Great! Love how the salespeople do not hover over you, but are there to answer any questions you have! Purchase of car is seamless and was delighted to be able to pick it up the next day! Fantastic service!

Great service and helpful staff

Altogether, this was the best experience I've had of purchasing a car outside my local dealership (also excellent, but in a different way). I came to Motorpoint (on recommendation of a neighbour) after a VW garage offered me a very low part-exchange price for my previous car. Motorpoint offered £2.5k more, and the vehicle I purchased was about £2.5k less. The staff were also excellent -- friendly, relaxed and informative -- and the online purchasing process incredibly smooth. My car was brought to Glasgow from another store down south within three days, and when I went to collect it, the process took little more than 30 minutes. All the paperwork was also delivered electronically a couple of days later. I'd never heard of Motorpoint before, but will certainly be going back the next time I need to change.

First class service to purchase my new car which is great Sam the salesman was very helpful from trading in mycar to collecting new car all done in 2 hours.

Best customer service there is.
Ellie was of particularly great service when I ran into some difficulty with a warranty claim recently. She was thorough in her help and followed through on everything she did. Couldn’t ask for better help.

Viewed a Cupra formentor at the Glasgow branch on wed 12th Aug and returned to pick it up on sat 15th Aug, car was very well presented in as new condition with very low miles , Reid Benz looked after us, Reid made the whole experience perfect from first meeting and test drive, to completing the purchase on Saturday, no pressure at any time and sorting all the paperwork , he sorted the retention of my private plate as well, I wish him all the best in the future , a really likeable lad , Thank you

Great choice of cars at reasonable prices sales people are not too pushy but still helpful. Sales person Hugh Kearney very helpful and knowledgeable again without being pushy. Fair trade in price aswell.

AVOID MOTORPOINT – Extremely disappointing experience

I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Motorpoint to think twice and consider going elsewhere.

My partner purchased a 2018 SEAT Mii from Motorpoint’s Mount Vernon branch only two weeks ago, and I have already been left dealing with a serious safety concern regarding the condition of the vehicle.

I discovered that three of the tyres are cracked and perished. What I find particularly concerning is that two of these tyres have been on the vehicle for approximately 9½ years, while another has been on the car for over 5 years. These are safety-critical components, and I find it extremely disappointing that tyres of this age and condition were still fitted to a vehicle being sold by a major motor dealer.

I contacted Motorpoint to raise my concerns, expecting them to take responsibility and resolve the issue. Instead, I have been left extremely frustrated with the response and the way my complaint has been handled.

I have dealt with Customer Services Manager Victoria Pyott, and I am very disappointed with how my concerns have been dealt with. I purchased this car only two weeks ago and should not have to fight to get a serious safety-related issue properly addressed. She wasn’t interested from the work go and had already written off the complaint as far as she is concerned the car is road legal and wasn’t interested that cracked and perished tyres affect the safety and stucture of the tyre. The tyre report from the pre delivery inspection only gives tyre readings but nothing mentioned about cracked and perished tyres.

The whole experience has seriously undermined my confidence in Motorpoint. I bought the vehicle expecting it to be safe and fit for purpose, yet I have had to identify problems myself almost immediately after purchase.

There was also an issue with corrosion on the brakes which was causing vibrations through the pedal which had to be fixed again nothing on the pre delivery inspection !

Based on my experience, I would avoid Motorpoint and would not recommend the Mount Vernon branch. I certainly would not purchase another vehicle from them.

If you are considering buying from Motorpoint, I would strongly recommend having the vehicle independently inspected and checking the age and condition of every tyre before handing over your money.

Extremely disappointing experience.

Bought my last 3 cars from Motorpoint, always found the staff to be great, not pushy. Never had any issues. Definately my first choice.

An incredibly negative experience that I had to seek legal advice from , I was sold a car that was not prepared in any way, paid for the ceramic coating that was definitely not applied, met with arrogant, passive aggressive staff, dismissive, relayed my concerns to staff members who were blatantly untrue in their replies, had to take the car to a garage the same day I picked it up...

A big Thank you to Josh who was extremely helpful when we went to view the car (Sun 09/08/2026) explaining all we needed to know and answering any questions we had We went back to pick the car up the next day (Mon 10/08/2026) and saw Aishah Sharif who completed the sale. Aishah went above and beyond to help us. A huge Thank you Aishah, couldn't have managed without you. You truly are a star and a definite asset to the company.

Best price for my car in the market, best price on my part ex. Car delivered in less time than they thought. Simple and painless.

Same old story, very good and caring at point of sale but their after care is unbelievably bad. Never in my life have I been spoken to by a business the way I was by Glasgow motorpoint. Also the car i got had immediate wet belt issues and was off the road for two months and i was arguining with them to pay for it as it was mis sold, they eventually conceded they were in the wrong.

Additionally, the trade in value for my car was massively reduced unbeknownst to me, literally robbed of around £1200. As soon as I sought recompense I was treated like scum of the earth. Would avoid this dodgy lot at all costs.
