Pathetic and unable to deliver on promises
Order number **********00. Order was placed and paid for on the18 October2025. We have had parts of our oder delivered from November. Which in itself is pathetic to take 3 weeks to start delivering. Since then we have had 3 deliveries and the order is still not complete. I have contacted them over 20 times with never getting a resolution. You hold on the line for 30 minutes until being cut off. They do not return calls or emails. The service would receive a zero star rating if this was an option.

Dont order from Gadgets hub SA on le Roy Merlin website
If you order directly from le Roy Merlin website and they are the sellers of the product it's 5 star experience, but when using a third party like Gadgets hub SA, stay far away because Lawrence is a scammer, he delivers a different make of what you ordered then evades you, battle to do a return and get a refund , I'm waiting 6 days now for my money , Leroy Merlin keep on sending a message saying they investigating my query

If I could give a 0 I would. After repeated confirmations of delivery date, that always expired, I was always told that it will be here tomorrow. Absolutely terrible that such a well regarded store would give 3 empty promises. I will never shop there again
Extremely Disappointed With Delivery and Communication
I placed my order on 26 November, and the delivery date was clearly stated as 3 December. Today is well past that date, and I still have not received my order.
From 4 December, I started calling and sending emails because nothing was delivered. I did not receive a single reply to any of my emails. When I finally managed to speak to someone, I was assured the delivery would happen on 5 December. I even arranged for someone to be at home since I wasn’t there, but no delivery arrived.
I explained several times that this machine was urgently needed for customer orders that must be completed over the weekend of 6 December. I specifically chose to buy from this store because the delivery date seemed reliable and would allow me to start client work early. Instead, I have been left waiting, unable to fulfil my orders.
What is most frustrating is:
1. No response to emails
2. Empty promises about delivery dates
3. Repeated misinformation, telling me the machine will arrive when it clearly won’t
This experience has caused huge inconvenience, delays in my business, and unnecessary stress. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and reliability.

To buy something online is a nightmare, you will battle to get any feedback on your order. The callcentre, if you eventually get answered will put you on hold for 30min plus.
Then the lies begin. Impossible to deal with and get straight answers.

No regard for after-sale service or recurring business
It saddens me to write a review in disfavour of a company I used to support and trust for several construction projects over the course of two decades. Most recently, I advised a highly valued client to purchase a kitchen appliance from Leroy Merlin which he has been struggling to return in exchange for a better suited, significantly more expensive appliance. Without fail, online orders are required to be settled in full before they are dispatched, the amount for which they promptly collected from my client's account. However, in utter disregard for consumer rights, the company displays no consideration whatsoever for aftersale service . I am perplexed by the absolute failure to respond to continued, regular follow up emails requesting that the product my client pruchased be exchanged for a superior product. While the purchaser has honoured the terms of sale, the retailer has not. As the consultant who recommended Leroy Merlin, not only am I embarressed and ashamed of my referral - my reputation and reliability has suffered a blow. I shall henceforth take my business elsewhere; it appears that Leroy Merlin does not need recurring business from home renovation contractors and cater to a consumer market who do not value customer care or relationship management.

I have been trying to return an item bought online for a refund for more than a month! Online platform for returns incredibly frustrating. Keep on receiving e-mails that the request has been resolved, BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED.
Impossible to speak to anyone in person.

I discourage anyone wanting to order online. I ordered online on 4 August 2025. As of today, 28 August 2025, I am still waiting for items. I have to enquire every day. All they say is that they will come back to me. Which they don't. This has been a very frustrating experience. I haven't had such bad customer service in a while.

Order 000741932. I ordered a standby battery and after waiting for a long time for delivery they gave me the wrong one which is completely useless to me. After initial enquiry only then they tell me they didn’t have the one I ordered to they decided themselves to send me another battery without communicating with me. I’m now currently waiting almost 2 weeks for their courier to come pick up the battery for a refund but still nothing. They have stopped replying to my emails as well. Do not buy from these people. Worst customer service.

