MD Live is a scam!!!
MD Live is a scam!!!! They take your money and the doctors are uncaring and unhelpful! I’ve given them multiple chances and every time I’m told “go to urgent care”. They only want your money and then to end the “visit” as quickly as possible! Fraudulent practices and will never use them again!

Stupid policy and waste of time
They messaged me "Due to platform limitations, our providers are unable to complete or sign external forms." I needed a physician results form filled out so that my labs can be sent over to my employer to receive credit/rewards. My husband had no problem getting his pcp to do it but because i unfortunately went with MD Live to do my pcp appointment and labs, now I'm screwed and will have to do a new lab appointment (and pay for it) to get the $300 from my husband's employer. Such BS they wouldn't fill out this simple form! I thought they would be convenient but I guess NOT. Terrible policy and I wish I knew this ahead of time. Will never recommend.

Dr Michele Springer is a joke
Dr Michele Springer completely disregarded my opinion on my own body. She said “this reoccurring issue is not normal and is rare. You need to find the cause.” I then explained that I believe my birth control was the cause. She ignored me & said “anyway you should find the cause.” I asked if she heard what I said, to which she responded “that would be very unusual and rare.” Sis literally contradicted herself. I was so appalled that a woman was ignoring a woman’s concerns. I was right about my birth control! Thanks for doubting me Michelle!

I wish I had read these reviews before using this service and wasting my money. They offered me no help! The doctor spent 3 minutes with me on the phone and told me to go somewhere and be seen in person. However, after calling upon another service, they were able to help me. This place is a rip-off!
They deserve 0 stars. I will never use this service again!!!

Just go to a minute clinic or something... Total waste.
Had my appointment with a doc on MDLive, as recommended by BCBS of Texas, and the process was very quick for taking my money and putting me online with a doc.
The doc, a Promita Roychoudhury, also very quickly ended our call when it was taking me too long upload photos of my script bottle.
I had other questions and another medical concern to discuss with her, but she was long gone...
Then... she approved a 30 day refill once I submitted the photos a few minutes later. So I guess I'm supposed to call back for another 50 bucks next month, on a $3 script, and I never got to ask her my other questions.
Just go to urgent care, or any other random doc online.

Incredibly bad experience
Incredibly bad experience, these people are AWFUL. After one their doctors assured me he would call in my migraine prescription, I drove across town to pick it up at CVS, and surprise, CVS hadn’t received it. After getting the runaround from MD Live’s Indian customer service representatives in two tortuously long phone calls, I was finally told that MD Live doesn’t prescribe sumatriptan. This was FOUR HOURS after my “urgent care” telehealth appointment. Apparently their own damn doctors don’t even know what they’re allowed to prescribe.
These people are utterly incompetent and they absolutely do not give a crap about your health or about providing even minimally acceptable service.
When I think about how much I’m paying BCBS for this worthless service, my blood boils.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I took the time to write a clear but concise description of my condition. It was obvious the provider did not read it, as he recommended something I had already tried and that had failed, as well something I had explained I am allergic to. Not worth 5 cents, let alone the $55 they charge. It’s a low-level scam that is being legitimized because Cigna promotes it. This company preys on people’s suffering in a time of widespread medical deserts in the U.S. It’s cruel.

I would never use MDLife again but they did give me a refund.
After tracking my blood pressure for awhile and saw how high it was getting (175/103) I decided to book an appt with my PCP but she is booked for several weeks so I thought I should try to get a temporary prescription until I could see my doc. Since my daughter recently got a BP script from Teladoc I knew it was possible to get that kind of script from a telehealth visit. So, when I saw that MDLive is in my insurance network I thought I could get a temporary script from them until I see my doc. I filled out the pre-visit form in which I detailed my BP issue so the doctor would be apprised beforehand but when he called he asked me what I needed help with, so I recounted everything I had already written. He proceeded to tell me that it was "outside his scope" to write me even a temporary script "because he isn't my PC doc"...WTH?? Does anyone have a primary care doctor at MDLive? Why do they even exist if that's the case? He told me the usual BP advice that I need to cut down on salt, caffeine, etc...as if that was any sort of real help that someone would be willing to pay for. He then went on to say that if my BP got any higher that I should go to urgent care!!
Afterward, I called Teladoc and two other telehealth services to ask if prescribing BP meds is within their scope of things they prescribe and the answer was "yes" all 3 times!
I have called customer service twice now. The first CS agent confirmed that the doctors ARE allowed to call in scripts for BP meds since they are not narcotics or restricted. Both times I have called customer service I have been told that my case is being "escalated" to a supervisor and someone would call me back soon...but so far NO CALLS!
So, just know going in, since they aren't your primary care doctor, there's a good chance that they will take your money and DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE!
9-8-2025: So I upgraded from a 1-star to a 3-star because a supervisor finally called me back and she was super professional and nice, gave me a refund and explained that the reason the doctor couldn't give me a prescription was because the virtual appt option I chose was for an "urgent care" appt and only a virtual call to a primary care doctor could have resulted in a script. That makes absolutely no sense to me and when I was scheduling the virtual visit it didn't ask which kind of appt I wanted. Also, I explained to her that another problem I have with this situation and her explanation is that I had to detail what my issue was IN ORDER TO SET UP THE APPT so, as I told her, he would have read and already known what I needed help with and shouldn't have chosen to make the call if he'd known that he wasn't going to be able to do anything to help me. They need to have it built into their system to reject appt's if the pre-appt information deems the appt incompatible with their protocols of what they won't treat.

