Very disappointed, we expected a look at the 2026 model caravans from the popular manufacturers but no, swift or coachman. Will not be going next year.

Brilliant friendly service
On arrival at a site in Yorkshire I realised that we did not have our Motor Mover hand controller. As we had used it to manouver the van when we collected it from storage I realised that I must have left it on either the A frame or the rear bumper and thus lost it !
I was able to put the van on to the campsite pitch using the car .
We know that we need the mover to return the van to storage because of the limited space so decided to try and find a replacement. I contacted two dealers to discover if we could get one in time and the price. They both told me the new price and explained it might be a few days to arrive
We then went to Catterick Caravans and explained our problem to the Service Manager (Andrew). I asked if he could get us one before we had to move on. He asked us to wait and took our Powertouch handbook with him for the model details. Only a few minutes later he returned and we were surprised when he put a hand controller on the desk. in front of us. He said that it was second hand but we could tune it to our van and gave us a brief description of the process. When I tried to pay he said that there was no charge as it was previously 'used'. Needless to say we were most surprised and so grateful. When we returned a few days later to collect some toilet fluid we saw Andrew and once again explained how thankful we were and told him we had been able to tune the handset to the van.
It is so rare these days to get service staff that are so kind, helpful and friendly.

From our first viewing to driving away, the staff here were professional, friendly, reassuring and patient. All our queries were answered and the features of the van demonstrated thoroughly. The inevitable teething problems following our first night in the van were sorted immediately. No hesitation in recommending this company.

We bought a new campervan from this…
We bought a new campervan from this firm in 2024. There were some "snagging" issues noted prior to collection, Some of these were repaired, but crucially others were not. We were told that parts had been ordered and the problems would be fixed. We opted to accept the van and trust the firm. As I write this in September 2025, the problems still haven't been addressed, and my attempts to get Leisure World to resolve my warranty claim have either been ignored, or met with obfuscation. In one ridiculous exchange, we were told that the person dealing with our warranty claim had left the company, and that was the reason for the delay! The last email that I received, in February this year, informed me that they were sorry to hear about these issues, and they would be back in touch to sort them out. I've given up trying to get any further with this company. Based on our dealings with them I would recommend that you look elsewhere

Poor service. Avoid
After being told they deal in caravans we travelled for 2 hours to look at purchasing a touring caravan. Having searched the various sales areas we approached a salesman who we had heard boasting that " he was the youngest and BEST " salesman in the company.
We asked where are the new caravans and he told us they dont have any!! Even though they state they deal in caravans!
I mentioned that we had travelled a distance and mentioned that it says they deal in vans. His response was a stupid grin and he pointed to 1 used touring van as he said "we do sell vans"
He had such a stupid smug look on his face and seemed to enjoy the fact that we were disappointed.
With this sort of attitude and carefree smug response I would not dream of visiting this place again.
After chatting to the previous couple who spoke to him, they had the same opinion.
Avoid this place, we have since been elsewhere and purchased a new van with far better customer service.

Our motorhome was in for warranty work the whole process has been handled very promptly and professionally and the repairs completed to a high standard.

Bought motorhome in North West, and then warrenty work needed. Great to have Leisure World, Catterick agree to take on this work as I live in North Yorkshire. Able to book in at convenient time, appointment confirmed a few days before. All done on time. Informative and friendly staff.

Gets better each visit…
Our 4th visit since buying our new van and each time we come we see more and more improvements. We had breakfast in the cafe whilst we waited for a few jobs to be done on our van and it was very good value and absolutely superb. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, particularly on the service desk. The technician who worked on our van kept us fully informed of progress and did a great job. It’s clear that a significant amount of money has been invested in the business and the shop in particular is incredibly well stocked and competitively priced. If I could make one suggestion it would be to keep on top of the cleanliness of the show vans because as the foot fall increases they will need regular cleaning to make them look tip top to potential buyers.

Cannot fault the service today. I called at 2:30 pm with an issue that would prevent us leaving for the continent. I was informed they could fit me in @ 4pm to see if they could resolve my issue. I drove down, was booked in and the problem was resolved by 4;30. The young lady & the technician were superb. Polite, friendly, professional & a credit to themselves and the company. Five stars on every level. Thanks again.....

Excellent service for an urgent problem
We were staying down the road & called on spec for advice because we’ve had an episodic problem with the brakes on the caravan on and off this year - the technician came to speak to us and he seemed to resonate immediately with what the issue was. Luckily a cancellation had come up for the next day so we were booked in to enable it to be checked out and this was done efficiently. 3 problems were identified and sorted in an afternoon and straight away the difference has been noticed. The staff were all really professional from the reception staff to technicians who dealt with us and the after care manager. We are Very grateful for the service received. Thank you!
