Was great, now avoid at all cost!

I loved this brand. Bought so many items, forever was recommending them. Then the quality started to drop. I thought I was just being picky. But after seeing a lot of other comments I realised I was right.

Then they went into liquidation. Refunds pending, orders pending, nothing. And then a new business comes about, having actually been set up 3 weeks before they announced liquidation. With the old stock being sold at higher prices and yet refunds and previous orders still not honoured.

I had Loyalty points saved and was close to a £30 off voucher. Only to be told that this is no longer valid and I can have 10% off instead.

When many of affected, put comments on the Facebook post explaining our frustration and displeasure at everything that happened and asking for an honest explanation (and not just a copy and paste generic answer that was being used), our comments were not only deleted, but we were then blocked from the page.

It seems that the company only wants to show itself in a good light and pretend like nothing is wrong.

Not a good way to run a company or to gain people's trust.

Please, if you're thinking of buying from here. Don't! There are plenty of places that offer good value products, for less price and have far better moral standards.

June 2024 statement

I think it’s important to take full responsibility and accountability for everything, and owe you a frank explanation so here’s what has happened recently, what we have planned, and where things stand now.
Our silence and absence of communication since May 10th was due to legal restrictions in place until today, not for lack of concern. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
⚫What happened to Lucy Locket Loves?
Firstly, I want to apologise to everyone impacted by this, especially our customers and the LLL Team. Despite everyone’s hard work, the challenges of the past 18 months were overwhelming, leading us to enter voluntary liquidation on May 28, 2024.
Supply chain issues, warehouse floods that caused downtime and lost stock, rising import costs that slashed our margins, and the ongoing cost of living crisis hit our revenue hard and disrupted our operations. These essentially made our traditional business model obsolete.
In December 2023, we managed to negotiate monthly rent payments for our warehouse, but by May 2024, the owners insisted on reverting to full quarterly payments, which we couldn’t meet. This led to their abrupt decision to take control of our warehouse on May 10th with no notice, disrupting our operations and leaving us without working capital.
Facing no operational ability and mounting financial obligations, we made the difficult decision to enter voluntary liquidation.
This has been incredibly distressing, particularly for our team, who were reluctantly made redundant. We deeply regret the impact on our staff and their families and I can never say sorry enough for how abruptly this happened. This has personally been the most upsetting part of this process.
⚫Impact and support for LLL community
However, with the support of friends and family I am working towards rebuilding the business to support customers and the community who believe in LLL. Here’s how we seek to honour our community, through goodwill during this transition:
Customer returns: We will process refunds, returns, and exchanges as soon as we are able to access the warehouse in order to process them. (This is still a work in progress being dealt with legally.)
Gift cards: Gift cards purchased from Lucy Locket Loves will be honoured as & when we are back up and running.
Annual delivery passes: Missing weeks from May 10th until we resume operations will be added to extend the expiry date.
We aim to relaunch the Locket Loves website in Summer with a new look, operational hub, and new leggings designs.
This rebuilding phase will take time, especially as I am also caring for my newborn daughter, but I am dedicated to restoring the service and products you love.
Although the past few weeks have been the hardest of my life, I am committed to being open about the challenges we’ve faced. I appreciate your support as we navigate this difficult period. Your loyalty means the world to us, and we are eager to continue this journey with you.
I know some of you have been frustrated at our inability to meet your needs and I apologise for this, we never intended to end up in this position and we hope we can remedy any problems as soon as possible.
I have always tried to tell you all about my journey, the successes and the failures, whether personal or the business and I would like to continue to do this. As we get things back up and running I hope to share more details about the highs and lows of the coming months.

Poor quality

I used to love Locket leggings - good quality material, funky designs, quite a “fun” community. Never cheap but I thought reasonable for the leggings you were getting. However the brand went downhill very quickly when they started branching out from their original business idea, trying to introduce new items and increasing their prices, all while allowing the quality of their leggings to drop significantly. Personally I felt like the business exploited vulnerable customers with constant BOGOF style deals, non stop marketing emails “don’t miss out on this amazing one-off offer” (which would come through daily) and generally looked to be trying to make as much money as possible with very low quality goods. Their liquidation and subsequent rebranding is a whole other issue that I would advise people to read up on before they consider buying from this company again. Locket Logistics as they are called now will not get a penny from me.

Quality has declined

I own several pairs of leggings. They were once great quality but have declined noticeably in the past 2-3 years. The fabric on casual leggings isn't buttery soft like it once was. I probably won't buy again.

