The worst brand ever in my life!
I ordered online with Merit since 27 Nov 2024. As of 2 Dec 2024, It’s 5 business days past but they not even shipped and they are still “preparing shipment”.on top of that, the status is not updated so I don’t have visibility at all. The customer service is even worse like talking to AI or bot as they send a link about order and shipment info as if I cannot read. After a few complaints, they replied that their warehouse was closed from the 28th of November and has begun processing orders once more today, December 2nd without informing about it in IG or official website that there may be a delay in delivery! This is a present for my friend and I cannot give it to her on time and have to buy something else as it may take almost 2 weeks or more to be delivered on this Black Friday Season! I buy lots of luxury cosmetic brands for over 20 years but I never experience something like this in term of customer experiences. I could give them ZERO star and I won’t buy from them again and I will tell my friends and everyone around me not to buy Merit! This will be my first time and last time buying with them.
Bait advertising, dubious customer service
I saw a makeup set for sale for £72 on the website. I saw ads about the upcoming Black Friday sale so I thought I'd wait. When it came, it was for sale for £57! But when I added it to cart on the website, it was showing up as £75. I wrote to merit to ask them about the difference and they investigated and told me to check the site again as the problem had been corrected. Turns out they "corrected" the price to £76 which is more than the "on sale" price. I told them I would report them to trading standards and they reluctantly offered me a discount code...so that I could purchase it at £72. There are SO many clean beauty options out there, there is no need to give your business to a company that can't abide by simple advertising standards. They also had a number of products for sale that the conveniently took off the website during the black Friday sale. They said after the sale is over, they'll bring back those products so they can sell them full price. Bait advertising.
Awful eyeshadow
Awful eyeshadow, turns to grit after 3 uses. The customer servuce team sent me another which did exactly the same. No refund. They did say that their eye shadows only last 6 months but this has not lasted 2 weeks! Awful eye shadow.
Subtle, Beautiful and Clean
I have been using Merit products for the past year. I love their lipsticks, lip oil, minimalist stick, flush balm, day glow and bronze balm. I also use the Great skin serum and the Great skin Moisturizer. I use Merit exclusively and prefer the ease of application (I'm not a make-up artist) My skin looks healthy and I appreciate how quick and easy my make up routine is in the morning. It is subtle and if thats how you prefer your make-up, these are awesome products.

My order never arrived me at the address given as USPS returned the shipment for no given reason. All my attempts to get back my money were in vain as merit customer service never replied. I will NEVER buy merit again and will also spread the news about their appreciation of customers. We are thousands of colleagues working as flight attendants for a major airline. The news will spread fast!! I am so very disappointed by merit's business conduct and l hope they will invest my $128,- wisely!!

Unfortunately, the Minimalist clung to my dry patches upon application and made my skin look patchy. I’m convinced it only looks nice if you already have glowy, hydrated skin to start with - which tbh are all the models they show on their socials/ ads.
The Flush balm was also a disappointment. I got the baby pink colour, which sadly looks too much like my natural redness from skin irritation. It is also super sheer, so the colour fades away upon brushing it out a bit/ an hour outside….

I have had very positive experiences with this company and they have always responded promptly to emails. Excellent in my view.
First time customer!
I panicked a little when I saw some of the reviews a few hours after I placed my order. I can only speak of my experience and I can honestly say my order arrived within a week, there was a tracker so I could see where it was on its long journey to the UK. Really pleased with my purchases, yes the serum is a little thin but it’s still fabulous 9/10. The Flush Balm and The Minimalist I give a solid 10 out of 10. I shall definitely be buying from them again.

Thank you for delivering the holy grail of mascara. I've tried EVERY brand and Merit's surpasses all of them. The brush is sublime, you don't need to waste any excess mascara before application, it goes on perfectly, lengthens, no clumping and no smudging. It's truly the best mascara I've tried. Bravo Merit! x p.s all your other products including the foundation sticks and blushers are stunning too. I don't need to buy from any other brand.

Do not buy from merit. They don't answer emails and they have the rudest and most horrible attitudes without helping. They are petty and will cancel orders or orders come(if it ever comes) with missing items. I've even heard horror stories of them charging twice and not refunding. Avoid at all cost

Luckily I only ordered two eyeshadows, I was going to order more.
They sent an email a few days after I’d ordered saying that my order shipped, three days later the tracking still said the delivery company was still waiting for the shipment.
I emailed them, heard nothing back, waited another few days then started a PayPal dispute, it was only then when they finally replied with an unpleasant message basically telling me I was being impatient and that it had shipped.
I replied saying that the tracking shows it hadn’t, I didn’t hear back from them again, so I escalated the case.
Finally, three days later the shipping company received the order.
The shadows have finally arrived but no free make up bag as promised, maybe as “punishment” for having the audacity to ask where my order was.
The shadows are nothing special, VERY overpriced! I will never buy from this company again. Sephora should dump them!

Such a shame this company's customer service is so awful as their products (if they arrive) are actually very good. I've sent them 5 emails chasing an order I don't have and haven't even received the courtesy of a reply. Save your money and your time and avoid at all costs.

Horrendous customer service. Was served by someone who signed off as Libby. Libby was not only unhelpful, but also unreasonable, illogical and refused to even remotely try to help resolve a very simple shipping matter. From what was said to me, it seems Merit just does not care about customer service. They simply don’t give a duck 🦆
Took a little getting used to but it's great.
Starting to get to grips with how this make up works and the aim of it. You need to approach how you do your makeup differently, be more gentle, build it up, go for the natural look. Apart from the serum which really does nothing at all, I'm loving the rest of their products so far (I haven't bought the brow gel or lip oil) and do find they create a super quick, natural look that's confidence-boosting on any day but you can also work with it to make it more glam when required. Expensive? - a little, that's why I bought up some favourites in their annual sale. I would recommend.

Versatile and easy to apply!
Love, love, love the shade slick, minimalist stick, and day glow (which I can use on my checks, eyelids, and lips)! The free signature bag is great for travel and even at home for sitting down to do my makeup. My favorite thing is that the signature stick a d day glow are easy to apply without pulling on your skin and they don’t leave any lines or become uneven within skin wrinkles.

Unfortunately fell for the hype again, not impressed with merit mascara, like a really cheap brand, watery and dreadful and their blush was not much better either. Such a waste of money 🤦♀️
