Love your Fairview location
Regarding the company LUSH NA -
I love lush products I use everything from bombs and bubbles to soaps, shampoos, face washes, lotions, perfumes, and other potions. The scents are great and getting better. The ingredients are generally TDF.
That said there are minor issues-
First, some of the fundraising projects are political and for a company that very recently printed ‘for when the world is too much with you’ (Wordsworth) on your bags it’s a tad confusing. I agree with every cause you support, it’s just now you put the world’s sadness in my tub which is the one place I want to forget it for 30 minutes.
That said it’s nice that you have a social conscious. And your stance on animal testing is so important kudos. Love the current bags.
I gotta say though, I hate online shopping unless it’s for a product with a container because the unwrapped products I order arrive broken and dirty and we have to hunt for packing peanuts everywhere. I understand your desire not to waste packaging and applaud it but not when it means that a bomb I pay $15 for comes in bits.
MORE IMPORTANT ABOUT MY STORE PLS NOTE:
Your store in Pt Claire QC at Fairview mall is the best! I have been a Lushie since you were only on High street in London and outside of the OG store, this little mall store is my favorite shop. Not because it’s huge or has the most stock, because the people who run it are the most extraordinary young people you will meet today.
I want to bring one employee to your attention. Her name is Hope (it’s apt she gives me hope) and she just brings me to tears with her kindness. She knows everything about every product (as do I we have great chats) but it’s more than that. She is just so kind. And she is so considerate of my disability.
I don’t want to go into detail on a public forum but believe me when I say she regularly goes so above and beyond for me and for my husband - who is visually impaired -he picks up my orders quite often he raves about her too.
Please LUSH North America, if you ever single out employees for representing your brand the way you want it to be represented consider her. She is a wonderful ambassador!
Feel free to reach out for more particulars
PS
There is a comment below about disability access and my experience is the opposite. I’m a paraplegic with spasticity. I’ve received help from your staff and store very time I get there whether I was in a manual chair, on my scooter, etc. The staff always went to great lengths to accommodate me - they ensured I had full access to your shop in my bulky chairs - not just to pick things up. And it’s not a new phenomenon I’ve been in a chair for over 25 years.
When I’ve sent others to pick up orders for me they also make it as easy for them as possible.
I am sure that commenter was very frustrated and I get it. Canada does not accommodate disability well, but that’s not on LUSH. Until Canada adopts a policy similar to the Americans with Disabilities Act to force malls and public transport and all buildings and streets etc to be functionally adapted we are in a bit of a pickle, but I don’t see how that is on your corporation.