Let down in every way

Used to be a loyal "Locket", ordered many a pair of new and exciting leggings, pretty much in a monthly basis.
But suddenly sizing and quality changed, back and forth, it settled for a while, then dropped again and remained poor.
FB became full of influencer type posts and tmi - I was there for new leggings, not to see your mini breaks and kitchen!
Then most recently the audacity to go into bankruptcy and return 2 months later with the same website, Facebook, products etc as if nothing happened - you had a huge debt, both to companies and the tax man, but managed to buy back the stock presumably with cash withdrawn frim the company before the liquidation.. I am beyond disappointed that you have done this, and seem happy about it.. this should be illegal. Why should I as a taxpayer fund your sneaky behaviour?!!

Won't use again

Loved the company but as it expanded prices rose and quality fell - every pair of my same size leggings fit different and lots of zips have broken. My newer leggings also tore easily. Very disappointed by the way she dealt with the liquidation and start up of her rebrand. Any legit questions to the site about it - you'll just get blocked from the site.

Cheap and nasty now - Avoid!

New items not of the same quality as it used t be. Bought a softshell jacket just weeks before the original company Lucy Locket Loves went bust. It’s defo not the same as older stock. The fit is very weird with the arms being miles too long. The hanging hook and lining have all started fraying away with only a handful of wears and the logo on the jacket is peeling off.
Buyer beware! This is not the same “award winning products” that the old company was known for years ago. Cheap and nasty now. Also owner dishonest, setting up a new company just days before the old one goes bust and tried to carry on as normal. Best avoided.

Used to love these leggings

Used to be a loyal customer and own lots of these leggings.
However, the quality changed significantly, the leggings felt cheap, the fit was poor and overall they were not what they were. I have found out that they started buying from China for very cheap, which explains the cheap/poor quality.
the business was liquidated and a new one started using the same social media platforms. I dared to question the previous liquidation & debts etc. I received no reply and was blocked from the social media page.
Buyer beware - the products are cheap from China and sold on for a huge profit. If you dare to question or say anything negative you are chastised by the cult or just blocked with no explanation.

Lies, lies and more lies

I’ve been asking since December if new leggings are coming in. Answers, soon, a couple of weeks, end of the month and all were lies. I hate lies. I saved my loyalty points to buy some and now she won’t honour them at all. I’m £30 out of pocket but I got a 10% off as goodwill. I don’t want 10% off, I want my £30.
I’m going to ask to be deleted off her site, in accordance with GDPR. As she won’t get my money anymore

Unethical brand

Unethical brand. Leaves customers high and dry when they enter voluntary liquidation. Money, orders non existent and loyalty points accumulated....gone!!!
Selling old stock currently for a higher price.
Unfortunately the brand as was, is not the same anymore.

Very dishonest and unhelpful

Very dishonest and unhelpful, makes mistakes which I can forgive but then blames the buyer rather than admits and apologises for there mistakes and try and get out of sorting the issue and offering either an alternative or refund. Cult like mentality of brainwashing people and then deleting and blocking honest reviews as they may be negative. Once great company but now shocking. Over priced and poor quality items.

Huge drop in quality and morals

Used to be a huge fan and quality was fantastic. However, they gradually went downhill and the quality became poor as they started using cheaper suppliers. Then recently they went bust in huge debt to suppliers and wrote off the debt and relaunched, under very questionable circumstances. I will not be a customer again!

Avoid - con artist

Avoid! Owes hundreds of thousands of pounds to creditors, suppliers and staff. Refused to honour gift cards and loyalty points. Uses her newborn baby as a shield to hide behind/as a post to attract positive attention on social media whilst bragging about her luxury lifestyle, deletes any negative (truthful) comments and blocks users on her page who don't leave her positive comments and praise.

Originally, her products were good and I loved the designs. I loved the leggings and went onto buy nightshirts. I did purchase her 'wearable blankets' which were such poor quality, I sent them back the same day they were delivered. But then her other products started to go downhill - leggings fading and bobbling after one wash, designs peeling off the nightshirts.

I've had to request she removes all of my data from her business under data protection and not contact me again, as I did not give her permission to use my information in this manner, following an email statement stating that my data was being transferred to 'Locket Logistics Ltd'.

I'll never purchase another item again from any company under this woman's directorship or anything linked to her businesses, nor will I wear anything of hers again. Luckily, lots of people on another FB group could see through her and she has lost a massive customer base. She ought to be thoroughly ashamed of herself.

No doubt Rachel, or Lucy herself, will pop along soon with their copy and paste response of how their liquidation was 'unplanned' - the same one I've received 3 times in emails! 'Unplanned' but managed to set up her new business with the same name (minus the 'Lucy') weeks before announcing it had gone into sudden liquidation. She's absolutely full of it.

'Phoenixing' may be legal, but it's morally wrong! Avoid anything to do with Lucy Arnold and her businesses. Oh and this isn't the first time she has done this to a business and screwed over suppliers either. The lass is an expert at it.

