Easy pickup, drop off, organization van was great. Tires were a bit too bald and made me a bit nervous but other than that all good.

Great RV, had a really good trip

The car was in a great condition, clean, full filled with water, diesel etc. The car was clean as well as the bed linen, towels…. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Reliable vehicles and practical

They have given a RV that is different than the one I requested. On the way the RV awning broke and two days to get response for assistance. I dropped the RV after vacation and every thing fine with RV. And two weeks latter they charged my credit card for US 182.00. Bad experience.

We hired the 6 sleeper maui van for 2 weeks around Nth Island of NZ. There was 4 of us, 2 adults and a toddler and a baby. Having the 6-seater meant we didnt have to move the car seats daily. Was very well stocked and easy to set things up and use. We didnt have any issues at all with it, and made our holiday stress-free and able to relax as a family. Would definitely recommend to other young families! Staff were very helpful when needed.

Overall good experience with Maui, easy pick-up and drop-of at Auckland airport. 4 star and not 5 star because we had some minor issues with the motorhome that we could not fix during our tour and there is only very few Maui centers to stop at!

A few things to start the trip off, the step was missing into the camper van, there was no toilet tablets supplied (we had purchased that with the package rental), There was no broom supplied which would have been super handy to have as all that was supplied was a small dust pan. Uncomfortable beds, just such a shame as these cost a lot to hire, also very rattly and noisy, had to hold the microwave whilst driving, plus the TV often popped out of its bracket. We even went for the more expensive model ie.. less than 2 years old.
Wouldn't rent again.....

It was a worry free, and flexible way to tour New Zealand. The vehicle was in excellent condition and we had no mechanical issues at all. The pickup and drop off took a little longer than we thought.

The motorhome experience itself was great. The van was well equipped with everything we needed, apart from steps to get into the vehicle. A bit too high for some people.
The letdown was on pickup, when we had to wait over 2 hours. The staff were polite, but not very efficient. I guess new staff? Upon the return, there was inaccurate recording of the mileage and we were overcharged for the RUC.
So, overall an excellent setup, but customer service lacking.
We consequently purchased a Motorhome (although a larger one) and are very happy with it.

Our 6 berth River Motorhome was great for 4 adults for a 10 day road trip on NZ North Island

The freedom to not be locked in to a camp site and stop when ever we wanted.
We were allocated a brand new Maui at Auckland Airport depot, beautiful looking van. Although the van was not complete when we arrived to pick it up. We had to wait 2 1/2 hours before we departed. Apart from that camper was beautiful to drive and very comfortable.

From beginning to end we had problems
Took 2 hours to pick up van in Auckland despite being booked months ago
Van had problems from the off
seat behind drivers seat did not fasten so could not use as a dining area and had to use seat belt and cases to hold it up
Roof light leaking
Drawers broken had to use cardboard to keep shut
Hot water pipe burst behind sink so had to use bottled water on last 3 days
The worse part however was when we arrived at first site the dirty water tank was full from previous customer and clean water tank not been filled
NEVER AGAIN WOULD I USE THEM

Easy process well equipped van

Our pick up in Auckland at maui motorhome went smoothly. No delay, great advise. The service went smoothly too with the extra towers and bed covers and linnen too. Thanks to ladies that helped us at the desk. We were two families of 10 persons at that moment for two rentals.
