I purchased Mäder & Partner’s paid new-placement service in June 2024 because it was presented as a gateway to the “hidden job market (80% of roles).” In my experience, that promise never materialized. Beyond two in-person meetings and basic comments on my SWOT, CV, and LinkedIn, there was no structured program, no measurable outreach plan, and no evidence of privileged access.
The client platform recycled the same “networking” webinar content under different titles. Guidance on CV/LinkedIn was template-driven and framed as “use this profile for inspiration,” rather than targeted introductions.
At one point I was even encouraged to apply through a competing firm, which contradicts the core value proposition I paid for. I repeatedly followed up, but it didn't make any difference and no action on their side was made.
Meanwhile, using standard applications with the same CV, I personally secured multiple interviews, which undermines the explanation that “the market” or “HR policies” were to blame.
