Poor Customer Service!
Placed on order for a number of items for Christmas gifts on December 1, all indicated 1 to 7 days for shipment. I checked Track Order last week and found out that one item would not be shipped until January and the rest by December 16. As noted by others the bot chat is useless, and when I asked to speak to someone, I was eventually contacted by email only to be given the excuse of a few days delay in shipment - at this point it was already 10 days, not a few. Today I looked into the shipment to learn that shipment date has been moved to December 23. When I got a person on the chat I was informed that one store was filling my order and they didn't have 1 item, so they have requested another store to send it to them, and then they would ship everything, and there is a chance I would get these items before Christmas. So instead of shipping out the bulk of my order so I have it in time, they would rather take the chance I am left with none of the gifts (how embarrassing) - this is extremely poor customer service.
When I was finally able to message with a customer service rep - she ended the chat when I hadn't responded to her within a minute, but it was okay when I had to wait for her earlier.
Update December 19: Customer service rep finally responded to an email I sent December 10th with a follow up Dec 16, to apologize. They have separated the shipment, so the store does not need to wait for the missing item - but it still won't be shipped out until "early next week" - not sure if they realize that's still December 23 (the earliest), so unless its overnight delivery, I will still be left 3 gifts short!

Ordered two sets of dishes both boxes had broken dishes. I have emailed 5 or More times now and no one has responded. I’ve never in my life had such blatant disrespect from a company.

I placed an order on December 7, 2024 and it’s for a pick up at my local store.
I never received a confirmation email of my order but my credit card has been charged.
The bot on their website is completely useless, as it asks me to put in my order number which I don’t have because I don’t have the email from Linen Chest.
I also tried resetting my password to log in to my account but the reset password emails are not being sent.
This is super frustrating as Linen Chest has taken my money and I have no way of getting my order.
I hope to hear from someone because otherwise I will make sure to never order from you again.
Update on Dec 19: I contacted your email twice and never received a reply. You took my money!!

This is my response to the email I received from them. Pretty much sums up my experience. Oh, and they were quick to take my money but slow to refund, still waiting. ………
So let me get this straight. You advertise a product on a “Black Friday” sale at 20% off. You take ten days to tell me the product you advertise is not in inventory and you then proceed to offer me a discount of a lesser value than you had originally advertised?
I have to tell you, this is the first and last time I attempt to purchase a product from you. Approximately 90% of my purchases are online and I have never had this happen to me. At the very least, I think you would offer an identical or greater discount than originally posted due to the inconvenience. I would have at least expected at the very least, someone actually recommend something similar that is in stock rather than this autogenerated email.

I’ve been waiting and sending email messages to linen chest wondering where my package is but they never once responded.
Imagine a company that only has a bot chat for a form of communication and never responds to emails, and has no customer service phone number.
I won’t be ordering from this company again. Today is December 5 and I’ve been waiting almost a week and only saw the package listed with Nationex today.
This is the second time I had an issue with this company. Last year in December I ordered a gift for a friend and had to wait more than a week wait for the package. Then this year I placed an order—forgetting about last year’s experience—snd they shipped in two sepaerate packages. The first package was delivered CANPAR and there was no problem. However, today is December 5 and I’ve been waiting almost a week and only saw the package listed with Nationex today. It took 6 days for them to get the package.
Linen Chest Canada is nothing like Linen Chest USA. They are doing a horrible job.

Terrible experience!!!
I placed an order for 4 bedsheets that were shipped in two different packages on two different days.
When i went to get the packages from the pickup location, there was only one package.
Both of the parcels were assigned
the SAME tracking numbers. The courier company couldn't find the second package. Tracking from linen chest claims it to be delivered, which is false.
I tried multiple times to connnect with their customer service but its no existential with bot giving automated replies. Extremely disappointed.

My first experience online with Linen Chest has been wonderful. I'm surprised by the negative reviews here.
During their 2024 Black Friday sale, I purchased online a dinnerware service for 4. I received the order quickly with excellent email correspondence on the status of my order.
Once I received the order and opened the box I saw one of the salad plates was broken. Considering the fragile package was being shipped from Quebec to Ontario I wasn't surprised there might be a damaged piece.
I signed onto Linen Chest's website and connected with the Chat service. They promptly collected the information, requested a photo of the broken plate and promised to send a replacement.
This was on November 29, 2024.
Today is December 2nd. A package had arrived via Nationex courier from Linen Chest containing the replacement plate. I was surprised how fast it arrived! It was well protected in bubble wrap to ensure the fragile replacement plate arrived intact.
I'm very pleased with the attention and service I received.
They took what could have been a bad experience and turned it into a satisfying customer service encounter.
I would definitely shop with Linen Chest again and recommend their Business.

