I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent order. Despite being advertised as a London-based company, I have discovered that Lune London is not actually based in London. Moreover, the shipment I received today are substandard dresses

I placed an order with Loon London because I found what appeared to be the exact same item sold by Free People, but at a much cheaper price and with more colour options.

After placing my order, I was then contacted with an offer of a 100% refund if I left a review as one of the “first 10 reviewers.” At that point, I had not even received the item, so I was effectively being asked to review a product I hadn’t seen.

This raised immediate concerns. The same offer appears to have been circulating for some time, which makes it very unlikely that I could genuinely be among the “first 10.” That makes the promotion feel misleading.

I understand that under UK consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, businesses should not engage in misleading practices or use incentivised reviews in a way that distorts genuine customer feedback. Requesting reviews before a product is received, particularly when tied to a financial incentive, raises questions about how reliable those reviews are.

I have raised this directly with the company. At this stage, I cannot comment on product quality as I have not yet received my order. However, based on this experience, I would advise others to approach with caution and think carefully about how much weight to place on the reviews here.
