Having the Myhomehelper tablet at my dad's place has been really useful for him: I've set up reminders for him about the day's activities, interspersed with photos and memories, the BBC headlines and a traditional-looking clock. It's been easy to update his calendar remotely. It's a simple idea but works really well, both for the old person and the person (ie for me, his son) doing all the updates remotely.

Found myhomehelper on a web search whilst trying to find something to help communicate with elderly mother (97). Easy to set up and now using. What a great simple tool for reminders and video chats!! Does everything it says on the tin!

The My Home Helper tool is brilliantly simple and effective. It helped me to support my mum from afar because, not only could she see the schedule for the day, her carers, dog walkers and other people could see it too. The video call function was an emotional lifeline for her.

The company behind the tool always responded quickly and personally.

My Mum who has dementia has adapted so well to the My home helper. She has a white board with the week’s activities written on, but if things changed it wasn’t always possible to change the white board in time.
The Home Helper is set to display what is happening that day. It has helped Mum take one day at a time. Being able to edit the information remotely from my phone or laptop to update the screen quickly is brilliant.
Daily reminders for her Meds are helping too.
The video call is a great feature and Mum copes really well. She is very deaf so being able to see us on the screen too really helps her. It is much easier than the telephone. It’s great she doesn’t have to do anything to answer the call. It’s great for those in the family who live further away too.
Having a trial account first helped us see how it worked and Kevin even extended it for us when we hadn’t had enough time to try it out.
It has been a great tool and Kevin really has made it user friendly and once confident with it, so easy to use.
Not seen anything else as good on the market.
Technical support is available from Kevin too which is great backup.
I would highly recommend this product!

Myhomehelper has been invaluable for communicating with my elderly mother who has dementia and lives at a distance. She really struggles with technology and didn't always answer the phone, but the myhomehelper requires no interaction at all from the person receiving the call so it was easy to have video chats and see she was OK. I mostly used it for video chats but other functions like reminders and sending photos are useful too. Don't know of any other service like it so really pleased I found out about it.

Great system to video call a dementia sufferer with out them having to do anything their end. Also a great electronic photo frame and enables reminder texts and alarms to be set up. Very good customer support. My mum has now gone into a care home and no longer needs it but it was a great thing for her to have for many years before that.

Ok device. But needed help with set up .. emailed several times and used online forum - nothing. Contacted about change of bank details - nothing. Customer service is pretty much none existent.

This is a brilliant device for keeping in touch with an elderly parent with dementia. We've been using it for about a month now and have found it to be a fantastic way of reminding dad what is happening when. He is a lot happier now he knows the shape of each day, and can be prepared for visitors and phone calls from the family. He was previously obsessed with getting ready for imagined upcoming appointments, so it's also been useful for letting him know when nothing is planned so he can relax!
The automatic video calling has been invaluable for overseas family keeping in touch with him as he can't operate the iPad that they were previously using when my mother was alive. An all-round great bit of kit that makes things so much easier and alleviates worry all round.

We bought this in 2022 for our Mum. She had it in her bungalow and then we installed it in the care home she moved to. It was a fantastic purchase and so helpful for Mum and us. The mobile video improvements were much easier than the VSee app. In the last few weeks before Mum passed the video was so helpful so we could see in.

In the last few years of his life, my father (who lived on his own and had dementia) was struggling more and more to remember to do everyday tasks like taking his tablets, remembering who was visiting etc. We got him a MyHomeHelper tablet on the recommendation of friend. It was a game-changer for him and for the family. It gave him that gentle prompt he needed to assist with daily tasks - and also enabled family to communicate with him as needed. He became more relaxed than he was before, and it also gave the family peace of mind. The device is easy to use and does not need the main "user" (in my case, my father) to do anything complicated. The service from Kevin also excellent. I can highly recommend.

My mother in law was diagnosed with dementia and eventually had to go in a care home. She lived in the Uk we live in the states. We had always skyped with her once a week but she couldn’t figue out how to use her tablet anymore. I researched my home helper and found it perfect for her . We controlled the tablet from the US. All she had to do was be infront of it ( care home helped with that) we could leave her little messages and reminders and upload photos old and new to stimulate her memory. I highly recommend this . The company has a great response to any questions or technical difficulties. My mother in law just recently passed and i plan to give the tablet away to another family.

MyHomeHelper has been brilliant in helping me and other family members keep in touch with my mum who is in (roughly) the middle stages of dementia.

