Should be a one star but...
My review would be a one star but I was able to save my class videos and instruction resources, (grudgingly).
After getting an email from a totally different crafting source outside Bluprint I spent hours figuring out the ins and outs of saving my 12 classes. After seeing how many more classes many people had purchased, my heart goes out to the time and effort to save the majority of content.
I say 'majority of content' because my downloaded videos only include the video instruction. There are no side bars for comments, questions, lesson plans and ability to make unique notes and comments. Basically, and don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for what I was able to salvage, all you get are printable pdf instruction resources and the number of videos included in the class. It's possible my download experience did not include the entire enchilada.
To me, this is classic marketing gone amok. Not only did we all pay for "lifelong" classes that we could reference forever, we all (or most of us) had to pay for additional software (kching kching) in order to get what we already paid for.
Craftsy was such a great platform for so many crafts. I wasn't a big fan when it morphed from Craftsy into Bluprint and after reading about the changes I never purchased another class or paid a fee to join. It really is a sad loss for not only the consumer, but also for the excellent quality and professionalism of all the instructors.
I'm going to keep watching for information as this experience unfolds and hope everyone can at least obtain access to their videos and instruction resources. Keep calm and craft on.
Very poor customer service
We ordered items when they announced that they were closing to be sent to the UK of which it was sent in two parcels not one so the courier in America sent one back now they will not respond to emails and have taken payment in full we have been robbed. Avoid this company they do not respond to any of the multiple emails that we have been sending. Appalling service.
Bluprint sent all subscribers an email…
Bluprint sent all subscribers an email in May stating that it would be closing. Since then we have not had any correspondence or notification from them. Most people have classes that they have bought and are unable to download, yet no support has been given. This is a shoddy way to treat customers.
I’m in if anyone is starting a class action lawsuit against bluprint
I signed up for forever classes with teachers. They sold it and took away the teachers and added lousy classes. Just like a lot of the reviews I have read, I too was looking forward to retirement to use my classes. Somebody should be accountable to get our classes to us.
Absolutely frustrated with this Bluprint situation
I am like many others, tremendously disappointed at the closing of Bluprint, and their inability to provide customers with VIDEOS that we paid for. Over the years I accumulated 71 online classes, and now I face the option of having to download all class materials into some kind of storage device, and hope that somehow the videos would become available for download - the time I will spend doing it? How much is that worth? It is infuriating. At a time in which many are at home due to the pandemics and online anything is so popular, it must be proof of terrible, terrible management to have the company fold like that. I am not sure if a lawsuit is feasible, but if anyone has ideas about how to deal with it, I am all ears.
'forever' classes appear to be unavailable now
Was reasonably happy with the subscription, have been a member for years, since the craftsy days.
Just tried to watch a class that I own, and an unable to, as their security certificate has expired. I 'own' 112 classes, hardly watched any of them. I retire next month and was going to have a great time learning things! Does anyone have any information?
What’s next??
So what are Craftsy/Blueprint customers and instructors doing, now? Are there any other favorite groups to join?
Hi everyone just to let you know i…
Hi everyone just to let you know i found a way to download the Bluprint classes on my laptop.I did it with a Quick Time Player.I used the screen recording button.Yes its a tedious work and takes a lot of time but it works. And how can we be sure they will send us the classes we paid for after they close. This is uncertain.I mean they are still confused themselves. So i hope you try the Quick time player. It works perfectly .Good luck!
Forever Classes
Hi,
In the recent e-mail sent out by Bluprint regarding its upcoming shutdown and our access to our "Forever Classes", it states: "...For example, we’re working on a solution to give you an extended period to download your purchased classes.."
Unfortunately, this solution is less than desirable, in particular, for those who have a large collection of classes (or even a smaller amount). Downloading each section of a class one by one, is not efficient in any way, shape or form. Not to mention, the downloads can only be performed via your app, therefore, only via a phone/tablet. Phones and tablets have limited storage, nor is it our responsibility to try to find creative ways to bypass the storage capabilities on our phones/tablets.
We own these classes and should be provided with efficient solutions for downloading and storage, such as onto a desktop computer. Or please e-mail us our classes.
I hope this message can reach anyone who is in charge of finding a solution for this.
Thanks.
I am devastated
I am devastated that Bluprint is closing. I took so many extraordinary classes with outstanding instructors. It is true that Bluprint is not like Craftsy, but for me the subscription policy was better because of all the classes I could watch for less $$$.
Customer services have always be very efficient, I don’t understand comments saying otherwise.
It is, by far, the best site for sewing, quilting and knitting classes, I cannot judge the other topics because these were the only ones I experienced.
Would it be possible to put the classe on You Tube like the Midnight Quilter? I learned so much with both Craftsy and Bluprint and have many more things to learn.
Very sad decision

Craftsy used to be a top class platform…
Craftsy used to be a top class platform until Bluprint took them over. They changed it to a monthly/yearly subscription platform.
Bluprint is now closing down. What all the faithful customers had been promised by Craftsy to have lifelong access has been totally disregarded by Bluprint because Bluprint leaves us financially out of pocket since we cannot download all our classes and patterns that we faithfully bought, be it due to computer memory capacity or the sheer time it takes to download everything.
I really struggle to understand the dishonesty of Bluprint!
So much potential is just squandered here. =(
of the 5 total customer service events that I encountered. 2 of them were positive. We had to fight to get our subscription reward, were cancelled without our request to do so, and treated as though we were trying to get away with something. I'm concerned now, as I have heard that they are going out of business, that my "forever" classes may go away entirely. Very very poorly run business, though I hung on for a long time, hoping that with a few big names of instructors, that they would get it together and find their stride, but not thus far. I will however say that the most recent experience with them was outstanding, and it gave me a renewed hope that they might get it together finally.
Poor Quality and experience...removed a ton of…
Bluprint has shifted and removed a ton of features that craftsy had in place. One of what was the apple tv app, which makes it impossible to view videos when I need them. They changed the formats of the classes, and the depth of instruction is no longer the quality I am used to experiencing. The entire form and structure are non-intuitive. I wish Craftsy had never sold themselves to this company. It took a fantastic product and just made it worse.
Great content!
Classes are of great quality. Teachers presentations are easy to follow.

The site is nothing more than click bait. Do not use.
Satisfied
I took advantage of Bluprint's recent free course offer, and did Kat McTee's basic embroidery course and Jen Hewitt's block printing course. I was very satisfied and eventually hope to use what I learnt from Kat and Jen in my own art creations.
Don’t waste your time. Craftsy is dead. 👎
I loved this site when it was Craftsy. It was a breeze to use and I bought dozens of patterns over the years. When they switched to Blueprint I was unimpressed. My patterns I previously purchased are still there, but they are hard to find, missing thumbnail pics and disorganized. Forget trying to find new patterns to buy. It is a nightmare. I quit using the site all together and now rely solely on Ravelry, Etsy, and & Pinterest to find new projects. What a waste of a beautiful platform. I just can’t understand the appeal of Blueprint in any way, shape, or form.
Terrible!!
Terrible!!! Very aggressive at setting up an account, even if you are just browsing. Beware!! They do not have an easy unsubscribe
Gave them another try... I'm staying away.
No category for sewing patterns only sewing projects and kits. Advertising coupons you can't use unless you spend money on a subscription. Google is more helpful.
Be very careful!
Be very careful!! They give you directions to "manage subscriptions" However the page doesn't exist!!!
