They did a satisfactory job of packing and moving all my things. But if you’re considering picking them over other movers/using pods etc because of their competitive pricing, you shouldn’t. They will... Mehr ansehen

They are organized and professional
They are organized and professional. My move was great - no issues. Huge difference from the last time I moved which was stressful as hell and I never wanted to repeat. Luckily I made the right choice with Long Haul Moving!
Amazing communication
Was able to get my stuff moved on time and with non stop communication. Would and will use them again.
If I could give a 0 star I would they…
If I could give a 0 star I would they took my stuff on 12/29/23 I have yet to receive my stuff they quoted me 3k on the day of the move they charged me double so after paying 6 k I am still waiting on my stuff .
Booked a move with long haul, when…
Booked a move with long haul, when moving truck showed up it was from to the moon services.the me n did not speak English, they didn’t wrap anything.upon delivery my adjustable bed, mattress was dirty and torn.the headboard to my bed marred and the endboard and side rails are lost.no one will help and I’m being ignored.
THE MOVE FROM HELL!
Not sure where to start with The Move From Hell because they were AWFUL on SO many levels. They grossly underestimated my cubic footage at 360 cf. Then when their terrible moving company, Colony Moving Services showed up, the cubic footage (for the same inventory vetted by Long Haul) skyrocketed to 600 cf, resulting in an additional $1000 charge (40%)! When I called Bruce of Long Haul to step in, he threatened to keep my deposit if I sent Colony Moving away unless I then paid a penalty for Long Haul to send a different moving company. He wasn’t the only jerk I had to deal with at Long Haul. The worst employee was this truly nasty, unprofessional woman, Sam, in their “customer support” department — what an oxymoron. Colony Moving then made a mess of my move, damaging my property (including a brand new sofa still in its original packing) and both my old home and new home. Stay away from these jerks unless you want The Move From Hell, like mine!!
Rude, Belligerent and Unprofessional
This company lies to make you believe that they are the movers. I was shipping 2 pianos between NY and PA. Russell told me they were professional piano movers and they disassemble the piano, wrap it, ship it and reassemble at new location. They brokered it out a crew that had only moved spinet pianos and not baby grands. Significant damage to the baby grand. When I called for compensation they said here is the insurance number and when I pressed for further remediation for being lied to, for the driver trying to escalate the price by $1,127.17 for more cuft than was originally estimate. I had to physically show the driver, using a tape measure that it was only 195 cuft and not 600 cuft. Bruce from Long Haul simply said "your piano got delivered, didn't it". They are unprofessional, rude and belligerent. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Complete scam of a company
Complete scam of a company. Their sales associate Sandi convinced me to cancel my uhual reservation because it was “too expensive” and then I was charged DOUBLE what she quoted me on pick up day. She told me 3-5 days and I am on day 15 still waiting for my things in a new city in an empty apartment. Also was not transparent with me about the truck moving my actual belongings would have OTHER PEOPLE’s stuff in there too and multiple delivered would be made before they even get to mine. Do not waste your time with these people. No common sense or courtesy whatsoever
First off never use a broker
First off never use a broker! That was our fault and we get that. BUT LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES.
We booked through this shady company(didn't know at the time)2 months in advanced. Were quoted one priced. The movers showed up at 430PM the day of the move and then told us we were going to be paying double the price estimate. Since we were backed into a corner and had to be moved out that day we had to pay the double price. SHADY SHADY SHADY BUSINESS. You were warned
Shady company that will quote you super…
Shady company that will quote you super cheap. When the movers actually get there you can expect to be charged at least double. LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE AND USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!!!
Total crooks
Total crooks here. Don’t believe a word of what they say when setting up the original order. They will tell you afterward that you did not ask the right questions and try to make you feel like you are an idiot. They lie and deceive. The price on pickup was thousand dollars more than my original quote even after I was told I still had more room to add stuff if needed. I didn’t need to add any more, yet on pickup they said I needed an additional 200 cif over my initial quote. Your deposit is non refundable so that kind of leaves one in an untenable situation. Go else and save yourself a ton of grief and a whole lot of money. These people are not honest.
Fraudulent crooks
Fraudulent crooks. My sales agent said book it for 450 cubic ft because that was the size of my storage unit that I was moving. I told him it was not full and he told me three times that whatever the size it turned out to be that is what I would be charged and claimed I would be credited for the difference if it came in lower. After everything was picked up it came in way less than 450 cu. ft but now they claim 450 was what I booked and that's what I have to pay for. Thatys ridiculous because they want me to pay for the space I'm not using and they will put another customer's things there and get paid for that same space twice. That's called double dipping In addition they tried to claim that when they loaded the items they had to walk over 75ft and so they charged me an additional $225! Fortunately I took photos of the loading area and you can clearly see that it was less than 30ft! They are lying thieves. Do not trust them and use someone, anyone else. I have to sue them to get a fair deal!
Acting like scammers
Acting like scammers.
They provided a nice estimate, but when a truck came, they wanted to charge 700 more claiming that I have more items. When I showed them my estimate with a list of items exactly the same as I had to load, they said that cubic feet were calculated incorrectly by them when providing my quote! So, they were sure that I have to pay $700 for their own mistakes. I had to leave some of items because of it.
