I have ordered so many taxi from this place and it’s a joke I really don’t no how they are still in business they try charge you on old meaters and over charge you they have drivers going about with fake id for taxi or there dads id for taxi because the picture shown is 20 years at least older than them they tell you ten minutes a every time you ring to see were your taxi is making ur son late for up to a hour and the stafff are so rude it’s unreal this place really needs sorting out it’s ridiculous

Metro rang 5 minutes before our pick up…
Metro rang 5 minutes before our pick up time on Christmas day evening and cancelled, offering no alternative for us. We had booked the day before on the app and had added a note that we required a dog friendly car.
The lady said this was not possible and promptly hung up when I said that this was terrible service.
We could have been left stranded as it is such a busy day but fortunately we got an UBER with a lovely driver and a cheaper price than Metro had estimated. I have tried to leave a Google review but it keeps getting refused. This is totally unacceptable and I would avoid booking with this firm. I would give a zero rating if that was possible. As you cannot leave an honest bad review I would suspect that their rating is nowhere near as good as it "appears"

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the dopey person who booked my taxi night before as urgent appointments at the hospital ,he promised me they will not be late wed morning at 8.15 ..well here we go , no taxi ,,,I were outside of the flats waiting ,,in the RAIN , he put phone down on me twice , couldn’t speak English unless he were taking piss , 55 min stood outside in rain couldn’t bend my hands to open the door ,,10 phone calls , he never told the drive Asda side , driver went to other entrance all time wasting , I were really really pissed off with all of it , would they like there elderly mother like having phone put down on her twice , why say they be here at 8.15 they had no intentions cos it’s a busy period between 7.30 till 9. It’s so wrong well out of order treating people like this , his voice were half dead , couldn’t speak English ,ps UBER is £4 cheaper with up to date cars , in comfort ..

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with this taxi company. I’ve used them before without issues, so I’m wondering if management has changed.
From the start, the customer service was shocking. The woman who took the booking was rude and unhelpful, responding with things like “what” and “no,” followed by silence—offering zero assistance.
She instructed us to call back once we arrived at the airport, which we did. After waiting 40 minutes with no driver, I called again. The response I got was, “What, you’re there now?” followed by, “Be with you in 20.” When I clarified if that meant another 20 minutes, the answer was just, “Yup.”
In total, we were left waiting an hour and a half. When I called to cancel after being told to wait yet another 20 minutes, there was zero apology—just complete disregard. Absolutely disgraceful service.
Stay well clear of this company unless you want to be left stranded and extremely frustrated. I truly hope management sees this review and takes action to improve both their staff’s attitude and the reliability of their service.
Also worth noting—it’s clear they’re trying to drown out negative feedback. If you look at the reviews, the newest ones are critical, while the “5-star” reviews are 10+ months old but suspiciously edited just days ago. Very questionable practice.
No complaints department for this robbing company
I’m a regular customer of Metro Taxis Bolton. I used to take my baby to their nursery, and come back home every other day using Metro, and the charges remain almost the same everyday. Today, a driver charged me more than usual and I paid him. Later, I checked Metro taxi’s app and found that the driver charged me more than the actual charge in the app. I called their call centre and the customer care agent told me the charge was due to waiting in the nursery, which wasn’t mentioned in the app!!!! I informed the agent that I wait the same time everyday while dropping my kid into the nursery and the total charge always included in the app price. The agent initially and then said the driver will return to me to return the rest of the money. I told them I don’t mind to pay whatever the charge is, but they should be responsible enough to make sure that the driver’s robbing customers like me, so, I wanna raise a complaint regarding this matter to make sure it won’t happen again. The agent passed me to his manager, unfortunately, both the agent and their manager said they don’t have any complaints department!!!! Can you imagine running a locally successful company, who doesn’t have a complaint department to serve customers properly? Absolutely horrendous.

Metro taxis I left my phone in taxi and driver brought it back to me. Excellent service as always. Didn't get taxi drivers name but thanks for bringing my phone back . Very polite and kind driver 😊
