I've tried a few different story editors. I think Melt offers the most options and definitely the longest stories. Another one I've used only allowed chapters with less than 500 words.

I signed up for the 14 day free trail…
I signed up for the 14 day free trail it let me make 3 chapters then said new chapter limit reached so that sucks I did try to contact them and they responded to resolve the issue I felt like before I signed in the generated stores were way better and the chapter count is off sometimes I’ll have 2 chapter 3 or two chapter 2 etc. I think it only lets you write so many in a day I’ll update at the end of my trail but so far it’s good

Your situation was a particular one. When a bank flags a transaction as fraudulent or blocks it, the transaction is generally stopped or reversed by the bank or card issuer, and the funds are therefore not paid out to us. In this type of case, the matter is in the hands of the bank, and we are unable to issue a refund on our side for a transaction we did not receive.
We would also like to clarify that, once logged in, users can find all subscription-related information in the Settings section, including the option to cancel in just a few clicks. Our contact email is also easily accessible there. As a small company, we do our very best to reply to every request within 24 hours.

Hidden charges
I like the stories but it asks for a one time donation of your choice then continues to charge you 37 dollars a month 2 weeks after. There's no way to cancel or manage any type of subscription, or to delete your account. There's not even a way to get ahold of any kinda of customer service. No email or number to call.

I’m really sorry for this experience — you should never feel like you’ve been “trapped” in a subscription or left without a way to contact us.
We’ll cancel your subscription and review charges for a refund as soon as we can locate your account. Because your emails aren’t showing an active login, it may have been created with a different email/sign-in.
Please contact us at contact@meltstories.com with: the last 4 digits of the charged card, the charge description from your statement, and any possible email addresses you might have used.
We’re also reviewing how clearly we show our subscription terms and support options so this doesn’t happen again.
