I never write reviews. I should have researched this company before placing an order. I ordered a pillow on Dec 7, 2022. As of today, Jan 18, 2023; my FedEx tracker says that it is supposed to arrive tomorrow yet it is still showing in Utah as the original location. A shipping label was created but they still haven’t shipped the item weeks later? Yikes. I don’t even want it anymore as I changed my colors waiting to build around this stupid pillow. Now I have to return and pay a charge and restocking fee??? Maybe the company website should have a check box/disclaimer on the website that says “If you are placing an order, note that your order may be delayed weeks or months. Our customer service may not return messages or calls. Buy at your own risk”. I think it’s time to outsource customer service if it can’t be managed in house.

I NEVER write reviews. However, I felt I'd be doing a disservice to other furniture buyers if I said nothing. We have purchased numerous items for our home from McGee and never used to have issues. Now, it's a completely new experience.
As everyone else has said, your item will NEVER ship out on time, there is ZERO communication, and you're left wondering if you'll ever actually see your item or if you've been robbed. At this point, being robbed would be an improvement. When you do reach out to them, they'll yank you around and say your item is "close" to shipping out....but of course it never does.
We ordered a living room ottoman in May 2022 and still do not have it. Do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else. Like...anywhere. Craigslist, eBay, a dumpster in the alleyway of a 7-11, etc. would all be better options.

Yikes - their shipping process, or lack of it, is an absolute disaster. I ordered 2 baskets over a month ago and I have received no shipping or update notifications. I was told they were switching their shipping/logistics platform (over Christmas - which is alarming! Why would you do that during the busiest time of the year?). I have contacted them multiple times and got "your order will ship out soon" emails. Every time my order is pushed out of the promised timeframe. I still do not have a shipped order. Save yourself a headache and do not buy on their website.

Ordered from here once, it went great. Placed second order on decor items, kept getting emails it was "shipping" soon, emailed customer service who were response but kept saying "your order will ship this week"...this went on for over 6 MONTHS..finally got frustrated and said ok what is going on here...they finally said there were shipping delays then later said oh the order was "lost" and refunded. Placed order again and again waited 2 months to then suddenly be emailed to say oh these items are now refunded because they are out of stock...despite being well in stock when ordered months prior. I want to love this company but they are making it very challenging. at least please stop saying your item will ship soon when that is not actually the case.

I never write reviews. I ordered 5 counter stools and received 3. It has been 5 weeks and I have had no updates on the pending stools. I have emailed and left messages with no answers.
I had also ordered a dresser and the leg was broken when delivered, so they took it back. They did send a new one.
I don’t want to dispute the payment on the stools because I need them to match the other 3. This is very frustrating.

Awful experience with this company. I placed an order once that was great. I then thought about ordering matching items, added everything to my shopping cart… I saw $49 for shipping and thought “no way” and decided not to order. 5 weeks or so go bug and the items that I never ordered arrive a week or so apart. I check my email, no confirmation. I check our credit card and I was charged. I left a voicemail, no one called me back. I email back and forth with a rep.. takes days bc of constant lapses in communication on their end. I explain, we search for the order- there’s no packing slip and no email confirmation. They then tell me that the order was placed without phone number or email address. Ummm how?! I’ve never heard of this. So I ask them to help resolve and for a return label. They tell me I need to pay to ship it back. So $49 in shipping for items I didn’t place to come to me and likely $75+ to return.. for a $331 order. They are the worst. I asked for someone to call me and the rep never responded.
Update: over a month later, awful reviews, and disputing through American Express the company was suddenly “happy to help” send a return label. I’m still out the $49 shipping for the order I didn’t place and the ridiculous amount of time and nerdy spent on this. The customer service representative was also short and didn’t even say goodbye before hanging up. Never ordering from this company again. Do better.

Just like everyone else, I never received the table I ordered back in March of 2022. It said it was 4-6 weeks on backorder. Okay. I waited. Originally for the end of May. Then June. July. October. I ended up canceling the entire order ans got a full refund. Customer service was helpful in that aspect. However, every time I asked for an update they only told me what I wanted to hear. Why don't you just remove items on your website that are never in stock? How about stop selling items all together if you can't ever get them in stock. The blake dining table is still out of stock to this day. 1/1/2023.

Very Disappointed and don't recommend purchasing from McGee at this point based on customer service quality/experience. Our coffee table took 6 months to arrive and it came damaged so contacted customer service immediately with all the info to request a return/refund. It initially took 4 days worth of phone/calls and emails to get a hold of somebody to request a return, which is still pending close to 3 weeks later. Multiple calls and emails again to get an update and no real response.
Why does it take 3 weeks to process a refund and why isn't anybody answering the phone or email in a timely manner? If I can't get a refund in 2 days (which will be 3 weeks waiting time) I am going to have to reach out to the BBB, Consumer Protection Agency and Texas Attorney General and dispute the charge on my credit card because this ridiculous.

I was waiting to write this review as customer service has been very helpful for me. I was refunded the shipping charge and treated kindly as I expressed my concerns. It has now been 6 weeks since I ordered and I was informed on two separate occasions that 2 items I ordered were now out of stock (including one that still appears to be in stock according to the website). If they were experiencing shipping/fulfillment delays, this should be specifically stated on their website so that one can determine if waiting two months for small home decor items is worth it. The website misleadingly states 3-7 business day lead time for most items. This is completely unacceptable. I am hoping this review will lead to my order shipping as I am very frustrated and upset. I am a huge fan of Shea and her design, but disappointed that after 1.5 months, the warehouse issues have not been resolved.

