Had our pump installed a few months ago and have been very happy with it so far. From initial meeting to installation, marvel have been great. Would highly recommend

I was a little hesitant at first to use Marvel, however after speaking to a neighbour who had used them for a similar system(heat pump, EV charger, solar & battery) we went for it.
Work was completed quickly and efficiently and to an good standard.
We did have an issue with how long it took for hot water to reach our kitchen, after ensuring that there were no other options, Marvel got a team out to relocate the hot water tank. The system now runs brilliantly. The support from Jack (technical queries) and the ladies in the office is much appreciated

I’m writing to give you my impressions of the heat pump and the installation process.
I discovered a gas leak and the engineer who came out to repair suggested that because I have solar panels then a heat pump would be the better option for the heating and hot water. I looked into this and got in touch with Marvel Heating & Renewable Energy. Ian came to the house to see what was needed and a chat about the advantages of the heat pump and a general idea of the cost of it all. I was happy so far so Marvel arranged an EPC survey. The survey was very thorough and afterwards Neil returned with the results and told me exactly what the specification for the heating system would be.I was given predictions based on calculations for the energy consumption of the heating and hot water over a 12 month period. Ofgem got in touch to confirm the address to claim the £7500 grant. Then Someone came from the electricity board to upgrade the consumer unit. All this was organised by Marvel. Dwain came out to work out an installation plan for the fitters so that they knew the house layout in advance.
From start to finish the installation took about 12 hours over two days. I had fitted the heat pump ,hot water cylinder, 1 new radiator and 7 replaced. I cannot praise the fitters excellent work enough. They worked quickly and to a high standard with no problems.
I have to say I’m very happy with the new heating system. I haven’t had any problems from it at all. I have it on constantly and the house is warm throughout with the energy consumption slightly less than the predictions.
I’m highly satisfied with Marvel Heating and recommend them wholeheartedly.

The installation was very efficient and took less than a day. The company were flexible about the layout and we were able to have the hot water cylinder in the garage freeing up space in our kitchen. And the air source heat pump is really quiet, which was one of my concerns. So far so good with the house feeling warm as we move into November

Marvel were great. The whole process was simple, well executed and efficient. We are delighted with the end product and are already benefitting from savings and flexibility. The strongest element of the Marvel offering were the people. Outstanding individuals who did what they said they would, when they said they would do it, tidily, speedily and effectively. They were an excellent team of people. In particular, Paul, one of their expert plumbers, along with his colleague Matt. Their work was exemplary and Paul in particular deserves recognition for the effort, above and beyond, which he exhibited fine tuning our existing and new system to our exacting specifications.

Having a heat pump was not something my wife and I had considered until we started having problems with our existing combi boiler. After having several quotes to replace our boiler we were quite surprised on how steep the costs were.
This prompted us to call Marvel and I have to say that this first contact was very refreshing. At no point did we feel a hard sell tactic unlike many other companies but rather found the chat to be extremely informative with no pressure to commit to anything.
Following on from this we arranged a home visit with Nigel Ronson. Again, very informative but always felt under no pressure to commit. Nigel carried out a walk through survey after explaining very clearly the processes involved in the coming weeks should we decide to proceed.
A following meeting was arranged with a surveyor to do more accurate calculations. I forget names but again , very professional and informative. Another meeting with Nigel was then set up to go through the full specifications as supplied be the survey . This entailed having 6 radiators upgraded to meet the specific heat requirements for our property plus the size of the heat pump required to meet our specifications.
Nigel was extremely helpful and we really felt he had our best interests in mind at all times.
After deciding to proceed with this project we were contacted prior to installation day explaining procedures again and asked to contact the office if there was anything we were unhappy or unsure about. We didn’t need to worry- First day, 2 plumbers arrived. Polite, professional and very hard working. Day 2, 3 plumbers. Everything was moving rapidly with no dramas. Day 3, electrician and 2 new plumbers , again, very professional and informative. System commissioned and explained to us by the electrician. Very happy.
Finally, all rubbish was left neatly outside. We were then contacted directly informing us that this was to be collected and left tidy on day 4.
Overall, we are extremely satisfied with everything and everyone. The whole process has been minimal stress. The system works superbly .

Marvel heating recently installed a heat pump at my rental property near Manchester. They provided a dedicated member of their team to deal with each stage of the installation and I was able to speak directly with their headoffice as well. They managed the grant application efficiently and the whole installation was carried out with minimal disruption to the tenants and at a time that suited them. I would have no hesitation in recommending marvel heating and am considering using them again for another project

Very efficient service from site survey, planning and instillation. The fitting team were great, tidy. There was a delay for the electrician to finalise the install and then the final commissioning was delayed due to staffing. All in all a good experience

From the initial enquiry everything was explained to us about how the heat pump works and how long it would take any concerns were swiftly dealt with , everything works as should and it is lovelÿ to have heat and hot water .

I was thinking of getting an ASHP installed and asked some of the big energy suppliers to quote. They did and they were eye watering. So I cast around for a more local heating company and came across Marvel Heating. I contacted them and someone came out to explain what could be done and left me to go through everything by myself with no pressure, after I had been through information I had more questions and contacted Marvel about them, Dwain, the owner replied and came out to see me and we discussed what I wanted, he explained what I could and couldn't have and we agreed there and then that they could do the work. A member of Marvel heating came and did a heat loss survey, which sets out what system is needed, ASHP, hot water cylinder and radiators. That done a date was booked for it to be fitted. In all Dwain and Marvel Heating are an excellent team.