They promised to deliver on November 8th. On November 18th (10 days later), they called saying they come "tomorrow" and asked for more money. After I paid, no one appeared next day and whole next week. So, it was pure lie and scam.
Thus, in total I paid more than normal moving company would take and I have no idea where my stuff is.
NEGATIVE STARS.
I wish I could give this company negative reviews. Not only do they have lying sales people and work to scam you out of significant amounts of money but wow is their customer service AWFUL. The representative I engaged with was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to. He raised his voice with me and was not helpful at all. I asked once to speak to a supervisor and he said no. When I finally was able to get to their voicemail, or course their was no response ever. They drained me thousands of dollars and were extremely disrespectful, unhelpful, and unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They’re truly awful and have made my move so stressful. Save yourself money and a headache. They will overcharge and under deliver and they will not do anything to help make it better.
The fact that the customer service rep. even has a job in customer service is a miracle he should thank God for daily. There’s no way he’d ever have a job from a reputable company.
We had such an amazing experience with…
We had such an amazing experience with long haul moving and storage. I was a little apprehensive considering this was our first time using a moving company. We were impressed from start to finish. We will be issuing long haul for any future moves.
I spoke and emailed
I spoke and emailed, several times with Tim Walker. At no time did he inform me that this company is only Brokers. I gave him an inventory of what needed to be moved. I even contacted him to add additional items and he requoted a price. It was only when the movers showed up, several days later, that I found out that Long Haul was a broker, not a mover. Tim's quote wasn't anywhere near what I needed and ended up having to pay at additional $2680 to have things moved when I should have only had to pay $1437.52. Then a Joe Ryan is texting me when the movers are there and I ask him to call me and he couldn't even bother. I call today to ask to speak with a supervisor over the relocation specialist and spoke with someone named Jake Gomez. Jake just wanted to play with me and clearly thought my situation was a joke. He never once identified himself as a supervisor, then about 5 minutes in, he said he was a supervisor. Jake asked me if I had sent an email. Email to whom? When their senior relocations specialists can't bother to return your call and I get treated like crap by a customer service rep on a power trip, what am I supposed to do and no one will talk to me and I was NEVER told about any email. I was very honest about what needed to be moved and your company messed up and no one has the courtesy to even call me or return my call.
Very Helpful
The movers made the process of moving so much easier and helped decrease the stress of having to relocate. I would highly recommend.
SCAMMERS
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE QUOTE BEFORE AGREEING TO COMMIT!!! Like many of the negative reviews reported here, they are not fake reviews. Similar to their experiences I also felt like they were a scam. My move was from Broomfield, CO to Austin, TX. I was quoted about 1800 for a full move on a 1 bedroom apartment with 286 cu ft. and 15 boxes. 800 something due at the beginning as a deposit. I was told I would have to pay the 800 something at the time of pickup. I had no idea that Long Haul is a broker and they subcontracted through local movers. When Spartan Movers (subcontractor) came to my apartment they stated that the cu footage was about 400 (I wouldve never known what the cu ft is - seeing they told me the standard is 286 cu ft and that I "would be fine as long as I stayed within 15 medium boxes which I only had 11 boxes") and not 286 cu ft, and that the contract states there is extra charge for each cu ft., also if you have more than one flight of stairs there is a cost, if it's over a certain distance there is a cost...instead of paying 800 something, I was charged close to 1200 dollars for pick up. Spartan movers - horrible company in Denver, CO. When I called Long Haul they stated that I would have to pay whatever the subcontractor stated because they are the ones doing the pick up....so bottom line folks - Long Haul will TELL you anything to get their initial deposit - they told me that the person on the contract (Andy Harper) would be the one to do the pick up, lie. They QA person said I would be ok and not charged extra past what was on the contract, lie. So don't listen to what they say....READ the fine print! Customer service was horrific except for Sam and Bruce, but again READ the fine print. When I got to Austin, the 18 wheeler driver (another subcontractor - not Spartan) called me and was kind enough to work with me and I had an amazing experience with Joseph with Interstate Van Lines where I wasnt charged the 800 something like Long Haul suggested, I had to again pay a little less than 1200. What was supposed to be a total 1800 something dollar move, I paid close to 3000. All in all I would NOT recommend this company. If you look at their profile on DOT - you will see that this company has only been around for a little over 6 months.
The company will now write a reply to this saying some things...but one thing to consider is that not everyone who wrote a review is lying! Save yourself from falling for the fine print trap. What looks and sounds to be simple and basic is not.
David was awesome
David was awesome. Kind and efficient. He was able to help on any questions that I had. Made our moving experience go as smooth as possible.
David Owen - Outstanding Service
I had the pleasure of working with David Owen. He was a breath of fresh air and professionalism. He was very knowledgeable, well spoken and very polite. I had rented trucks many times a few years ago to complete a major move and found renting a truck straight forward. OMG no more. David was the only person of the 10 or so people I spoke with that I would do business with. Thank you, David for your help.