Awful

Am disgusted by the re launch. She ran up almost a million pounds worth of debts and just started again as if nothing has happened. Massive fraudster.

She is buying leggings selling on Ebay for £10 and trying to pass them off as her own now too

Avoid! Absolute con artists

I used to be a very loyal customer to Lucy Locket Loves, however, recent events have made sure that I never purchase nor wear an item of clothing with this womans brand on it ever again after what she has done. Original items I purchased from here were good quality, but leggings started looking white when wearing them, would wash out and bobble quickly. My oversized nightshirts were bobbling and the prints started peeling after one wash. Then the 'wearable blankets' were absolutely shocking quality, those of which were sent back and I got a refund.

Fast forward to May 2024, posts started appearing on social media about being unable to fulfil orders and refunds, followed by posts that the business was going into liquidation, making her staff redundant without pay. Companies house shows hundreds of thousands owed to suppliers, which has been written off.(see companies house) and yet she's allowed to open a new business, only slightly changing the name, selling the same poor quality items for more money. She claimed that this was 'not planned' nor foreseen, yet must've known she was in £££££s worth of debt, whilst posting about her photoshoots, luxury holidays, house etc on social media, and her parents going on 'gifted' cruises, whilst her loyal customers struggled to get their money back for returns or have orders fulfilled. Absolutely disgusting!

It seems her 'new' Facebook page and post (of her baby daughter to attract attention 🤣) has lots of supporters too, but that's only because she has deleted multiple negative comments on there, only leaving the positives. Oh and she's also removed her 'loyalty points' scheme, including balances that people have saved up, and offered a 10% off code instead (off a £40 pair of leggings that you can buy direct from suppliers for half the cost!).

No doubt 'Rachel' will be along soon with her cut and paste response, the same one I received when I requested they remove all my details as they did not have my permission to transfer any of my data to their 'new company'. They should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

Would not ever buy again from this company. Voluntary liquidation and then reappears shortly after with a slightly different name leaving the debts behind. Dishonest and immoral.

Taken for mugs

Oh dear. When the brand was first out it was great. Good quality and exclusive designs. And then, well who knows what?
They started using cheaper manufacturers, prints available on lots of sites and then expanded into more and more lines losing their focus.
And then... They went bust - "unforseen", don't make me laugh! From around £1 million stock at end of last financial year to £7k this year and still had no money but owed suppliers, staff, HMRC, PayPal, loans and more. All while living a champagne lifestyle. Miraculously before the "unforseen" liquidation, a phoenix company was set up and well what a coincidence they have started trading as Locket Loves. But if there was only £7k stock how can they be making sales.
All one giant con. I would never ever buy from this business in any of it's iterations.

I own a varying amount of Lockets from…

I own a varying amount of Lockets from early 2020/2021. The quality was fantastic and I still wear them now!
But, suppliers were changed (they denied this even though the quality was shocking) and the quality was lost. Loads of unnecessary extra products were added which sent the company into a decline. Customer service and were lost, and the greed kicked in!
Earlier this year, the company went into liquidation, owing nearly £1 million in debt. They took orders knowing full well that they wouldn't be fulfilling them. The staff were made redundant without warning and without pay!
They have now created a similar named company (Locket Loves), brought back old stock and are selling them at a exaggerated price!
I would avoid 100%. There are better companies to buy from that are honest and fair!
If you desperately want Locket Leggings, ebay is the best place to get them, for a good second hand price too!

Duplicity at its finest

Owner, Lucy Arnold, was fully aware for some time that her company Lucy Locket Loves was heading to liquidation and yet still took money for purchases that are still not honoured months later hiding behind 'liquidators said xyz'.
Companies House accounts shows £70k of debt to HMRC, £16k to Royal Mail, undisclosed sums to banks, landlord, suppliers and funders as well as customers and approx £20k to employees.
Locket Logistics, also owned by Lucy Arnold, has 'purchased' the brand and assets and now began trading exactly the same as Lucy Locket Loves.
Lucy Arnold now claims 'preferential debts' have been cleared including payments to the employees yet employees are publicly stating different.
Balance sheet at companies house clearly states assets of LLL were nowhere near enough to fully clear any 'preferential debts'.
I would not trust this woman with my money and expect her to honour the contract between us.

Used to be a loyal customer but never again.

Used to be a loyal customer but since changing supplier the quality of the leggings and crop tops wasn’t good at all items would come apart after a couple of wears which for the price shouldn’t happen. Also the owner decided to liquidate the company and a lot of loyal customers were left without their goods or refunds and getting generic replies with no solution. Now brought back under a new name and higher prices than before I think it’s disgusting behaviour to not pay all those back that they owe. I for one will never buy from this company again even after I’ve spent hundreds previously.
