Bike purchased was an ex demo and the purchase experience was excellent. Subsequently purchased motorcycle gear and optional extras. Would recommend.

Wanted to buy a brand new Trident 660, clothing and so on.
Waited 2 days for an idea on my pex and decided to ride to Lings of Ipswich to try and do a deal. It was a Monday Morning I was walking around the showroom and it took 25 mins before anyone even acknowledged me, which was a very poor start. Then I never ever been so insulted by the PEX valuation of my W800 Cafe.
It has 3000 miles on the clock, mint, FSH and new tyres, they recon worth around £3,400. I explained online with more miles around £5,400 and above retail, so my asking around £4,400 or so as a PEX as reasonable, yet the salesman said I was a thousand pound out. We discussed the retail price, he said he's got to get it through the workshop etc! It's literally just had a full service and tyres, so won't need anything and has a Kawasaki Warranty til Nov 24, so not even a cost there for them, but the salesman said, yeah but we will only make about a thousand!!!?? What about the profit on the new Trident and clothing etc??
I was lost for words, and they were a thousand pound less than what I'd been offered at two other local dealers. A couple of hundred maybe but over a thousand, I was looking at paying full price and get new clothing, but walked out the shop bitterly disappointed with the service.
Not once did the salesman try and resolve the matter, so I just walked out. I sent an email to the salesman expressing my dissatisfaction and to pass this onto the Manager, and that was over a week ago and no one has bothered to send a reply. Worst service ever. Considering I used to be employed as the Sales Manager there in 1998 I just couldn't believe the lack of Customer care.
So I went to John Banks Honda, got what I wanted for the W800 plus some extras thrown in and a service that was miles better than that I had at Lings of Ipswich.

Update.
Strange response states tried to contact? No emails or missed calls from Lings, and the salesperson was sent an email the day I attended the store and asked to forward to the manager, yet still no response from that.
Level of service is dire and disappointing. Again there PEX was over a thousand pound out compared to other local dealers, that's a significant amount of money, and means there mark up to retail would allow £2,000.00 profit on a £5,400.00 bike.

Have to give Lings five stars. Jake was brilliant all the way. From my first enquiry to the final sale. Answered all my questions. All in all one very happy customer.

I purchased a new 2023 triumph Tiger 1200 rally pro from Lings of Ipswich, which is a 2 1/2 hour drive from home, and the reason for this was the price, nobody in Kent could match or beat the price, I had one dealer actually ask me to check if I was purchasing a 900 rally pro not the 1200 as they couldn't not get anywhere near the price. The purchase was done over the phone and by email. Fraser was the salesman and point of contact, although the response time from emails was slow I put that down to how busy they were, which I noticed on my one and only visit. I was welcomed with a cup of coffee and a friendly atmosphere. The bike was delivered a day later than i was told, but after speaking with the delivery driver I can see It was a genuine mistake, I'm over the moon with my 1200 rally pro in polar white with free Triumph paniers aswell, but I would like to say that it could have been given a dust off before being delivered, as buying a brand new bike I didn't expect to have to clean it, obviously from where it had been stored, Overall a good experience and will definitely use Lings of Ipswich again.

Very cordial - offered a coffee upon arrival.
Everybody seemed to be a happy bunch.
Maybe I waited a bit long to take the new bike away, but this was beyond Lings control because the Honda registration site was down.

Fraser made the purchase of my bike very simple. Kept in touch with any updates and had the bike ready to go in a couple of weeks.

From start to finish Jake the branch manager and sales rep Mick went the extra mile so we all happy at the end. No pressure, both always with an outstanding customer service skills and always felt welcoming, dealing with mates . I highly recommend anyone to visit this guy's they will look after you and will do the best for you .

- bought a bike which turned out not to be in stock
- was told would be end of jan but was end of feb
- had to chase all the way through , no feedback on progress etc.

Excellent personal handling of my enquiry from start to finish.
All my questions were answered in full and i felt good buying a new motorcycle from Lings Ipswich. At no point did i feel uneasy as there was absolutely no pressure to buy and i found it to be a very pleasant experience.

I bought my first brand new Bike Honda CBR650R from Lings. The Bike was ready for pickup in a week which made me so happy!