The video calling feature is superb, allowing me to video call her without her having to press any answer buttons. She enjoys seeing the family photographs we’ve uploaded appear on the screen, and we can send reassuring messages or remind her of what’s happening that day.

Kevin, who developed the tablet, has been massively helpful whenever I’ve had a question and when a change of router in the house caused a temporary problem.

A friend who had used HomeHelper with her dad recommended it to us and we’re so glad she did. I’d recommend giving it a go if a loved one has dementia and you live remotely from them.

This tablet has helped my to care for my dad (who has Alzheimer's) from a distance. The daily diary means he can see what's happening, and so can his carers.
The video call is brilliant - he doesn't need to answer so I can get straight through to him.

Mum has dementia/alzheimers, I wanted the home helper as a way of improving our communication as I live a distance away, I didn't realise that it would save mums life!! Mum had a fall and lay on the floor overnight. Unable to reach her via the telephone I used the video call, immediately realising something was wrong. The tv was not on!! Although unable to see Mum I could hear her and most importantly she could hear me. I called an ambulance and was able to continue reassuring mum until help arrived. With out the home helper I may have continued to think mum is in the garden and not got the help she desperately needed. I've also been able since this incident to talk to various professionals visiting mum whilst I'm at work. If you are considering this kit, just buy one. It could be the best purchase you make!!

Myhomehelper is a great piece of technology. We purchased for my Dad as he was unable to operate PC computer webcam & didn’t have a smart phone. The tablet supplied allowed us to remotely add photos, set up reminders and leave messages as well as video calls. This was really helpful as I was living outside UK. Lovely to be able to see him face to face and vice versa.

My Homehelper was a Godsend for me living in the UK and my mother with dementia living abroad. I got the Homehelper about 10 years ago when my mother was still living independently and in the early stages of dementia. It was brilliant for keeping in touch, checking on my mom, helping to remind her of important appointments and send reassuring messages and greetings, and also for problem-solving using the video call feature where she could show me things that were confusing her, like official letters. It was also great for orienting her to the time and date and giving her news updates, and the photo feature was excellent for keeping her up to date with the family. My mother's dementia progressed and she eventually went into a care home with her Homehelper, so we could still keep in touch by video call. She often said that it was the best thing ever, and she loved to see the photographs coming up, and various reminders that helped to reassure her and reduce her anxiety. I also found the very responsive support I got from MyHomehelper extremely helpful. If on the rare occasion I encountered any issues, things were very quickly resolved. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

I am so glad that I came across MyHomeHelper back in 2022 when we were early on with my Dad's dementia journey (Alzheimer's disease).
I was looking for something I could send text messages to as my Dad was no longer able to cope with that function on his phone. MyHomeHelper went so beyond that - with the remote management being the key. I could make sure all his appointments, including family visits, were in the diary - that had a weekly and 'what is happening today?' view. I could add reminders, photos to trigger memories and even include a news feed (in his case UK Sport) to keep him informed.
I was never able to use the auto-answer video calling, but can see that being incredibly helpful to keep families connected with the need for the user to deal with 'pressing a button / icon'.
It was really useful to customise and turn off functionality that my Dad could no longer cope with as his condition worsened.
Kevin has been wonderful in providing support when the original unit developed a fault and when my Dad passed away.
I have given talks as a dementia carer and have always included a mention of MyHomeHelper - something I would thoroughly recommend to anyone doing their best to help a relative through their dementia journey.

We've only been using this tablet for 2 months but already it's made a massive difference to our lovely mam's day to day life. It is taking away such a lot of her anxiety because we have running reminders letting her know what is happening next in the day - so we are using it like an electronic whiteboard. We can change the message on our phones or laptops and it updates within a minute on the screen next to her - with photos of us showing. If she leaves the phone off the hook we can video call her on auto answer. There are SO many helpful features on this brilliant tablet that we can't use because mam's memory loss is so profound, but as she can still read it is reassuring her constantly and has taken a lot of anxiety away for us too... Hugely recommend as a brilliant communication tool!! So well thought through - thank you for creating this!!

Myhomehelper tablet is a brilliant device. My father lives alone with dementia, now knows the day of the week and the time which means he eats at the correct time. I am able to put memos on the screen eg. which dustbin to put out, what time tesco is arriving, the time he can expect his grandchildren to arrive.
If he doesn't answer the house phone I can speak to him via the tablet.
The company is first class- i received the tablet the next day after ordering, when my father hoovered the cable up Kevin put a replacement in the post without delay.