HORRIBLE Experience. I should have read the reviews on here before making a purchase, but like many others I was drawn in by the nice designs and good sale prices. I ordered 4 items around black friday and, as of the date of this review, I still have not received one of the items. The other three items came only a couple of weeks ago, many many weeks after the promised delivery date.
I have tried reaching McGee & Co. customer service via phone multiple times and every time I sit on hold for 10 minutes before the automated message comes on saying to leave a message. Also tried reaching out via email, and was told "your item will ship soon and we will provide a tracking number when it ships". That was three weeks ago, the item still has yet to ship. It is unbelievably disgraceful that any company selling high-value goods like this would be so careless and difficult to work with. EXTREMELY aggravated by their lack of service and communication overall.
I will NEVER EVER be buying from McGee & Co. again and I will be advising everyone I know to stay away from this company. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I bought a Merry Christmas sign on November 14th and it’s almost Jan 1 with no update as to when it’s coming. Customer service keeps telling me “it’s prepping to ship, 5-7 business days” and it’s been well past that. I ordered a few stockings for Black Friday and they randomly showed up to my door with no shipping notification. I can’t even believe shipping length and terrible communication is even a thing with technology today. Do the owners even realize this is hurting their business, or they just have too much money to care? It’s honestly ridiculous. Never ordering from them again and will definitely be telling others about this.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered a rug during Black Friday sale. It was dropped on my driveway by a freight company several weeks later and when we unrolled it, it was the wrong one. They do not answer their phone, you have to file your “claim” via email, and at this point they are telling me it could be another 4-6 weeks before they decide if they are going to send me the rug I actually ordered Or if they are going to refund my money. What??? I’m out $900 for their incompetence? Buyer beware

Do not purchase from this company. They have a TV show and the couple seems extremely professional, however, I have never experienced such bad customer service buying online. They DO not answer the phone. The only reason they got back to me is because I had to take matters into my own and reach out to my credit card company. We purchased 4 Greely Chairs, (leather) very pretty chairs, however, they were defected. All of them had stains on the leather and the wood in some areas had black marks, the bottom of the chairs had slight holes as if the product had not been finished and all chairs except 1 had a different natural color than in the pictures. I reached out 4x on the phone and several emails. After, 5 days they reached out to me, saying they do not do chargebacks and that they would have someone reach out to me and pick up the chairs. I never got a phone call from the company. After a week, someone knocked on my door to pick up the chairs. I am still waiting to get my money back....

No way to get a real person on the phone.I ordered 3 small items from McGee in September. At the same time I ordered other furniture from two comparable companies. Mcgee was BY FAR the worst in terms of communication, response and delivery. I waited 3 months for two dining chairs I could have gotten from others in 3 days. When they arrived, they were the wrong color and height. I refused delivery and I can’t reach anyone on the phone to ask for a refund. I’m a designer and have used McGee for accessories but will never use them again for case goods. They are not set up well for delivery and distribution and are short about 50 people in their customer service department. Would not recommend….

I wanted to come on here and give a positive review as I had read so many negative reviews which scared me from taking the plunge and ordering from McGee but I took a chance and I actually had a good experience. I placed an order for the Sutherland Canopy Bed, 2 Huxton nightstands and 5 Reeves chairs, during their November sale, and I have received all items as of yesterday, and all were in great condition and good quality. The delivery included assembly as well as debris removal for the bed, but not for the other items. I do think that their handling fees are a little excessive, but I am happy with the items, and I feel that a month turnaround time for furniture is relatively quick compared to what I am seeing from other retailers right now (I have ordered items elsewhere in early November that are not arriving until March or April).

I have been waiting a month for my order. I should have looked up reviews before ordering. Customer service takes days to get back to you. They said my order was shipped and it’s still showing that it hasn’t been from fed ex. So frustrating.

I was particularly attracted to a simple Christmas bulb, it was a bit pricey for what is was but I bought 2 of them on November 7. The site had a pre-emptive apology for the 7-10 business day delivery. Not an issue. Actual delivery DECEMBER 8! I know not everyone is not an Amazon, but the person sending the 3 order update emails could have just put the thing in a box. The real point is that they are noticeably 2 different sizes! In fact one bulb is 2/3 the weight of the other! Maybe this fancy company has bigger orders with preference but really!

Alas, after stalking the website for years and never buying, I ordered a few small trinkets and Christmas tree ornaments November 20th. It is now the evening of December 10th. No updates on my order, no shipping, nothing. It is absolutely irresponsible. At the very least, do not charge my credit card until you can fulfill the order. Severely disappointed and shocked a company of this size can get away with such a terrible experience. I’d cancel my order if it was an option at this point, I don’t believe I’ll ever give this company my business ever again.

This company does not answer phone calls. Their online return portal doesn't work so I am forced to leave multiple voicemails and emails to a customer service team that does not respond. The items I ordered do not match the dimensions specified on the website. I am shocked by the lack of professionalism for such a large company. Extremely frustrated.

Item is supposed to ship withn 5 to 7 business days. Dead silence. I have emailed and left a message on their voicemail since that seems to be the only way to get through.
Supposed to be a Christmas gift will never order from this company again.
