Warning: AAA MemberDeals Was More Expensive Than Buying Direct
I purchased Dollywood tickets through AAA MemberDeals because I assumed AAA members were getting a discounted rate. After purchasing, I discovered the exact same tickets were nearly $50 cheaper directly through Dollywood.
What disappointed me most was spending over an hour on the phone with customer service only to be told nothing could be done. No adjustment, no accommodation, and no concern that a member paid more through AAA than through the attraction itself.
My advice: always compare AAA MemberDeals prices with the vendor's website before purchasing. Don't assume a AAA deal is the best deal.
Very disappointing experience and not what I expected from a company that promotes member savings.

Pretty straightforward except for payment part. You populated my credit card that I checked on - an AMEX card with correct last 4 digits - with rest of numbers including expiration date not mine. After two attempts, I had to manually put in my credit card info.

Not a real discount
The "discount" price over 2 days jumped up significantly by over $300, as a discount website I expected the discount price to stay the same with the week of looking to booking.

Appreciate that the prices were significantly lower than another online travel agent app. But purchasing through the app had been frustrating, It took at least two attempts to book two different hotels in the same transaction for both legs of this trip.

AAA Travel Booking Experience – Extremely Disappointing
I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience attempting to book our family trip to Walt Disney World through AAA.
From the start, the representative did not listen to my questions or needs and repeatedly gave the same scripted responses, rather than addressing what I was actually asking. When I tried to clarify details, I felt pressured to book through AAA immediately, instead of being given transparent information to compare options independently online.
What was especially concerning was pricing — the quote provided by AAA was $10 higher than booking directly through Disney, which raises serious questions about what value or benefit AAA is actually providing. There was no clear explanation of added benefits to justify the higher cost.
I also requested to speak with a supervisor multiple times (at least four requests). Each time, I was either placed on hold or told someone would check — but I was never connected to a supervisor, which is unacceptable from a customer service standpoint.
Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, unhelpful, and at times misleading. Instead of receiving trusted support for a major family vacation, I left the interaction feeling frustrated and concerned about transparency.
I expected much more from AAA and cannot recommend using their travel booking services based on this experience.
