Just received my Fashion Styling diploma. Best decision ever to invest in it at LCS! Super supportive tutors and industry standards taught! A lot of information for a short comprehensive course.

I have finished my week at London College of Style and soon to start the mentoring aspect of the course. I came over for Dublin especially to do this so it wasn’t a decision I made lightly. I can firmly say I am so glad I afforded myself this opportunity. From coming with the initial mindset of doing it “just for me”, I now believe that I could work in this industry. I’m really looking forward to the coming weeks so I can hone my skills and put them into practice.
I was so lucky to be with such a lovely group of women and I found the mix of tutors to be so interesting, giving us a well rounded view of what we need to know along with where we can focus on.

I am absolutely ecstatic and so happy having chosen to do the Personal Styling Advanced Diploma – Flagship London Course at London College Of Style!! Having done the first week in London I feel so much more confident in what I can possibly achieve as a Personal Stylist and all the options and possibilities that I can now see possible thanks to LCS and I’m so excited about it!! I’ve just completed the first week of the six week Personal Styling Advanced Diploma at the London College of Style and I’m absolutely buzzing. The course has already far exceeded my expectations, it’s informative, inspiring and great fun.
The course leaders, Dan Blake and Wendy Elsmore, are true experts in the field and incredibly generous with their knowledge. We also had the chance to learn from a range of other brilliant stylists and specialists, all bringing different perspectives and skills.
I met a fabulous group of women, each so different, each amazing and I already feel part of a supportive, creative community.
I’ve dreamed of becoming a stylist for years, and this course has finally given me the confidence and practical knowledge to go for it. If you’re considering it - do it!

I took a course with LCS as I have an interest in Men's personal styling, as part of my personal development, and I loved it! the Tutors where great, the course was very well put together, and i just loved being part of the community! I highly recommend LCS for personal styling courses!

1000% worth every penny. Two things made the course phenomenal: 1) hands-on practical experience with industry professionals/models that resulted in a professional-looking portfolio that has already secured work opportunities, and 2) the ongoing 1-to-1 mentorship with experienced stylists for class and external projects.
One thing that I will say is that the course is intense (in a good way!); it requires work, time, and commitment. If you are at a point in your life/career where you are ready to invest the time, there's no doubt in my mind that you will launch a successful career in fashion.

Review of the London College of Style
I attended the London College of Style with high hopes, expecting a premier education in the fashion industry. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in several critical areas, leaving me overall disappointed.
First and foremost, communication between students and professors was incredibly poor. Questions often went unanswered, and clarity about course objectives or expectations was lacking. This created a disjointed learning environment that made it hard to stay engaged or feel supported.
Some instructors were not approachable, which further compounded the issue. When students sought guidance, they were often met with a lack of interest or a dismissive attitude. This was particularly frustrating when paired with the fact that feedback on assignments or in-class activities was almost non-existent. We were left to wonder whether we were on the right track or if we were meeting the course’s standards.
The History of Fashion course, in particular, was disappointing. The instructor would only spend about 30 minutes reading through a slideshow, offering little depth or engagement. For a subject so rich in content and significance, this lack of effort felt like a missed opportunity. Additionally, the online material across the board was outdated, and the Google Classroom platform was never updated in a timely manner, making it difficult to follow along or stay organized.
A significant issue was the frequent tardiness of teachers, which showed a lack of professionalism. Furthermore, there was little consistency in teaching methods, with instructors often contradicting one another. This inconsistency left students confused about which advice or practices to follow.
To make matters worse, slideshows were rarely posted, and when they were, they lacked any additional resources to deepen our understanding. For a program designed to equip students with industry knowledge, this felt inadequate.
In summary, while the London College of Style undoubtedly has some talented instructors and an impressive reputation, my experience was marred by poor communication, outdated materials, and a lack of professionalism. The program needs significant improvements in structure, communication, and teaching methods to truly live up to its potential. For now, I would advise future students to approach with caution and realistic expectations.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education, and we are surprised by your comments, particularly as we received consistently positive feedback from your classmates, both formally and informally — including during one-to-one meetings, classroom discussions, and the celebratory gathering we held at the end of your programme. At no point were concerns of this nature raised directly with any member of the leadership or academic team, which makes it particularly disappointing to receive this review retrospectively.
Regarding communication and feedback: We ensure our team is available through multiple channels, including in-person check-ins, email, and scheduled tutorials. All tutors make themselves available for questions during and after sessions. Our faculty is composed of highly experienced professionals from across the fashion and styling industries, and we encourage diversity in approach and perspective. This is intentional, as we believe it prepares students for the nuanced, real-world challenges of the creative industries, and allows for a richer learning experience — while still being grounded in our LCS methodology and structure.
On the History of Fashion module: This module was delivered by a respected academic with deep knowledge of the subject. The class was taught through a balance of illustrated lectures and independent learning tasks. If you felt underwhelmed by one element, we would have welcomed the chance to address that in real time — and support you in exploring the topic further through our additional resources or tutor time.
We do, of course, strive to improve. Where elements such as resource uploads or delivery platforms (e.g. Google Classroom) may fall short for some students, we always invite direct feedback so that we can resolve those concerns promptly. Our slides, learning materials, and post-class support are provided as standard, and we are always available to resend or clarify when requested.
Lastly, professionalism is at the core of our values. We do not tolerate lateness or disorganisation, and any incident that deviates from this standard would be addressed swiftly. To our knowledge and records, there were no formal complaints logged about punctuality or conduct across the delivery of your course.
We are deeply committed to the success and satisfaction of every student. We regret that you did not raise these concerns at a time when we could have better supported you. Nonetheless, we wish you the very best in your future and continued success in your creative journey.