I had an Ecodan R290 8.5kw heat pump fitted with a twin coil hot water cylinder, as I had just changed the radiators, they didn't need doing. The installation took 4 days instead of 3 due to the heat pump arriving damaged from the supplier, this was exchanged for a new one. The system was commissioned in June and everything got hot. Due to having Solar Thermal I didn't need to run the heat pump until the end of September and a problem was identified and quickly resolved with a call and photos to Marvel. The problem was a temperature probe in the wrong pocket on the hot water cylinder.
The system is running well and the house and hot water are hot although I don't know if it as efficient as it could be. Everything runs from an app that is good enough to set temperatures and set timings, but to get into the workings of efficiency you have to go through a control panel and even after watching multiple YouTube videos I'm still no closer to working it out.

In all I would say that if you are interested in an ASHP contact Marvel Heating.

Overall Marvel Heating were great, the install didn’t go exactly as planned but when little things go wrong it shows how well the company is with how they put things right and deal with things promptly.

Overall Dwain stands out the most, weekends, night times he was available and working to make sure that the job got done.

First contact with Marvel on the sales side was easy, it does take a little time to gather information to get a price for the system, you also need to have a survey carried out.

Once the order was placed the install team was straight on it and my job was started much quicker than others were offering, 3-4 weeks at the time while others were 12 weeks.

All the engineers that attended were spot on, good workmanship and tidy. Just what you would like and expect from a decent company.

There was a problem with the fuse board, the wire wasn’t large enough to cope with the load, I had a car charger on the same board and when both were running it tripped. After raising this with Marvel, they quickly investigated and sent an engineer to install a new larger wire. Again, some companies might have argued but the work was carried out and in a timely manner.

As for the actual heat pump, I had it installed in August, I had my gas took out (by Marvel) and it was very worrying in case it didn’t work. It’s the middle of November and we’ve had some cold nights and I’m quite surprised and pleased with how it works. I was used to gas, turn it on and quickly the house starts to warm up, with a heat pump you still have that control but it takes a little longer, but when you get used to it it is no bother at all.

The control and app has timers that you can set up, it’s well worth setting these up, it’s easy to do, and then you can play around until you get the temperature where you want it, just like a gas boiler.

There’s some negativity about the MELCloud app and people saying the functionality isn’t that great and that put me off a little but it’s really quite fine and easy to use.

I have a 5 bedroom detached house, with 17 rooms, the Mitsubishi Ecodan unit is doing just fine. Water is stored at a lesser temperature, the cylinder will be sized bigger than a normal gas boiler but we’ve not ran out of hot water yet and it’s still as hot out the tap and shower.

I’ve also got solar and batteries, with tariffs that are available with Octopus my house now has negative energy bills, they are now paying me for energy that I export over and above what I draw from the grid.

Even without solar and batteries, I can notice the difference in better energy usage than with gas and I would still recommend a heat pump.

Would I use Marvel again, yes I would and I’ve recommended them and heat pumps to friends and neighbours.

Marvel were not the only company we approached about air source heat pump installation, but they were the most honest, open and helpful company we found.
From the initial survey through planning to installation everything was handled professionally. The installation team were really impressive, our home had some quirks that required solving as the installation progressed and the engineers handled everything in their stride.
The system was wired and commissioned the day after installation without any hitches. Operation was explained and the Mel cloud app was easy to use to control the heating.
It has performed exactly as we were told it would, if not better; hot water temp and pressure is better than with our old combi. The larger radiators are up to the job of heating our home but are not that much bigger than those for our old system. And we only needed one additional radiator in our kitchen.
Overall we are very happy with the heating system, we were told by people it would be cold and noisy, it is not. The pump is close to our bedroom window and even with the window open we dont hear it. The radiators are cooler than with a gas boiler, but that was expected and is part of the system design as they run cooler but longer.
Marvel were recommended to us by a good friend, they have been every bit as good as we were told. I'd happily recommend them to anyone considering heat pump installation.

We had an impeccable service from Marvel Heating from start to finish of the installation of our air source heat pump. The salesman was extremely informative and helpful and the rest of the team were outstanding ranging from engineers, plumbers and electrician. All headed by Dwain Byrne MD. The work was carried out with extreme care and tidiness We are now reaping the benefits of having the installation expertly done.

The engineers that came were not only knowledgeable and professional, but they were also very respectful of our property.

Anything we asked was never too much and they even did little extras like move some radiator pipes so that the job just looked neater when finished 😁.

After installation I have had the pleasure of speaking with them about the installation and to organise a battery install (which was also done to a high standard and placed exactly where I wanted it to be).

As a testament to the quality of workmanship our installation was chosen for a random quality audit inspection by the bus grant scheme. Today the results came back. Which in fairness was no surprise, but it was a pass with flying colours.

If you are considering a heating company I would honestly look no further. I would also recommend a heat pump. Once set up and tailored to your home (which is well worth spending time to do so) it just works quietly in the background.