Worst Customer Experience Yet!
I purchased the FERRE stove online on April 30th, and it was delivered on May 2nd. At first, everything seemed fine—until I inspected the stove and realized how poor the quality was. Disappointed, I immediately requested a return.
Here’s where the issues began:
Strike 1: They informed me they would deduct 10% of the amount plus courier fees for the return—unexpected and unfair for a product that was clearly substandard.
Strike 2: Despite multiple reminders, they only collected the stove on May 14th, leaving me waiting for nearly two weeks.
Strike 3: On May 17th, I received a call assuring me the refund would be processed "as soon as possible." Yet, as of May 26th, my money still hasn’t been returned.
This entire ordeal has been stressful and costly. If I had bought from Makro (I ended up buying from them) or Takealot, I would have had a better customer experience.
Final Verdict: NEVER AGAIN. I strongly recommend avoiding this Leroy Merlin and opting for more reliable retailers instead. Save yourself the hassle!

Order number #000708978 - was informed the day after the order was due to be delivered that one item was not in stock. After numerous calls it was agreed that the out of stock item would be removed and the remainder of the order delivered with a promise that the order would be delivered the next day. Despite numerous calls and promises - it wasnt. Calls and messages were ignored. Several calls this morning - and finally the order arrived - with 3 out of 4 items damaged/broken. They were in a box and not wrapped individually so presumably have knocked against each other which has caused scratching/breakage. First order with LM and definitely the last.

Worst customer service and experience…
Worst customer service and experience ever. I have since bought an item online, delivery was extremely delayed and I have been fighting to get my item delivered. I’ve wasted so much money on airtime by following up daily. Leroy Merlin failed to hold the courier company accountable. I will never make the mistake of buying from this store again. I paid for the item and I have not received it and no one seems to be bothered about it. I have never been so frustrated. I’ve even taken the decision to cancel the order and request my refund. I should’ve checked the online reviews of this store before I purchased the item online. It has bad reviews and I am not surprised. I paid for the item, it wasn’t a freebie, why should I struggle and fight so much to get it even after affording them enough time? To make matters worse I was disrespected so much by the courier company (RAM) whose driver keeps on manipulating the system to create false reports as if they tried to deliver when in fact they didn’t even attempt to do so.

He really came through for me, handled my query so professionally, remained calm regardless of the pressure , assured me that he will help me, he kept his promise! I was so upset after the horrendous service from Nucleus delivery company which failed to fulfill my order delivery.Firstly my order was partially delivered, worse still late delivered while my contractors needed to finish my installation, I had to rebook them waiting for my other remaining part delivery. Shockingly, the delivery was short still. I don’t know where they lost my item because upon investigation, it was picked in full at the store. I was fuming flames 🔥 having to rearrange my contractors schedule, having to cancel my work planned to wait for this delivery coz I wanted to do this while on festive leave, having pay my contractors transport to come back again! That was terrible!
Fast forward, Phumulani came to the rescue, his calm demeanour makes him great at what he does.
Thank you Phumulani!!! We need people like you to keep this boat rocking !!!

We visited Leroy Merlin in Fourways on Saturday - 05-10-2024 after being to numerous stores earlier in the day including the Boksburg branch and I can honestly say that we haven't received such great customer service in a while.
Bonga Sibisi, the department manager assisted us with our purchase and was extremely polite, patient and most importantly for us, excellent in his product knowledge.
We cannot express enough of our thanks for his efficiency and will definitely be visiting the Fourways branch more often because of him.

It took 4 weeks and countless calls and emails to get a refund (which was below the correct amount)

I am having the most terrible time with this company. I ordered a sink which arrived damaged. I contacted them to ask them to collect it, and send a replacement. That was on Wednesday, 10 July 2024. The damaged item has still not been collect, the replacement not sent and customer services are doing nothing. They are totally ineffective. I have launched 2 complaints so far and not heard a word.

Unfortunately, Leroy Merlin's incompetence and inefficiency continues! I truly feel that it is necessary to warn your clients, and future clients, about their dreadful service. After my complaint yesterday, a solution was reached. The damaged sink was to be collected today, and the replacement sent. I received all the collection paperwork via WhatsApp and email. I had been informed by Leroy Merlin that I just needed to show the collection paperwork to the driver. I queried this and asked if I needed to print it out but was told that this was not necessary. I have taken screenshots of the communications. Today DSV arrived and refused to take the damaged sink as I did not have printed collection paperwork. The driver called his office and the woman he spoke to told him that he could not take the item without the paperwork. I showed him the message but alas it was not to be. Please note that the DSV driver was fantastic and he is a credit to DSV! The issue is the agreement between Leroy Merlin and DSV. I am beyond astounded by the continued inconvenience, and stress, that I am being put through by total inefficiency.