Yinka, thank you for your response. We do not recognise you as a past or current student at LCS.
For clarity, all students are required to agree to our Terms and Conditions when submitting an application, which clearly outline our deposit and refund policies. These terms are fully transparent at the point of application, and you would have needed to read and agree to them before completing your sign-up.
As with all universities and professional training providers, course deposits are typically non-refundable. This is standard practice, in place to manage course applications, secure places, and plan resources in line with student commitments.

I don't recommend London College of Style at all - I wish I'd never enrolled with them.
I took the Colour Analysis for Creatives and Women's Personal Styling course with LCS. I can't overstate how disappointed I am in both, but particularly the Colour Analysis course.
I found it mediocre and superficial at the start; by the time we came to the draping module, I was bitterly disappointed in everything from the drapes, the course content and the teaching quality, to the technical aspects of the learning platform and LCS's organisation and communication skills.
More than half of our entire cohort have submitted written complaints about the course, and LCS did their best to make it impossible for us to get a refund.
We had to threaten legal action repeatedly before they finally gave us our money back. They've now almost doubled the price of that course.
I don't recommend the courses or the organisation at all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We were very surprised to read your extensive comments, particularly as you had completed both of your courses and did not raise any concerns with us at any point during your training with LCS.
You successfully studied both the Colour for Creatives Advanced Diploma and the Personal Styling Diploma (Female Clients), completing all modules (with the exception of the final assignments), achieving high scores and progressing on track for a merit or distinction grade. Throughout the 8–9 weeks of study, we received no indication that you were dissatisfied with the learning experience.
We were therefore surprised to receive a refund request after you had completed both courses in full, which is highly unusual.
Your feedback specifically mentioned concerns about confidence in the practical application of Colour Analysis, particularly in relation to the draping process and accurately identifying client seasons. As with all creative skills—whether Colour Analysis, Art, or Personal Styling—confidence develops through practice and experience. Building your own delivery style is part of the learning process and takes time to refine.
As a gesture of goodwill, we invited you to attend a complimentary in-person Colour Analysis Skills Training Day in London, which included:
• A full recap of the seasonal colour system and tonal ranges
• Live expert-led demonstrations of the professional draping method
• Supervised practice on real clients, with expert feedback
• A live Q&A with our colour team to address any further questions
This session was designed to offer you additional, hands-on support, but you chose to decline this opportunity.
Despite this, and despite having completed the courses and accessed all materials, we still honoured your request for a full refund.
It is disappointing to see a negative public review following the level of training, resources, and goodwill extended to you. We feel this does not reflect the professional and supportive experience that we provided.
We remain proud of the quality of our training and the success of the many stylists who have gone on to build rewarding careers after completing their studies with us.