I've been going here for years. Always a great selection and helpful staff.
Most recently last week - 2nd last week in November -bought a great PRIMA Down/Feather pillow - which is fantastic! Had great help from Rose - who is always a joy to assist or just say hello to!
Also - it's all about the energy that you bring with yout as well.

Save yourself aggravation, buy from someone else. 1) get $5 off for signing up for emails. Get email, no code. 2) get on the longest too-many-questions asked chatbot & wait over 1/2 hour for live agent. Got code after another 10 minutes. 3) get on chatbot for 38 mins to get price adjustment on order b/c it just went on sale again. Find out I can't have price adjustment until I have the items. WHY? Other companies do it over the phone before items are shipped. 4) find out I don't get price adjustment if the new sale price runs out. Well, my order hasn't even shipped yet, to ship Nov. 27th - new price runs out Sunday Dec. 1. Chatbox not on line Sat. or Sunday!!! I can't go to the store because I paid by Paypal! Linen Chest has strings attached to every frigging thing. I shop on line a lot and I sure won't come back to this dead end store. p.s. Even if I could get a price adjustment?? I lose my $5 for signing up for emails. I am still signed up for them, this wasn't an 'on your first purchase' deal, it was just for the emails. Really?? I want to actually talk to a person! Hear their voice! By the way hire more people on your chatbox. Waiting 38 mins. is stupid.

Terrible customer service. I purchased an online order for 4 items and used Affirm as the payment method on Nov 13th. The next day I was worried about the (at that time) pending Canada Post strike. The only option I had was to use the "chat" which I did on November 14th. Linen Chest indicated they use Canada Post as one of the shipping options and could not confirm how my order would be shipped.
Therefore to not take any chances, I asked to cancel my order. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 items had already shipped but customer service was able to cancel the 4th item (I have an email confirmation that the item has been cancelled). The item still has not been refunded to Affirm so now I am still on the hook to pay for an item that has been cancelled, an approx $62.00 item.
I have tried chatting several times but keep getting the run around ie: I was not charged/I have to wait 3 to 5 business days/I have to contact Affirm (who have assured me only Linen Chest can issue the refund). I have emailed the cancellation confirmation I received from Linen Chest and attached the correspondence I received from Affirm, but of course no one replies. Can someone please confirm the refund has or will be processed?
This is unfortunate but because of the lack of customer service, I will not be shopping at Linen Chest again, Canadian company or not.

I have never had a bad experience in 25 years with this business but today my wife and I were treated like crap and we will never go back there again. All this for a cashier with a shitty attitude towards customers. (STAFF 98096)
So don't write back to me asking for more details because I've wasted enough time as it is.
Understand even more why AMAZON is so popular...

Non existent customer service. You cannot get to speak to a human agent. The AI Bot is narrowly programmed; so it cannot respond to all questions a customer has. It is not fair that Linen Chest accepts online orders & a customer cannot get speak to someone to resolve troublesome issues. Imagine ordering towels online on 6 NOvember 2024, then receiving part of the order a week later & being told that the rest of the order would not be shipped out before December 23, 2024. That means I'll be getting it next year.
I would not be buying anything else from this store & I do not recommend this store to anyone until it implements proper customer service. AI does not cut it for good customer service.I should have read the reviews before ordering.

I wish I would have read all those reviews before I ordered through Linen Chest. I ordered a 200$ item online. I received an email with a tracking number from Canpar. After a few days, I check the tracking to see where my order was at. Well, the tracking said it has been delivered to Montréal but I live in Gatineau. Since then, I am trying to cancel my order and get reimbursed but so far I am unsuccessful as they need to investigate. If I do not contact them, they do not contact me to provide updates. Actually, they never have updates, they always say the same thing... No progress on my case. I will never buy from them again, customer service is inexistant.

I was given a reference number on trust pilot.
The reference number is 181505. The answer from Linen Chest advised me to contact the live chat service. I tried, but I could not get an agent to help me. It is just an AI-based service.
Since I have not gotten a solution for my concern, here on this platform, I am asking linen chest: Can I return the unused blind to the store with the invoice printed from my online account?
