The staff. Nothing is ever a problem. They keep you up to date with what’s going on

- initially booked for Mycar pacific fair to replace an engine mount in 2024. booked for this work to be done, told after service completed they couldnt source the parts.
- Booked in earlier this with a weeks notice to have this done alongside standard service, was advised that the mechanic who advised this work had basically tried to gouge me as this work was not required, however, I do need a rear seal replacement. was told Mycar Pacific fair not set up for this work as it means removing the entire engine.
-booked rear seal work with Mycar Benowa. couldn't fit me in for a few weeks, no problems. quoted $1600ish
- received the email for the 1 day only tyre sale, called mycar benowa, was told the tyre sale didnt apply to my vehicle due to size of tyres (no problem) but also, there was no record of a booking in the system and they don't carry that work out at Benowa.
-Manager Dan called back to advise that they can do this work, that he was aware of the booking because he made it and just hadnt entered it into the system. was initially booked for drop off late 10/6 for work on 11/6
- I Called to reschedule about a week before the booking as I couldn't attend. we agreed to push back to drop off late tue 17/6 for work on 18/6. My wife works from home wednesday, which is why I booked like this so I had a car for the day.
-8.30am 17/6 Dan calls and asks where the car is as he had booked it in for this day (incorrect) I took an hour off work to get the vehicle to the workshop, as i was told it would be a 10 week wait until they could next do the work.
12.30ish 17/6 Dan calls and advises CV Boot also needs doing. work approved - advised 360ish for the work
-4.45 17/6 received SMS to advise car was ready. attended site, and told approx $2100 for the work - about $200 more than quoted. I asked about this, and after some hurried phone calls was advised this was an error and the work was actually $1950.
- Invoice could not be adjusted, no one there with the ability or access to update the invoice, and after almost 20 minutes was sent home with out the car.
- attended the following day to collect the car, again was served immediately, but waiting almost 25 minutes while staff tried to generate the invoice. for whatever reason, I was not able to pay at the terminal and had a link sent to me to pay online.
showed evidence of payment, collected keys, was not issued a receipt and was told one would be emailed to me with details of work (still not issued)
- Monday 23/6 approx 8.30am I received a call from Dan asking me "is there any reason you took the car and didn't pay for the work" which, after everything else was the straw that broke the camels back.
- I called back at lunch time to confirm he could actually see the payment, and to ask what went wrong on this booking as it had been a nightmare start to finish. Dan was less than helpful. I got a lot of "our systems old" and "mistakes were made because w are busy"
- Dan confirmed His Area Manager had listened to a call recording confirming the Date Dan thought he had booked me on. I asked for a copy of the recording and was told this could not be made available to me. Dan went on to say that his Manager was off for about three weeks now so couldn't contact me to discuss my concerns. I asked him to send his manager an email and CC me requesting a call back, Dan declined and said the only way to work through the complaints process is via this portal.

Technicians got me in quickly to repair a punctured a tyre and explained to me how it all worked. Plus they put my spare back underneath my car and put my tyre back on for me.

They tracked down a hard-to-find part for my vehicle and fitted it straight away.

Team was fantastic. Did everything on time considering there was only two of them on it was very impressive. Really comprehensive breakdown on pick up and answered all of my questions.

Realized I had a screw in my tyre and the boys are able to fit me in straight away even though they were busy and fix it. Really nice fellas and I would have no hesitation to recommend them.

I phoned the team at the Benowa very good and they do all my regular tire changes et cetera. My only little gripe is that it's hard to get hold of them and maybe my car needs to work out a better system of communication.

Very helpful, friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate my needs.

It took 3 phone calls/visits after the initial diagnosis for a quote, finally the quote was verbal and we booked in and then after follow-up again the quote was sent through; the quote was not itemised it was just a final figure. We had to proceed with the job because the car was unroadworthy at this point. The communication regarding the car was lacking, we enquired about picking the car up and was informed our car had been taken to another shop. Finally on collection and payment the invoice was also not itemised when we understand this is meant to be one of the standards for Kmart tyre and auto. When questioned we were told it was over a certain amount so can’t itemise. In all our years of owning vehicles we have never not received an itemised invoice. Happy that the car was serviced and now roadworthy but believe we have paid too much with little choice.
