items from them.

ATTENTION!! BEWARE!! - The product is nothing like the picture- the shoe was so cheaply made the buckle was broken when I received my package!! The size wasn’t even right! They don’t answer the phone and they DONT CALL YOU BACK! It Took forever for my package to get to me- and there was never an update to wear my purchase was!!!

I ordered three pairs of shoes from Nancy and Ruth during a sale. Based on the website, everything appeared legitimate. However, after receiving the tracking information, I discovered that the products were being shipped from China, despite marketing that emphasized being a USA-based family business founded by women entrepreneurs.
The order took about three weeks to arrive and was packaged in a thin plastic bag. All three pairs of sandals were squeezed together, bent, misshapen, and not in wearable condition.
I contacted customer service and was offered a 30% refund if I kept the shoes. The alternative was to return them to China at my own expense, after which the company would inspect the return before processing a refund.
I was very disappointed with both the product quality and the company's resolution process. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from this company again and would encourage other customers to research the return policy and shipping practices before ordering.

I wish I read these reviews before I ordered shoes from them. It took nearly one month to receive them and when I did, they didn't look like the pictures. The straps were too large and the color and material were not the same as the picture. I complained and they gave me a 20% refund. I'm sorry I didn't ask for more. I was ripped off since I can't wear these shoes.

Deceptive marketing- the shoes delivered weren’t even close to the video and photos in ad. Return policy is ridiculous. Horrible experience.

I purchased from them under the name of Ruth & Kate. The pictures and websites look exactly the same. They seem to have various names and concepts. Clothing was gorgeous on their website and advertised as linen. I received clown clothes (after a month of waiting and directly from China) with no resemblance to what was pictured and it was heavy, cheap, tacky polyester. I wrote to complain and they said that they would reduce the cost by 20%. I said no and that the dresses were advertised as linen. They offered to reduce the charges by 30% as it would save me the costly return shipping charges. Whaat? I said no way. They replied again and said that the clothing had never been marketed as linen. I snipped my order email and red circled the areas which included the very words linen in both dress descriptions. I asked for a 100% refund as this seemed like deceptive advertising and that I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. I did receive a full refund after that threat. Perhaps their fraudulent tactics work with some people and likely this is what they are hoping for. Note to self- pay with a credit card where you can dispute or threaten to dispute when things go wrong. Truly a shame as the originally depicted dresses were gorgeous. This was so disappointing and so deceptive.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! This company presents itself at a Charleston SC based clothing seller, but they actually sell cheap Chinese merchandise. They don't have an actual Charleston presence. The quality of the merchandise is VERY poor (so is the packaging) and is not at all like their photos.

Items I've received were like a very chip replica of what they advertised. They do not worth even 10% of the amount I paied for them! When I contacted Nancyand Ruth support, they offered only 20% refund or send my order back to China on my own account. Lost money anyway.

Absolutely awful. I ordered a pair of shoes that were originally listed for over $200. They were marked down on sale to $54.95. A few days after placing my order, I received a message saying that the boutique was carefully inspecting my order and would ship my order out as soon as it was ready. Instead, my item was being drop-shipped from China. The quality was absolutely terrible. Smelled like plastic and didn't even come with a box. Please beware!

A total SCAM!! I received the outfit on
May 18, 2026. The outfit looked nothing like the advertisement!
Poorly stitched, cheap fabric, too short, etc, etc.
When a refund was requested, the company offered me to keep the cheap outfit or give it to someone in return for a partial refund.
NO!!! Return my money, because I'm going to return your ugly merchandise.

I had a terrible experience with Nancy and Ruth. They falsely advertised their clothing as luxury, high-quality pieces, but what I received was cheap, flimsy, and reeked of a strong chemical odor. The return policy was not on their site when I ordered, and only after I pushed them via email and threatened my credit card company did they suddenly add the policy. The items look nothing like they were promoted—this is a scam, and I strongly advise others to avoid this shop.