Waste of money
This is just a joke to get money. The doctors tell you to rest and take ibuprofen even though your fever is there and your sinuses are so bad that your face hurts. The only good thing is the appointment call comes quickly. This is supposed to be helpful when you cannot go to an office but they just play you off saying take ibuprofen. That seems to be the go to medication because they repeat that over and over. Never been helped by this.

I would leave a zero star review if I could. The doctor talked to me for about three minutes, maybe, and told me that I should go to an urgent care or emergency room to be seen. I found the doctor I dealt with to be stupid
I found the doctor I dealt with to be argumentative and not understanding of my patient history to prescribe me medication that specialists have stated works in the past. I realize the bottom of the barrel doctors need to practice somewhere because they are not qualified to work as “real doctors”. It’s the island of misfit doctors here.

I'd give ZERO STARS if possible
Got TWO notifications 15 minutes before the appointment, letting me know the appointment was going to happen. Two minutes AFTER the appointment was SUPPOSED to happen....got a notification that the appointment was cancelled. Their 'customer service' was....appalling. Zero help. I would avoid this AT ALL COSTS. Garbage.
UPDATE: Received a message today (Dec 11th, 2025) stating: "We apologize for the unsatisfactory experience you had,, We are committed to patient satisfaction and would like to improve your experience. At your earliest convenience, please contact our customer service line at 800-400-6354 to speak with a Health Service Specialist for assistance and to address your questions or concerns."
I called the number...and after explaining the situation three times, the agent said she 1) Had no idea what I was talking about 2) Had no idea who to transfer me to and 3) Asked me SEVERAL times what kind of doctor I'd like to speak to. An absolute waste of time...I'm amazed they are still in business. They reach out THREE MONTHS after the incident...just to prove that they have new ways to fail. DANGER. KEEP AWAY.

Need a lower star option
My child needed an extension on her Dr note so I contacted their support. The agent “Shay” told us that the note would be uploaded to our account.
Today when it wasn’t I contacted them and was told “so sorry, nothing we can do”
Had they told me YESTERDAY I would have made another appointment and paid another $10 to get the note.
Manager “Serena” was polite and completely unhelpful.
I would not use their service if my butt was on fire and they had the only hose in town. Avoid at all costs.
There is a campaign beginning on social media to encourage Cigna to swap providers and I suggest you join. Less than two stars on trust pilot? I wouldn’t trust them to care for my guinea pig.

A lot went wrong
A lot went wrong. Its website and communication processes are very user unfriendly. In addition to the nonsensical tech difficulties, the customer service agent spoke very garbled, hard-to-understand English. I'm not xenophobic and have taught ESL before. The individual clearly didn't have the English speaking skills in terms of understanding and pronunciation to be functioning in a position of customer and medical processing. After I went through the time and frustration of getting into the system as a patient, I encountered a doctor I found rude, dismissive, presumptuous and ageistic. As far as I know I was billed $25 for their services, but having read some other reviews, I'm concerned it may be significantly higher. When I logged back in to respond to a nonexistent message that was supposedly there which required a password change for a PW I didn't forget and reused again as a new password, I saw the prices as $89 for services. It's rabbit hole that I regret getting pulled into.

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. They charged me $270 even when I had to call back for a question. Apparently they don't check your insurance prior to save you the $89. I could have gone to an urgent care for $50. The doctors on the other end throw you a bone and if you call back they charge you again for a question. I called in March April and July and not one time did they tell me I was not covered

Company is located in Pakistan , they claim they are in California. They 100% share your personal and medical information with other companies. I found them still charging my card long after i cancelled my treatment and cancelled my online account. They told me I cannot cancel my account and I agreed to share my information medical and personal when i signed up. This company is 100% committing fraud and steer clear from giving them your information. They refused to give me an international address so my attorney can write them.

Scam Artists....diagnosis came right from Google
Doctor's diagnosis and treatment plan was general information anyone can find on Google. No prescription and told me to use over the counter products that I had already used and listed on the questionnaire. They won't refund my money, gave me a credit that was less than what I paid originally for a future online visit even though I made it perfectly clear that I was unhappy with their service and would not be using it again.

Charges Depite Full Insurance Coverage
MDLive will charge despite having insurance coverage for 100% of virtual medical visit. And they will do so repeatedly despite having full Cigna coverage info. Reviews of bbb.org reveals common fraud scam against many insured patients across USA. Avoid if possible, or expect to be charged out of pocket despite full insurance coverage.

Extremely Disappointed – Disorganized and Unprofessional
Yesterday was supposed to be my first session with an MDLIVE therapist, but it was a complete mess. Ten minutes after the scheduled start time—with no one calling or connecting—I called MDLIVE to find out what was going on.
To my surprise, they told me my appointment had been canceled, but they couldn’t tell me when, why, or even who canceled it. Meanwhile, I had received multiple alerts reminding me not to miss the appointment, so none of this made any sense.
Then, in the middle of that support call, the therapist called me directly, apologizing for Internet issues. So… which was it? Was the appointment canceled? Was it running late? The lack of communication and coordination was frustrating and made an already stressful situation worse.
For a mental health service, this kind of disorganization is unacceptable. It made me feel like my time—and care—didn’t matter.
