Extremely Disappointed – Avoid if You Expect Fairness
I’m incredibly disappointed in how MI Windows & Doors LLC handled my warranty request. I purchased my home in September 2024, and all of the windows had been newly installed by MI in 2018. The original homeowner had passed away, and his wife and children—who sold me the house—told me the windows were under warranty. However, no one, including them, was aware that the warranty had to be transferred within 90 days of the sale.
When I reached out to MI Windows & Doors, I explained the situation clearly: I paid a premium for this home specifically because of the newer windows, which means I essentially paid for the product they installed. Instead of showing any understanding or flexibility, MI coldly rejected my request, hiding behind a technicality and refusing to honor the warranty.
They claimed that the transfer timeline is “beyond their control,” which is ironic, considering it’s their own policy. Rather than stand by their product or show basic customer care, they used bureaucracy as an excuse to deny me service.
Let this be a warning: if you’re considering MI Windows & Doors LLC, understand that their warranty has loopholes that make it easy for them to walk away from responsibility. If your home changes hands—even due to unavoidable life circumstances—they will not support you.
I expected professionalism and integrity from a company of this scale. What I got was indifference, zero empathy, and no accountability.
