an hour the car was supposed to have been inspected. when it came over it had lots of paint chips on it. they took it away to repair the chips.we were there another three quarters of an hour. sorry but just not good enough.

A straight forward buying process and good customer service
A straight forward buying process. The car was presented well and the damage I identified was well repaired before collection. The customer service team were prompt and helpful in this regard.
There was no negotiation on the price, but from my own research, I already knew the car was the cheapest around for the age, spec and mileage.
My only comment is that when buying a PHEV, some electric charge in the battery would have been preferred to test the car in EV mode as well as Hybrid. Far cheaper than putting extra petrol in the car and would have given me the complete test drive experience.

The car sold has 12 safety recalls
The car sold has 12 safety recalls , has developed two faults in two weeks of ownership. The free three month warranty is a farce, you have to pay to find out what the fault is, to see if it’s a warranty issue. The car is unsafe and that doesn’t seem to bother motorpoint. Avoid at all costs!

Left to browse the various choices and makes in peace.
Sales staff on hand to answer any questions.
Once car found test drive there and then.
Smooth transaction of sale from Reece.
No high pressure sales talk and took time to answer any questions we had.
Part exchange price and purchase price was excellent.
Even a few extras offered e.g new car mats.
Oh and free coffee… in a proper mug!
All in all an experience we would certainly recommend and will be our first port of call when time comes to trade up again.

Appalling!
I got an online valuation that was valid for 14 days. During this period I arranged an appointment with my local dealership at Birtley who then offered me a much reduced price. This actually approximately £800 less than the online quotation. The car is only a year old with limited mileage and immaculate. The car is exactly how I described it when entering the details online for the quote. When I asked to raise a complaint I was told by the branch manager that it says on their website that prices can change in line with current market value. Really? A drop of approximately £800 in 5 days? For a quotation price supposedly valid for 14 days. Appalling how these traders conduct their business like this. Perhaps there needs to be better regulation to stop traders doing this. All they have done is caused me a lot of inconvenience and waisted my time. I’ve sold my car to other, reputable dealers in the past and they actually honour the price given online. My advice is to save yourself a lot of inconvenience and go elsewhere.

Best sales and purchasing experience I’ve ever had
Having worked in sales and customer service for over 25 years I can honestly say this was the best buying experience I’ve ever had! Friendly greeting at the door with a few questions about what we were looking for and left alone to look with no pressure whatsoever. Once we had found a car we liked it was a sit down with a cuppa and a chat, I was a little sceptical about PCP as was my wife as we have never bought an almost new car before. Jack was outstanding, explained everything to us and answered all of our concerns. We left with no pressure but with the reassurance that we understood everything and that we were confident this was the best way for us to get a new car. I called when home and put a deposit down on the car we’d seen and picked it up the week after (could have been sooner but this was best for us). What a refreshing experience! I highly recommend and will definitely use again
